  • How can I integrate Java with .Net?

    - by Luke
I have one SDK that is available in Java and another SDK that is available for .Net and would like to write a single application that interfaces with both of them. I imagine I will need to use a cross platform communication framework that can support named pipes (or other in memory communication), what is the best choice? After some more research I found Hessian -- does anyone know anything about the maturity of this project?

    - by scriper
    #coding: utf-8 str2 = "asdf????????" p str2.encoding #<Encoding:UTF-8> p str2.scan /\p{Cyrillic}/ #found all cyrillic charachters str2.gsub!(/\w/u,'') #removes only latin characters puts str2 The question is why \w ignore cyrillic characters? • Can IMAPI2 burn files with the size > 4Gb?

    - by Sergey Skoblikov
IMAPI2 interface IFileSystem uses COM IStream interfaces to represent file data. There is AddTree method that adds specified directory contents to IFileSystem. So AddTree must create IStream's in the process. I wonder what implementation of IStream it uses? If it uses the standard OLE implementation than we have a nasty problem because OLE streams doesn't support files bigger than 4Gb. Can anyone shed some light on this issue?

  • Two Phase Commit with MongoDB

    - by mattcodes
Heres what Im thinking. Do you see any issues with this workaround to emulate 2 phase commit when using something like MongoDB where each operation is atomic and there is no support for transactions outside of that? transaction_scope: read message from servicebus - UpdateCustomerAddress get customer aggregate from docdb, replay events where commited =1 call customer.updateAddress validates creates customer address updated event apply event event store as uncommitted events do optimistic concurrency update against docdb pushing uncommitted events (single op to ensure consistency) publish event to service bus update docdb set events just published to commited = 1 (again one 1 op - at least in mongodb) transaction_complete

    - by ChrisWesAllen
Hello guys, I'm trying to add some online tests to my site and before I rolled up my sleeves I was wondering if there is any ruby on rails plugin support for such a task. Essentially I'm looking for something that lets me add multiple choice questions. Performing the scoring logic would be an added bonus. Any one know of anything?

Or perhaps vulnerabilities that could be introduced in the conversion of code base to support multiple languages. • How do I accurately handle a batch separator for SQL from C#

    - by Sam Saffron
For Data Explorer I would like to add support for a Batch separator. So for example if users type in: select 'GO' go select 1 as go Go select 100 I would like to return the three result sets. Its clear that I need some sort of parser here, my hope is that this is a solved problem and I can just plug it in. (writing a full T-SQL parser is not something I would like to do) What component / demo code could achieve splitting this batch into its 3 parts?
