  • [LAZARUS] Access Remote SQL Server Database on WinCE programming

    - by Dels
    I'm programming using Lazarus (Freepascal IDE, Delphi Like), and i have a problem when i need to connect into a remote SQL Server database on the network. My question: Is there any way to connect to a remote SQLdb on Lazarus? What is required connector type for SQL Server 2005? Is there any ODBC driver available for Windows CE (Windows Mobile 5/6)? (If so, I could use TODBCConnection...) I already searched and asked on the Lazarus community forum but didn't get any response

  • WinForms AcceptButton not working?

    - by Svish
    Ok, this is bugging me, and I just can't figure out what is wrong... I have made two forms. First form just has a simple button on it, which opens the other as a dialog like so: using (Form2 f = new Form2()) { if (f.ShowDialog() != DialogResult.OK) MessageBox.Show("Not OK"); else MessageBox.Show("OK"); } The second, which is that Form2, has two buttons on it. All I have done is to set the forms AcceptButton to one, and CancelButton to the other. In my head this is all that should be needed to make this work. But when I run it, I click on the button which opens up Form2. I can now click on the one set as CancelButton, and I get the "Not OK" message box. But when I click on the one set as AcceptButton, nothing happens? The InitializeComponent code of Form2 looks like this: private void InitializeComponent() { this.button1 = new System.Windows.Forms.Button(); this.button2 = new System.Windows.Forms.Button(); this.SuspendLayout(); // // button1 // this.button1.Location = new System.Drawing.Point(211, 13); this.button1.Name = "button1"; this.button1.Size = new System.Drawing.Size(75, 23); this.button1.TabIndex = 0; this.button1.Text = "button1"; this.button1.UseVisualStyleBackColor = true; // // button2 // this.button2.DialogResult = System.Windows.Forms.DialogResult.Cancel; this.button2.Location = new System.Drawing.Point(130, 13); this.button2.Name = "button2"; this.button2.Size = new System.Drawing.Size(75, 23); this.button2.TabIndex = 1; this.button2.Text = "button2"; this.button2.UseVisualStyleBackColor = true; // // Form2 // this.AcceptButton = this.button1; this.AutoScaleDimensions = new System.Drawing.SizeF(6F, 13F); this.AutoScaleMode = System.Windows.Forms.AutoScaleMode.Font; this.CancelButton = this.button2; this.ClientSize = new System.Drawing.Size(298, 59); this.Controls.Add(this.button2); this.Controls.Add(this.button1); this.Name = "Form2"; this.Text = "Form2"; this.Load += new System.EventHandler(this.Form2_Load); this.ResumeLayout(false); } I have done nothing else than add those two buttons, and set the AcceptButton and CancelButton. Why doesn't it work?

  • "Bad binary signature" in ASP.NET MVC application

    - by David M
    We are getting the error above on some pages of an ASP.NET MVC application when it is deployed to a 64 bit Windows 2008 server box. It works fine on our development machines, though these are 32 bit XP. Just wondered if anyone had encountered this before, and has any suggestions? Details as follows: Bad binary signature. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131192) Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: Bad binary signature. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131192) All projects are set to compile for Any CPU, and are compiled in Release mode. The ASP.NET site is precompiled, and the precompiled build is on a 64 bit Windows 2008 TeamCity build agent. Thanks in advance. EDIT We're still plagued by this. I have looked at all the binaries in the website's bin directory using corflags.exe. None has the 32BIT flag set, and all have a CorFlags value of 9 except for Antlr3.Runtime.dll which has a value of 1. The problem only affects certain pages, and it seems to be those which use FluentValidation (including FluentValidation.Mvc and FluentValidation.xValIntegration assemblies). None of these shows anything out of the ordinary when inspected with corflags.exe, and there are no odd looking dependencies revealed by ildasm. When built locally (32 bit Windows XP) the site deploys and runs fine. When built on the build agents (64 bit Windows 2008 Server) the site displays these errors. The site runs in Integrated Pipeline mode, and is not set to 32 bit. The stack trace is: [COMException (0x80131192): Bad binary signature. • Http requests / concurrency?

    - by maxp
    Say a website on my localhost takes about 3 seconds to do each request. This is fine, and as expected (as it is doing some fancy networking behind the scenes). However, if i open the same url in tabs (in firefox), then reload them all at the same time, it appears to load each page sequentially rather than all at the same time. What is this all about? Have tried it on windows server 2008 iis and windows 7 iis

  • Convert 12-hour date/time to 24-hour date/time

    - by Patrick Cuff
    I have a tab delimited file where each record has a timestamp field in 12-hour format: mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss [AM|PM]. I need to quickly convert these fields to 24-hour time: mm/dd/yyyy HH:mm:ss. What would be the best way to do this? I'm running on a Windows platform, but I have access to sed, awk, perl, python, and tcl in addition to the usual Windows tools.

  • firefox, jQuery ajax calls firing twice and never triggering success or error functions

    - by Adrian Adkison
    Hi, I am developing with the .NET framework, using jQuery 1.4.2 client side. When developing in Firefox version 3.6, every so often an one of the many ajax calls I make on the page will fire twice, the second will return successfully but will not trigger the success handler of the ajax call and the first never returns anything. So basically the data is all sent to the server and response is sent down but nothing happens with the response. Here is an example of the call I am making. It happens to any of the ajax calls, so there is not one particular that is causing the problem: $.ajax({ type:"POST", contentType : "application/json; charset=utf-8", data:"{}", dataType:"json", success:function(){ alert('success'); }, error:function(){ alert('error'); }, url:'/services.aspx/somemethod' }); }) From firebug, here are the headers of the first call which in firebug shows as never completely responding, meaning i see no response code and the loader gif in the firebug never goes away. Note:In firebug it usually says Response Header but for the first call this space is blank Server ASP.NET Development Server/9.0.0.0 X-AspNet-Version 2.0.50727 Content-Type application/json; charset=utf-8 Connection Close Request Headers Host mydomain.com User-Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401Firefox/3.6.3 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729) Accept application/json, text/javascript, */* Accept-Language en-us,en;q=0.5 Accept-Encoding gzip,deflate Accept-Charset ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7 Keep-Alive 115 Connection keep-alive Content-Type application/json; charset=utf-8 X-Requested-With XMLHttpRequest Referer http://mydomain.com/mypage.aspx Here is the header from the second request which just appear to complete in firebug (i.e response is 200): Response Header Server ASP.NET Development Server/9.0.0.0 X-AspNet-Version 2.0.50727 Content-Type application/json; charset=utf-8 Connection Close Request Headers Host mydomain.com User-Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729) Accept text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,*/*;q=0.8 Accept-Language en-us,en;q=0.5 Accept-Encoding gzip,deflate Accept-Charset ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7 Keep-Alive 115 Connection keep-alive Content-Type application/json; charset=utf-8 Referer http://mydomain.com/mypage.aspx To summarize my question, why are two requests being made and why are neither of them triggering a success or error handler in the ajax call. I have seen this article about firefox 3.5+ and preflighted requests https://developer.mozilla.org/En/HTTP_access_control#Preflighted_requests In the article is says if a "POST" is made with any other content type than "application/x-www-form-urlencoded, multipart/form-data, or text/plain" than the request is pre-flighted. If this is the case, this should happen to all of my calls. Thanks

  • Put MFC CDialog in a WPF form

    - by splintor
    Hi, We are porting an MFC application to WPF, and will probably won't have time to port the entire application. The MFC app has many CDialog-based windows, and we are thinking of leaving some of these windows in MFC, and show them inside a WPF window, so we can control their modality from WPF. Is there an easy way to accomplish that? If not, can you recommend another way to handle this? thanks, splintor

  • Force sharepoint to ask for authentication

    - by amonteiro
    Is there a way to force sharepoint 2010 to popup the dialog to ask the user for a username and password and not use the computers logged in user, if that user doesn't have access. We need an internal sharepoint website to not use the windows credentials, since these are computers used by many people. The windows user doesn't have access to the site, so currently it shows an access denied, click here to log in as another user. We would prefer if it just asked for credentials in a more graceful manner.

  • Problem with Google App Engine Appstats

    - by Taylor L
    I'm having an issue getting Appstats to work correctly. Using /appstats or /appstats/stats ends up in an infinite loop that keeps redirecting back to /appstats/stats. This results in a 404 error saying the page isn't redirecting properly. Any idea what the issue is? Here are the relevant lines in my appengine-web.xml. I've tried using both /appstats/stats and /appstats and they both have the same issue. <admin-console> <page name="Appstats" url="/appstats/stats" /> </admin-console> Below are the http headers showing the infinite redirect loop: http://mysite.appspot.com/appstats/stats GET /appstats/stats HTTP/1.1 Host: mysite.appspot.com User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv: 1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Accept: text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,*/ *;q=0.8 Accept-Language: en-us,en;q=0.5 Accept-Encoding: gzip,deflate Accept-Charset: ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7 Keep-Alive: 115 Connection: keep-alive Cookie: USER_LOCALE=en_US; JSESSIONID=POTIUPPpEmjHZoaNDWOSTA; ACSID=AJKiYcHiwT8jH7e01V9O5iFu3kpBhDd3k3oBwwxylv5u0DbJ- utvdpsgdb4Xim2WXwobkJmgTGGljvuh94_yVQ__- VPnBsTtUAhRjSyZ2Lv3G7oUHAxTsCWHJIMChGT3- XUyUNx8wxwvJisL_RTXH8Hc4TTLh_rVHm2k8gk8kgdbVZXexSV0K- a3coELTecWIBolt0qLd5L-5vALm382KsqbHorPXqoZMPTvR_06g_mR1cbmF2Ihnk6YhP7no58BNpESM9HvFyKNKXODo39hF4oaZCcW0Q9TBqUMgsrBqlcIh3- VvC7qvH0n_nAtrLTBbK_swnOFvCDcaf3whT9ty0CJ0VRNuNqIPOLHIeQAMgwXUNMr89P64EsgmuyONHR67glCQXEPOGXIaT1vcBJFwFoeNUqjdp824fHvoVhaL7Xlav- LTIFuM3f_ymHLmibk57PRuXUYEaAG HTTP/1.1 302 Found Location: http://mysite.appspot.com/appstats/stats X-AppEngine-Estimated-CPM-US-Dollars: $0.645553 X-AppEngine-Resource-Usage: ms=18965 cpu_ms=27884 api_cpu_ms=0 Set-Cookie: ACSID=AJKiYcF_YA7PB18b3T5OO7vEMo31f1hFhO8xKqFRiBUGrCr4YABAAyugZXcDfKMOM- r0FiK8xlOPfQWx3tOWIJ6ueOqK89X8M9YfHIs8WKUcSs6PwNZSKV0HKxvbqeWxfZI_cpo2YoS73s_RPlyEvjaYLOf6iXPpWeYyKTAbSqPOEBnVnTk3oso6ur66CIj3FnN8vsHfbanqY4sbaRsNj9pLjWZco0quYLOK1fd4wRZx_oAvk3jOlfAj7BZ7p9L1bO8oVCMpVn19cwT6zvO2-9RSjfiOPAacw7Cg0MT30r7Fr7SCj7VcSPAye4lc7tb9KL9ztZEk0xbEX-9vC6vHM_VfPJ54Kb_FycxE6lACsKTE4hj0bOa2-2quaOP0NSxfoH9ozLlQQCsGhpWBnlu__W06D0GqDqxcDUu2HocYqWuLi91aoa- aRTkqB_qo4aAa3OvHeKoFgwrS; expires=Mon, 12-Apr-2010 19:41:49 GMT; path=/ Date: Sun, 11 Apr 2010 19:42:08 GMT Pragma: no-cache Expires: Fri, 01 Jan 1990 00:00:00 GMT Cache-Control: no-cache, must-revalidate Content-Type: text/html Server: Google Frontend Content-Length: 0 ---------------------------------------------------------- http://mysite.appspot.com/appstats/stats GET /appstats/stats HTTP/1.1 Host: mysite.appspot.com User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv: 1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Accept: text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,*/ *;q=0.8 Accept-Language: en-us,en;q=0.5 Accept-Encoding: gzip,deflate Accept-Charset: ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7 Keep-Alive: 115 Connection: keep-alive Cookie: USER_LOCALE=en_US; JSESSIONID=POTIUPPpEmjHZoaNDWOSTA; ACSID=AJKiYcF_YA7PB18b3T5OO7vEMo31f1hFhO8xKqFRiBUGrCr4YABAAyugZXcDfKMOM- r0FiK8xlOPfQWx3tOWIJ6ueOqK89X8M9YfHIs8WKUcSs6PwNZSKV0HKxvbqeWxfZI_cpo2YoS73s_RPlyEvjaYLOf6iXPpWeYyKTAbSqPOEBnVnTk3oso6ur66CIj3FnN8vsHfbanqY4sbaRsNj9pLjWZco0quYLOK1fd4wRZx_oAvk3jOlfAj7BZ7p9L1bO8oVCMpVn19cwT6zvO2-9RSjfiOPAacw7Cg0MT30r7Fr7SCj7VcSPAye4lc7tb9KL9ztZEk0xbEX-9vC6vHM_VfPJ54Kb_FycxE6lACsKTE4hj0bOa2-2quaOP0NSxfoH9ozLlQQCsGhpWBnlu__W06D0GqDqxcDUu2HocYqWuLi91aoa- aRTkqB_qo4aAa3OvHeKoFgwrS HTTP/1.1 302 Found Location: http://mysite.appspot.com/appstats/stats X-AppEngine-Estimated-CPM-US-Dollars: $0.002243 X-AppEngine-Resource-Usage: ms=64 cpu_ms=93 api_cpu_ms=0 Date: Sun, 11 Apr 2010 19:42:08 GMT Content-Type: text/html Server: Google Frontend Content-Length: 0

  • Google maps API - info window height and panning

    - by Tim Fountain
    I'm using the Google maps API (v2) to display a country overlay over a world map. The data comes from a KML file, which contains coords for the polygons along with a HTML description for each country. This description is displayed in the 'info window' speech bubble when that country is clicked on. I had some trouble initially as the info windows were not expanding to the size of the HTML content they contained, so the longer ones would spill over the edges (this seems to be a common problem). I was able to work around this by resetting the info window to a specific height as follows: GEvent.addListener(map, "infowindowopen", function(iw) { iw = map.getInfoWindow(); iw.reset(iw.getPoint(), iw.getTabs(), new GSize(300, 295), null, null); }); Not ideal, but it works. However now, when the info windows are opened the top part of them is sometimes obscured by the edges of the map, as the map does not pan to a position where all of the content can be viewed. So my questions: Is there any way to get the info windows to automatically use a height appropriate to their content, to avoid having to fix to a set pixel height? If fixing the height is the only option, is there any way to get the map to pan to a more appropriate position when the info windows open? I know that the map class has a panTo() method, but I can't see a way to calculate what the correct coords would be. Here's my full init code: google.load("maps", "2.x"); // Call this function when the page has been loaded function initialize() { var map = new google.maps.Map2(document.getElementById("map"), {backgroundColor:'#99b3cc'}); map.addControl(new GSmallZoomControl()); map.setCenter(new google.maps.LatLng(29.01377076013671, -2.7866649627685547), 2); gae_countries = new GGeoXml("http://example.com/countries.kmz"); map.addOverlay(gae_countries); GEvent.addListener(map, "infowindowopen", function(iw) { iw = map.getInfoWindow(); iw.reset(iw.getPoint(), iw.getTabs(), new GSize(300, 295), null, null); }); } google.setOnLoadCallback(initialize);

  • AutoScaleMode problems with changed default font

    - by Doc Brown
    Hi, I have some problems with the Form.AutoScaleMode property together with fixed size controls, when using a non-default font. I boiled it down to a simple test application (WinForms 2.0) with only one form, some fixed size controls and the following properties: class Form1 : Form { // ... private void InitializeComponent() { // ... this.AutoScaleDimensions = new System.Drawing.SizeF(96F, 96F); this.AutoScaleMode = System.Windows.Forms.AutoScaleMode.Dpi; this.Font = new System.Drawing.Font("Tahoma", 9.25F); // ... } } Under 96dpi, Windows XP, the form looks correctly like this 96 dpi example. Under 120 dpi, Windows XP, the the Windows Forms autoscaling feature produces this 120 dpi example. As you can see, groupboxes, buttons, list or tree views are scaled correctly, multiline text boxes get too big in the vertical axis, and a fixed size label does not scale correctly in both vertical and horizontal direction. Seems to be bug in the .NET framework? Using the default font (Microsoft Sans Serif 8.25pt), this problem does not occur. Using AutoScaleMode=Font (with adequate AutoScaleDimensions, of course) either does not scale at all or scales exactly like seen above, depending on when the Font is set (before or after the change of AutoScaleMode). The problem is not specific to the "Tahoma" Font, it occurs also with Microsoft Sans Serif, 9.25pt. And yes, i already read this SO post http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2114857/high-dpi-problems but it does not really help me. Any suggestions how to come around this? EDIT: I changed my image hoster, hope this one works better. EDIT2: Some additional information about my intention: I have about 50 already working fixed size dialogs with several hundreds of properly placed, fixed size controls. They were migrated from an older C++ GUI framework to C#/Winforms, that's why they are all fixed-size. All of them look fine with 96 dpi using a 9.25pt font. Under the old framework, scaling to 120 dpi worked fine - all fixed size controls scaled equal in both dimensions. Last week, we detected this strange scaling behaviour under WinForms when switching to 120 dpi. You can imagine that most of our dialogs now look very bad under 120 dpi. We are looking for a solution that avoids a complete redesign all those dialogs.
