  • How do you make sure your pakcet is delivered to right client using public ip address

    - by TemporaryNickName
So private IP addresses are 192.168.00 ~ 192.168.255.255 or 10.0.0.0 or 172.16.0.0 ~ 172.31.255.255 If I accepted a client to my serversocket, I can get the client's remoteIp address by using socket.getremotesocketaddress(); But I suspect the IP address that I'm getting from this method is only the public IP address and it must have more than one client using same public IP as this one (one like you see when you go on to the website www.whatismyip.com). So if I want to make sure that my packet is delivered to the right person using some IP address or otherthing that uniquely identifies a person, what should I have to do?

  • Read Text File line by line using Command Prompt/Batch

    - by user353305
Hello All, First of all I am very thankful to the owner of this website. I have learned and implement various technologies with the help of solutions provided by the readers. I know the question I asked is posted many time in this forum. And I have tired all of the solutions available, but no luck I may case I am trying to read a dat file which is basically a msg/feed file having more than 22000 Characters. Every line may or may not be of same length. My requirement is to convert the file to fixed line length character file. I have a logic that work well using vb script, however its pretty slow. I have checked with For f/ but no luck. The only delimiter I have is EOT, which i can see in Textpad but not in notepad. I have tried with \n, token=. Please help me in resolving the issue. Regards, Rajiv [email protected]

  • Degrafa color changer

    - by proyb2
<degrafa:LinearGradientFill id="bluedream"> <degrafa:GradientStop color="#6ab5d0"/> <degrafa:GradientStop color="#388aae"/> </degrafa:LinearGradientFill> <degrafa:GeometryComposition graphicsTarget="{[bgCanvas]}"> <degrafa:RoundedRectangle id="color_preset" fill="{bluedream}"/> </degrafa:GeometryComposition> I have issue with degrafa code which I have defined a set of different gradients for color_preset.fill to be dynamic change when user select different color in the combobox. I replaced fill="{bluedream}" with fill="using_variable" and lead to error compiled message: Initializer for 'fill': values of type com.degrafa.core.IGraphicsFill cannot be represented in text. Is there a solution to use this code as a color changer?

  • Accessing elements from an array in objective c

    - by James
I am trying to access individual elements of my array. This is an example of the contents of the array i am trying to access. <City: 0x4b77fd0> (entity: Spot; id: 0x4b7e580 <x-coredata://D902D50B-C945-42E2-8F71-EDB62222C0A7/Spot/p5> ; data: { CityToProvince = 0x4b7dbd0 <x-coredata://D902D50B-C945-42E2-8F71-EDB62222C0A7/County/p15>; Description = "Friend"; Email = "bla@bla.com"; Age = 21; Name = "Adam"; Phone = "+44175240"; }), The elements i am trying to access are Name, Phone, etc ... • app_label in an abstract Django model

    - by rayan
Hi all, I'm trying to get an abstract model working in Django and I hit a brick wall trying to set the related_name per the recommendation here: http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/topics/db/models/#be-careful-with-related-name This is what my abstract model looks like: class CommonModel(models.Model): created_on = models.DateTimeField(editable=False) creared_by = models.ForeignKey(User, related_name="%(app_label)s_%(class)s_created", editable=False) updated_on = models.DateTimeField(editable=False) updated_by = models.ForeignKey(User, related_name="%(app_label)s_%(class)s_updated", editable=False) def save(self): if not self.id: self.created_on = datetime.now() self.created_by = user.id self.updated_on = datetime.now() self.updated_by = user.id super(CommonModel, self).save() class Meta: abstract = True My common model is in [project_root]/models.py. It is the parent object of this model, which is located in an app called Feedback [project_root]/feedback/models.py: from django.db import models from mediasharks.models import CommonModel class Feedback(CommonModel): message = models.CharField(max_length=255) request_uri = models.CharField(max_length=255) domain = models.CharField(max_length=255) feedback_type = models.IntegerField() Basically I'm trying to set up a common model so that I'll always be able to tell when and by whom database entries were created. When I run "python manage.py validate" I get this error message: KeyError: 'app_label' Am I missing something here?

  • How to simulate :active css pseudo class in android on non-link elements?

    - by chas s.
I'd like to be able to mimic the behavior of the :active pseudo class on all elements in Android webkit. Currently, the :active syntax only works on a elements (links). Nearly all of the actionable elements in the app I'm working on are something other than a standard link tag. iOS webkit supports :active on all elements. /* works on both android iOS webkit */ a:active { color: blue; } /* works on iOS webkit, does not work on android webkit */ div:active { color: red; } I've found a couple of resources [1,2] that solve similar problems, but they're both a bit heavy, and I'm wondering if there's a lighter weight solution that I'm just not able to find. http://cubiq.org/remove-onclick-delay-on-webkit-for-iphone http://code.google.com/intl/ro-RO/mobile/articles/fast_buttons.html

  • MVC Custom Model Binder Binding Multiple Values

    - by BMD86
Hello everyone, I have a scenario in which I have multiple sources to bind to my model. For one, I have a view tied to a strongly-typed model, but this scenario also entails posting data to this view from a 3rd party site. Essentially, what I believe I am after in the custom model binding is to investigate the form values in the Request object within HTTPContext to see if I have a field such as "postedFirstName". If so, I want to bind that value instead of the textbox "FirstName" in my view. I've done a good bit of searching but have not find anything that exactly addresses such a scenario. This link was close, I thought, but not quite: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/970335/asp-net-mvc-mixing-custom-and-default-model-binding Any input is greatly appreciated!

  • Modal windows plugin to rails

    - by VP
Hi, I'm starting to digg some rails plugins to create modal forms in rails. Almost all documents that you find are too old (2006,2007) or more focused in php. I would like to create a "feedback" tab that when you click on that, it opens a form. For example, you can check the railscast website, http://railscasts.com/. Ryan Bates made it in his website, but didnt make any screencast about it. any idea/tip about a rails plugin to work with jquery and to do those forms?

  • Unable to sign an imported msi.dll assembly using tlbimp

    - by BigMoose
This seems so trivial, yet I can't get it to work.. I have an msi.dll wrapper (named Interop.WindowsInstaller.dll) which I need to sign. The way to do it is by signing it upon import (this specific case is even documented in MSDN: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/zec56a0w.aspx). BUT - no matter how I do it (w/ or w/o a keyfile, w/ or w/o adding "/delaysign"), the generated assemly's size is always 36,864 bytes and when viewing the DLL's properties there is no "Digital Signatures" tab (needless to say - the DLL is NOT signed). What am I missing here?? (... HELP!...)

  • What technology to use for a RIA

    - by user297159
I have to develop a online business software solution (similar to ERP) for a company to manage the information exchange for internal use and with external partners. It should be online. What technology should I use, I have checked framewroks like: Flex, Silverlight, Google/GWT, sencha (ExtJS), jQuery, DoJo, Telereik, Infrajistics and others similar. But they seam to be very low level programming. May be this is advantage for other projects, where you need more flexibility, but this project is stright forward. I need something more focused on business software (tables, forms, processes) where and eventually more efficient with less coding, or something I can save time. Is force.com an option? But I can not install this on the customer's servers... Do you have any ideas for me for a web based framework focused on business applications?

  • ASP.net MVC support for URL's with hyphens

    - by John
Is there an easy way to get the MvcRouteHandler to convert all hyphens in the action and controller sections of an incoming URL to underscores as hyphens are not supported in method or class names. This would be so that I could support such structures as sample.com/test-page/edit-details mapping to Action edit_details and Controller test_pagecontroller while continuing to use MapRoute method. I understand I can specify an action name attribute and support hyphens in controller names which out manually adding routes to achieve this however I am looking for an automated way so save errors when adding new controllers and actions.

  • SQL Compact Edition 3.5 SP 1 - LockTimeOutException - how to debug?

    - by Bob King
Intermittently in our app, we encounter LockTimeoutExceptions being throw from SQL CE. We've recently upgraded to 3.5 SP 1, and a number of them seem to have gone away, but we still do see them occasionally. I'm certain it's a bug in our code (which is multi-threaded) but I haven't been able to pin it down precisely. Does anyone have any good techniques for debugging this problem? The exceptions log like this (there's never a stack trace for these exceptions): SQL Server Compact timed out waiting for a lock. The default lock time is 2000ms for devices and 5000ms for desktops. The default lock timeout can be increased in the connection string using the ssce: default lock timeout property. [ Session id = 6,Thread id = 7856,Process id = 10116,Table name = Product,Conflict type = s lock (x blocks),Resource = DDL ] Our database is read-heavy, but does seldom writes, and I think I've got everything protected where it needs to be. EDIT: SQL CE already automatically uses NOLOCK http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms172398(sql.90).aspx

  • Automatic open Colorbox modal window

    - by user1631168
I'm using the Colorbox module in Drupal 7. I'm opening an external website. I can make it work with a link. Click here, then click the "colorbox popup" link at the bottom, middle column. The client would like this to open automatically when the page opens. I've created a block and added the following code (from the colorbox site). <script type="text/javascript"> // Display a welcome message on first visit, and set a cookie that expires in 30 days: if (document.cookie.indexOf('visited=true') === -1) { var expires = new Date(); expires.setDate(expires.getDate()+30); document.cookie = "visited=true; expires="+expires.toUTCString(); jQuery.colorbox({html:"http://join.raretearepublic.com/popup/", width:887, height:638}); } </script> But it does not work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Produce high-quality, custom-size thumbnails from Office documents on Windows?

    - by Edwin
Hi, What do you think would be the best way to produce custom size image thumbnail from MS Office documents (doc, xls and ppt) on Windows with native code (means all means besides .NET/JAVA)? My current research result: IExtractImage COM. Problem: The size of the generated result is fixed and low quality, and you can't be sure all the source documents contain the thumbnails. Use a programmable virtual printer to print the specified page, and the printer must support image output, any good suggestion for this? What else would you suggest? thanks!

  • Does anyone know of a vim plugin or script to convert special characters to their corresponding HTML

    - by Alan
I develop websites for corporate clients, so we see the ®, ™, etc. chars a whole lot. Sometimes I paste in huge blocks of copy, which might even contain pretty quotes (“ ”) or other strange characters from word processors. So, my question is this: Does anyone know of a vim plugin or script that can, in one fell swoop, convert all these characters to html entities? I think this covers all the bases of the entities it would be nice to have: http://web.forret.com/tools/charmap.asp So, for the characters above, they would be replaced with &reg;, &trade;, &ldquo;, &rdquo;, etc. I tried the htmlspecialchars vimball (http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=2377), but no dice. It only performs its replacement like the PHP htmlsepcialchars function, replacing html-conflicting characters, and doesn't cover any additional special characters.

  • CSS sticky footer makes scroll bar unscrollable in IE 8

    - by maraujop
I'm using this sticky footer in my website: http://www.cssstickyfooter.com/using-sticky-footer-code.html It is fully working in Firefox, Chrome, IE7, but not IE8. In IE8 the scrollbar appears but doesn't work, and I don't have any other way to move down. I'm using the conditional statement that appears in the web: <!--[if !IE 7]> <style type="text/css"> #wrap {display:table;height:100%} </style> <![endif]--> Sorry, but I can't post an address, I don't have a server online right now with the web.

  • Creating a virtual, data-driven section of a Wordpress-powered site

    - by lgomez
Hello all, I want to create a plugin for wordpress to automatically serve pages containing data pulled from a provider's API. The API returns one or more records containing data for that record and I simply want to have the plugin intercept the request, call the API with parameters pulled from the request URI and display the data using a template that I can either let them upload to the server or let them copy and paste into the plugins admin settings. For example, I may want one of my wordpress installations to show products pulled from such an API under the url "example.com/products". The plugin would catch that request, extract the variables from the URL, call the API and render the template with the returned results. I'd like to avoid requiring editing the .htaccess file like some caching plugins do. Some of the admins of these pages won't know how to do that or simply won't have access to the .htaccess file. Thanks!

  • FRIEND_TEST in Google Test - possible circular dependency?

    - by Mihaela
I am trying to figure out how FRIEND_TEST works in Google Tests. http://code.google.com/p/googletest/wiki/AdvancedGuide#Private_Class_Members I am looking at the following item, trying to implement it in my code: // foo.h #include "gtest/gtest_prod.h" // Defines FRIEND_TEST. class Foo { ... private: FRIEND_TEST(FooTest, BarReturnsZeroOnNull); int Bar(void* x); }; // foo_test.cc ... TEST(FooTest, BarReturnsZeroOnNull) { Foo foo; EXPECT_EQ(0, foo.Bar(NULL)); // Uses Foo's private member Bar(). } In the code above, the piece that I can't see, is that foo_test.cc must include foo.h, in order to have access to Foo and Bar(). [Perhaps it works differently for Google ? in my code, I must include it] That will result in circular dependency... Am I missing something ?

  • Is it easier to write filesystem drivers in userspace than in kernel space?

    - by Jack
I will use the Linux NTFS driver as an example. The Linux kernel NTFS driver only has very limited write support in the kernel, and after 5 years it is still considered experimental. The same development team creates the ntfsmount userspace driver, which has almost perfect write support. Likewise, the NTFS-3G project which is written by a different team also has almost perfect write support. Why has the kernel drive taken so much longer? Is it much harder to develop for? Saying that there already exists a decent userspace application is not a reason why the kernel driver is not compelte. NOTE: Do not migrate this to superuser.com. I want a programing heavy answer, from a programming perspective, not a practical use answer. If the question is not appropriate for SO, please advise me as to why so I can edit it so it is.

  • Trouble understanding Java map Entry sets

    - by Jake Sellers
I'm looking at a java hangman game here: https://github.com/leleah/EvilHangman/blob/master/EvilHangman.java The code in particular is this: Iterator<Entry<List<Integer>, Set<String>>> k = partitions.entrySet().iterator(); while (k.hasNext()) { Entry<?, ?> pair = (Entry<?, ?>)k.next(); int sizeOfSet = ((Set<String>)pair.getValue()).size(); if (sizeOfSet > biggestPartitionSize) { biggestPartitionSize = sizeOfSet; } } Now my question. My google foo is weak I guess, I cannot find much on Entry sets other than the java doc itself. Is is just a temporary copy of the map? And I cannot find any info at all on the syntax: Entry<?, ?> Can anyone explain or point me toward an explanation of what is going on with those question marks? Thanks in advanced.
