  • Extending MySQLi

    - by FRKT
    Hello, I've run into problems extending the MySQLi class. It won't let me add any properties. class MySQLii extends MySQLi { public $database; public function MySQLii($host, $username, $password, $database){ // Initialize MySQLi parent::MySQLi($host, $username, $password, $database); // Save database name $this->database = $database; } } $mysqlii = new MySQLii('localhost', 'root', 'password', 'database'); var_dump($mysqlii); object(MySQLii)#1 (17) { ["affected_rows"]= int(0) ["client_info"]= string(48) "mysqlnd 5.0.5-dev - 081106 - $Revision: 289630 $" ["client_version"]= int(50005) ["connect_errno"]= int(0) ["connect_error"]= NULL ["errno"]= int(0) ["error"]= string(0) "" ["field_count"]= int(0) ["host_info"]= string(42) "MySQL host info: Localhost via UNIX socket" ["info"]= NULL ["insert_id"]= int(0) ["server_info"]= string(6) "5.1.44" ["server_version"]= int(50144) ["sqlstate"]= string(5) "00000" ["protocol_version"]= int(10) ["thread_id"]= int(4019) ["warning_count"]= int(0) } Note the absence of the database property I added in the MySQLii constructor. Am I missing something?

  • Why the CLLocationManager delegate is not getting called in iPhone SDK 4.0 ???

    - by Biranchi
Hi, This is the code that I have in my AppDelegate Class - (BOOL)application:(UIApplication *)application didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:(NSDictionary *)launchOptions { CLLocationManager *locationManager = [[CLLocationManager alloc] init]; locationManager.delegate = self; locationManager.distanceFilter = 1000; // 1 Km locationManager.desiredAccuracy = kCLLocationAccuracyKilometer; [locationManager startUpdatingLocation]; } And this is the delegate method i have in my AppDelegate Class //This is the delegate method for CoreLocation - (void)locationManager:(CLLocationManager *)manager didUpdateToLocation:(CLLocation *)newLocation fromLocation:(CLLocation *)oldLocation { //printf("AppDelegate latitude %+.6f, longitude %+.6f\n", newLocation.coordinate.latitude, newLocation.coordinate.longitude); } Its working in 3.0, 3.1, 3.1.3 , but its not working in 4.0 simulator and device both. • Why does CLLocationManager returns null locations on the iphone SDK 4 beta in the Simulator?

    - by Rigo Vides
Hi everyone, I have this piece of code: - (void)locationManager:(CLLocationManager *)manager didUpdateToLocation:(CLLocation *)newLocation fromLocation:(CLLocation *)oldLocation { NSLog(@"Manager did update location!!"); self.currentLocation = newLocation.description; } I have this code inside a class that conforms to the CLLocationManagerDelegate. I tested earlier in sdk 3.0 and works nice (on both simulator and device). I'm testing this class on the SDK 4, in the simulator, but it gives null as a newLocation. I can't even get the NSLog for the first call. I checked other app where I use the location framework and it doesn't work either. I implemented the locationManager:didFailWithError: message also, wich is never called. Can anyone please confirm that the simulator can't do any CLLocationManager capabilities? (a link where the bug is reported as a known issue will be awesome). Is there a way to fix this? Thanks in advance.

  • Resgen al.exe generated resources do not work within .net library

    - by Raj G
Hi, I am currently working on a library in .Net and I planned to make the strings that are used within the library into culture specific resource files. I made Resources.resx, Resources.en-US.resx and Resources.ja-JP.resx file. I also deleted the Resources.designer.cs file autogenerated by visual studio 2008. I am loading Resources through my custom ResourceManager object [using GetString method]. The problem that I am facing is that when I compile the library within visual studio and set the culture from the calling application, everything is working fine. But if I manually go to the directory and change a string for a culture and regenerate the satellite assembly with resgen and al.exe, the string displayed, falls back to the invariant culture. I have attached the ildasm view of both the dlls en-US generated from within visual studio //Metadata version: v2.0.50727 .assembly extern mscorlib { .publickeytoken = (B7 7A 5C 56 19 34 E0 89 ) // .z\V.4.. .hash = (71 05 4D 54 C4 8D C2 90 7D 8B CF 57 2E B5 98 22 // q.MT....}..W..." • How can I define a clojure type that implements the servlet interface?

    - by Rob Lachlan
I'm attempting to use deftype (from the bleeding-edge clojure 1.2 branch) to create a java class that implements the java Servlet interface. I would expect the code below to compile (even though it's not very useful). (ns foo [:import [javax.servlet Servlet ServletRequest ServletResponse]]) (deftype servlet [] javax.servlet.Servlet (service [this #^javax.servlet.ServletRequest request #^javax.servlet.ServletResponse response] nil)) But it doesn't compile. The compiler produces the message: Mismatched return type: service, expected: void, had: java.lang.Object [Thrown class java.lang.IllegalArgumentException] Which doesn't make sense to me, because I'm returning nil. So the fact that the return type of the method is void shouldn't be a problem. For instance, for the java.util.Set interface: (deftype bar [#^Number n] java.util.Set (clear [this] nil)) compiles without issue. So what am I doing wrong with the Servlet interface? To be clear: I know that the typical case is to subclass one of the servlet abstract classes rather than implement this interface directly, but it should still be possible to do this. Stack Trace: The stack trace for the (deftype servlet... is: Mismatched return type: service, expected: void, had: java.lang.Object [Thrown class java.lang.IllegalArgumentException] Restarts: 0: [ABORT] Return to SLIME's top level. • pyglet and animated gif

    - by wtzolt
    Hello, I have a message box pop up when a certain operation is being executed sort of "wait..." window and I want to have a "loading" *.gif animation there to lighten up the mood :) Anyways I can't seem to figure out how to make this work. It's a complete mess. I tried calling through class but i get loads of errors to do with pyglet itself. class messageBox: def __init__(self, lbl_msg = 'Message here', dlg_title = ''): self.wTree = gtk.glade.XML('msgbox.glade') self.wTree.get_widget('label1').set_text(lbl_msg) self.wTree.get_widget('dialog1').set_title(dlg_title) ????sprite = pyglet.sprite.Sprite(pyglet.resource.animation("wait.gif")) ????self.wTree.get_widget('waitt').set_from_file(sprite) [email protected] ????def on_draw(): ???? win.clear() ???? sprite.draw() handlers = { 'on_okbutton1_clicked':self.gg } self.wTree.signal_autoconnect( handlers ) self.wTree.get_widget("dialog1").set_keep_above(True) def done(self): self.wTree.get_widget('dialog1').destroy() def gg(self,w): self.wTree.get_widget('dialog1').destroy() --------- @yieldsleep def popup(self, widget, data=None): self.msg = messageBox('Wait...','') ?what to call here? yield 500 print '1' yield 500 print '2' yield 500 print '3' self.msg.done() self.msg = messageBox('Done!   • 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'get' error using SQLAlchemy

    - by Az
I've been trying to map an object to a database using SQLAlchemy but have run into a snag. Version info if handy: [OS: Mac OSX 10.5.8 | Python: 2.6.4 | SQLAlchemy: 0.5.8] The class I'm going to map: class Student(object): def __init__(self, name, id): self.id = id self.name = name self.preferences = collections.defaultdict(set) self.allocated_project = None self.allocated_rank = 0 def __repr__(self): return str(self) def __str__(self): return "%s %s" %(self.id, self.name) Background: Now, I've got a function that reads in the necessary information from a text database into these objects. The function more or less works and I can easily access the information from the objects. Before the SQLAlchemy code runs, the function will read in the necessary info and store it into the Class. There is a dictionary called students which stores this as such: students = {} students[id] = Student(<all the info from the various "reader" functions>) Afterwards, there is an "allocation" algorithm that will allocate projects to student. It does that well enough. The allocated_project remains as None if a student is unsuccessful in getting a project. SQLAlchemy bit: So after all this happens, I'd like to map my object to a database table. Using the documentation, I've used the following code to only map certain bits. I also begin to create a Session. from sqlalchemy import * from sqlalchemy.orm import * engine = create_engine('sqlite:///:memory:', echo=False) metadata = MetaData() students_table = Table('studs', metadata, Column('id', Integer, primary_key=True), Column('name', String) ) metadata.create_all(engine) mapper(Student, students_table) Session = sessionmaker(bind=engine) sesh = Session() Now after that, I was curious to see if I could print out all the students from my students dictionary. for student in students.itervalues(): print student What do I get but an error: Traceback (most recent call last): File "~/FYP_Tests/FYP_Tests.py", line 140, in <module> print student File "/~FYP_Tests/Parties.py", line 30, in __str__ return "%s %s" %(self.id, self.name) File "/opt/local/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/lib/python2.6/site-packages/SQLAlchemy-0.5.8-py2.6.egg/sqlalchemy/orm/attributes.py", line 158, in __get__ return self.impl.get(instance_state(instance), instance_dict(instance)) AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'get' I'm at a loss as to how to resolve this issue, if it is an issue. If more information is required, please ask and I will provide it.

  • grails 1.3.1 Error executing script GenerateViews:

    - by mswallace
Here is the lay of the land. I have an app that I have created. I uninstalled hibernate, installed app-engine plugin and am using jdo. I am able to create a domain-class but the when I run generate-all I run into the following error. Oh and I did try just generating the controller for the domain class and that seemed to work fine but then after that I try just generate-views on the same domain class and I also get the following error. • Compile error with Nested Classes

    - by ProfK
I have metadata classes nested within entity classes, as I have always done, but suddenly, when I deploy to my target web site, and try and view a page, I get e.g. the following compile error: CS0102: The type 'PvmmsModel.ActivationResource' already contains a definition for 'ActivationResourceMetadata' My code for this type looks like below. There is only one definition of ActivationResourceMetadata: namespace PvmmsModel { [DisplayName("Activation Resources")] [DisplayColumn("Name")] [MetadataType(typeof(ActivationResourceMetadata))] public partial class ActivationResource { public class ActivationResourceMetadata { [ScaffoldColumn(false)] public object ResourceId { get; set; } [DisplayName("Cell Phone")] public object CellPhone { get; set; } [DisplayName("Shifts Worked or Planned")] public object ActivationShifts { get; set; } } } } This is on an ASP.NET WebSite project.

  • WPF: IEditableCollectionView and CanAddNew and empty collections

    - by Aran Mulholland
We were having some issues with the wpf datagrid and IEditableCollectionView (although this question applies to using IEditableCollectionView and ItemsControl) When you have a collection with no items in it, the IEditableCollectionView cannot determine what items should be inserted so it sets CanAddNew=false we found a solution here (buried deep in the comments) that goes like so : If you derive from ObservableCollection like this public class PersonsList : ObservableCollection<Person> { } you will find out that if the initial collection is empty, there won't be a NewItemPlaceHolder showing up on the view. That's because PersonsList cannot resolve type T at design time. A workaround that works for me is to pass type T as a parameter into the class like this PersonsList<T> : ObservableCollection<T> where T : Person { } This approach will place the NewItemPlaceHolder even if the collection is empty. I'm wondering if there is an interface i can implement on my collections that inform the IEditableCollectionView which type to create should i get an AddNew request.

  • Wpf datagrid row not updating when binded collection updated?

    - by RAJ K
I have product class class Products { public int ProductID { get; set; } public int Quantity { get; set; } public string Description { get; set; } public decimal Price { get; set; } public decimal SubTotal { get; set; } } public List<Products> ProductsList = new List<Products>(); I have binded this "ProductList" to wpf datagrid. This datagrid shows item already in collection (before DataGrid.DataContext applied) but not showing new item added. I am using List< instead of ObservableCollection< because I want to update items if user changes quantity. I don't know how to do that using ObservableCollection<. Some code will help thanks

  • Getting BeautifulSoup to find a specific <p>

    - by Ryan
I'm trying to put together a basic HTML scraper for a variety of scientific journal websites, specifically trying to get the abstract or introductory paragraph. The current journal I'm working on is Nature, and the article I've been using as my sample can be seen at http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v463/n7284/abs/nature08715.html. I can't get the abstract out of that page, however. I'm searching for everything between the <p class="lead">...</p> tags, but I can't seem to figure out how to isolate them. I thought it would be something simple like from BeautifulSoup import BeautifulSoup import re import urllib2 address="http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v463/n7284/full/nature08715.html" html = urllib2.urlopen(address).read() soup = BeautifulSoup(html) abstract = soup.find('p', attrs={'class' : 'lead'}) print abstract Using Python 2.5, BeautifulSoup 3.0.8, running this returns 'None'. I have no option of using anything else that needs to be compiled/installed (like lxml). Is BeautifulSoup confused, or am I?

  • GoogleAppEngine : possible to disable FileUpload?

Hi, When I deploy my application to GoogleAppEngine I keep getting the following error Uncaught exception from servlet java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: java.io.FileOutputStream is a restricted class. Is there a way to disable this functionality, or at least bypass this error? I have already provided implementation for a MultipartWrapperFactory.Class as that has been suggested from searching for this error Thanks

  • Need help understanding Generics, How To Abstract Types Question.

    - by kmacmahon
I could use some really good links that explain Generics and how to use them. But I also have a very specific question, relater to working on a current project. Given this class constructor: public class SecuredDomainViewModel<TDomainContext, TEntity> : DomainViewModel<TDomainContext, TEntity> where TDomainContext : DomainContext, new() where TEntity : Entity, new() public SecuredDomainViewModel(TDomainContext domainContext, ProtectedItem protectedItem) : base(domainContext) { this.protectedItem = protectedItem; } And its creation this way: DomainViewModel d; d = new SecuredDomainViewModel<MyContext, MyEntityType>(this.context, selectedProtectedItem); Assuming I have 20 different EntityTypes within MyContext, is there any easier way to call the constructor without a large switch statement? Also, since d is DomainViewModel and I later need to access methods from SecuredDomainViewModel, it seems I need to do this: if (((SecuredDomainViewModel<MyContext, MyEntityType>)d).CanEditEntity) But again "MyEntityType" could actually be one of 20 diffent types. Is there anyway to write these types of statements where MyEntityType is returned from some sort of Reflection?

  • RhinoMocks AAA Syntax

    - by Bill Campbell
Hi, I've spent a good part of the day trying to figure out why a simple RhinoMocks test doesn't return the value I'm setting in the return. I'm sure that I'm just missing something really simple but I can't figure it out. Here's my test: [TestMethod] public void CopyvRAFiles_ShouldCallCopyvRAFiles_ShouldReturnTrue2() { FileInfo fi = new FileInfo(@"c:\Myprogram.txt"); FileInfo[] myFileInfo = new FileInfo[2]; myFileInfo[0] = fi; myFileInfo[1] = fi; var mockSystemIO = MockRepository.GenerateMock<ISystemIO>(); mockSystemIO.Stub(x => x.GetFilesForCopy("c:")).Return(myFileInfo); mockSystemIO.Expect(y => y.FileCopyDateCheck(@"c:\Myprogram.txt", @"c:\Myprogram.txt")).Return("Test"); CopyFiles copy = new CopyFiles(mockSystemIO); List<string> retValue = copy.CopyvRAFiles("c:", "c:", new AdminWindowViewModel(vRASharedData)); mockSystemIO.VerifyAllExpectations(); } I have an interface for my SystemIO class I'm passing in a mock for that to my CopyFiles class. I'm setting an expectation on my FileCopyDatCheck method and saying that it should Return("Test"). When I step through the code, it returns a null insteaed. Any ideas what I'm missing here? Here's my CopyFiles class Method: public List<string> CopyvRAFiles(string currentDirectoryPath, string destPath, AdminWindowViewModel adminWindowViewModel) { string fileCopied; List<string> filesCopied = new List<string>(); try { sysIO.CreateDirectoryIfNotExist(destPath); FileInfo[] files = sysIO.GetFilesForCopy(currentDirectoryPath); if (files != null) { foreach (FileInfo file in files) { fileCopied = sysIO.FileCopyDateCheck(file.FullName, destPath + file.Name); filesCopied.Add(fileCopied); } } //adminWindowViewModel.CheckFilesThatRequireSystemUpdate(filesCopied); return filesCopied; } catch (Exception ex) { ExceptionPolicy.HandleException(ex, "vRAClientPolicy"); Console.WriteLine("{0} Exception caught.", ex); ShowErrorMessageDialog(ex); return null; } } I would think that "fileCopied" would have the Return value set by the Expect. The GetFilesForCopy returns the two files in myFileInfo. Please Help. :) thanks in advance!

  • Objective-C: how to prevent abstraction leaks

    - by iter
I gather that in Objective-C I must declare instance variables as part of the interface of my class even if these variables are implementation details and have private access. In "subjective" C, I can declare a variable in my .c file and it is not visible outside of that compilation unit. I can declare it in the corresponding .h file, and then anyone who links in that compilation unit can see the variable. I wonder if there is an equivalent choice in Objective-C, or if I must indeed declare every ivar in the .h for my class. Ari.

  • How can specific type details be filtered from Dia2Dump ?

    - by Usman
Hello, I need to filter details of specific Type(i.e Custom Type) . DIA2Dump blindly dump everything as type. I need to give it specific custom type as string and as result need all data members(i.e data section of that class). Is there any specific function available in DIA SDK for this. say I have Custom type MyClass and it has 4 variables as data members i.e DWORD data, DWORD location, BOOL MachineType and FLOAT Price. Now I should be able to pass MyClass as in parameter and it should output as data members(listed above as data,location...) of this class. How..?? Regards Regards Usman

  • ZPL II Extended Characters

    - by Mauro
I'm trying to print extended code page 850 characters using ZPL II to a Zebra S4M. Whenever one of the extended characters I.E. ASCII value 127 is used I get a box of varying shades of grey instead of the actual value. I'm trying to print ± and ° (ALT+0177 and ALT+0176). I suspect its the RawPrinterHelper I am trying to use (as downloaded from MS, and another from CodeProject) however I cant see where the character codes are going wrong. Weirdly, printing direct from Notepad renders the correct characters, which leads me to believe it is a problem with the raw printer helper class. I am not tied to using the Raw Printer Helper class so if there is a better way of doing it, I am more than happy to see them.
