  • error C2146: syntax error : missing ';' before identifier 'g_App'

    - by numerical25
    I wish c++, was a little more specific on the messages they give. The following error is being thrown in the document below main.h #ifndef main_h #define main_h //includes #include <windows.h> #include <commctrl.h> #include <d3d9.h> #include <fstream> #include "capplication.h" //constants #define TITLE "D3D Tut 01: Create Window" #define WINDOW_X 350 #define WINDOW_Y 320 //Button ID's #define ID_START 1 #define ID_CANCEL 2 //globals extern CApplication g_App; //function prototypes LRESULT CALLBACK WindowProcedure(HWND,UINT,WPARAM,LPARAM); #endif The only header file that could possible throw this error is the capplication.h. given below capplication.h #ifndef capplication_h #define capplication_h #include"main.h" class CApplication { public: CApplication(void); ~CApplication(void); void InitWindow(void); void SaveSettings(void); void LoadSettings(void); void KillWindow(void); inline bool GetWindowStatus(void) { return m_bRunningWindow; } inline HWND GetWindowHandle(void) { return m_hWindow; } inline void SetWindowStatus(bool bRunningWindow) { m_bRunningWindow = bRunningWindow; } private: bool m_bRunningWindow; HWND m_hWindow, m_hBtnStart, m_hBtnCancel, m_hLblResolution, m_hCbResolution, m_hLblBackBuffer, m_hCbBackBuffer, m_hLblDepthStencil, m_hCbDepthStencil, m_hLblVertexProcessing, m_hCbVertexProcessing, m_hLblMultiSampling, m_hCbMultiSampling, m_hLblAnisotropy, m_hCbAnisotropy; DWORD m_dwWidth, m_dwHeight, m_dwVertexProcessing, m_dwAnisotropy; D3DFORMAT m_ColorFormat, m_DepthStencilFormat; D3DMULTISAMPLE_TYPE m_MultiSampling; }; #endif Besides that, the only suspicious thing I see is fstream given in the first code. I did have it as fstream.h But VC++ was not recognizing it so I was told to remove the h and I did. now I am down to this error. and I have no clue what it could be. Possibly something obvious

  • Android: ProgressDialog doesn't show

    - by Select0r
    Hi, I'm trying to create a ProgressDialog for an Android-App (just a simple one showing the user that stuff is happening, no buttons or anything) but I can't get it right. I've been through forums and tutorials as well as the Sample-Code that comes with the SDK, but to no avail. This is what I got: btnSubmit.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { public void onClick(View view) { (...) ProgressDialog pd = new ProgressDialog(MyApp.this); pd.setProgressStyle(ProgressDialog.STYLE_HORIZONTAL); pd.setMessage("Working..."); pd.setIndeterminate(true); pd.setCancelable(false); // now fetch the results (...long time calculations here...) // remove progress dialog pd.dismiss(); I've also tried adding pd.show(); and messed around with the parameter in new ProgressDialog resulting in nothing at all (except errors that the chosen parameter won't work), meaning: the ProgressDialog won't ever show up. The app just keeps running as if I never added the dialog. I don't know if I'm creating the dialog at the right place, I moved it around a bit but that, too, didnt't help. Maybe I'm in the wrong context? The above code is inside private ViewGroup _createInputForm() in MyApp. Any hint is appreciated, Greetings, Select0r

  • .NET 3.5 DataGridView Wont Save To Database

    - by Jimbo
    I have created a test Winforms application in Visual Studio 2008 (SP1) to see just how "RAD" C# and .NET 3.5 can be. So far I have mixed emotions. Added a service-based database to my application (MyDB.mdf) and added two tables - Contact (id [identity], name [varchar] and number [varchar] columns) and Group (id [identity] and name [varchar] columns) Added a DataSource, selected "Database" as the source, used the default connection string as the connection (which points to my database) and selected "All Tables" to be included in the data source and saved as MyDBDataSet Expanded the data source showing my two tables, selected the "Group" table and chose to display it as a DataGridView (from the dropdown option on the right of each entity) and dragged it onto Form1, thus creating a groupBindingNavigator, groupBindingSource, groupTableAdapter, tableAdapterManager, myDBDataset and groupDataGridView Press F5 to test the application, enter the name "Test" under the DataGridView's "name" column and click "Save" on the navigator which has autogenerated code to save the data that looks like this: private void groupBindingNavigatorSaveItem_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { this.Validate(); this.groupBindingSource.EndEdit(); this.tableAdapterManager.UpdateAll(this.myDBDataSet); } Stop the application and have a look at the database data, you will see no data saved there in the "Group" table. I dont know why and cant find out how to fix it! Googled for about 30 minutes with no luck. The code is auto-generated with the controls, so you'd think that it would work too :)

  • deleting object with template for int and object

    - by Yokhen
    Alright so Say I have a class with all its definition, bla bla bla... template <class DT> class Foo{ private: DT* _data; //other stuff; public: Foo(DT* data){ _data = data } virtual ~Foo(){ delete _data } //other methods }; And then I have in the main method: int main(){ int number = 12; Foo<anyRandomClass>* noPrimitiveDataObject = new Foo<anyRandomClass>(new anyRandomClass()); Foo<int>* intObject = new Foo<int>(number); delete noPrimitiveDataObject; //Everything goes just fine. delete intObject; //It messes up here, I think because primitive data types such as int are allocated in a different way. return 0; } My question is: What could I do to have both delete statements in the main method work just fine? P.S.: Although I have not actually compiled/tested this specific code, I have reviewed it extensively (as well as indented. You're welcome.), so if you find a mistake, please be nice. Thank you.

  • Flex 3 - Image cache

    - by BS_C3
    Hello Community. I'm doing an Image Cache following this method: http://www.brandondement.com/blog/2009/08/18/creating-an-image-cache-with-actionscript-3/ I copied the two as classes, renaming them CachedImage and CachedImageMap. The thing is that I don't want to store the image after being loaded a first time, but while the application is being loaded. For that, I've created a function that is called by the application pre-initialize event. This is how it looks: private function loadImages():void { var im:CachedImage = new CachedImage; var sources:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection; for each(var cs in divisionData.division.collections.collection.collectionSelection) { sources.addItem(cs.toString()); } for each(var se in divisionData.division.collections.collection.searchEngine) { sources.addItem(se.toString()); } for each( var source:String in sources) { im.source = source; im.load(source); } } The sources are properly retrieved. However, even if I use the load method, I do not get the "complete" event... As if the image is not being loaded... How is that? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Regards, BS_C3

  • java : how to handle the design when template methods throw exception when overrided method not throw

    - by jiafu
    when coding. try to solve the puzzle: how to design the class/methods when InputStreamDigestComputor throw IOException? It seems we can't use this degisn structure due to the template method throw exception but overrided method not throw it. but if change the overrided method to throw it, will cause other subclass both throw it. So can any good suggestion for this case? abstract class DigestComputor{ String compute(DigestAlgorithm algorithm){ MessageDigest instance; try { instance = MessageDigest.getInstance(algorithm.toString()); updateMessageDigest(instance); return hex(instance.digest()); } catch (NoSuchAlgorithmException e) { LOG.error(e.getMessage(), e); throw new UnsupportedOperationException(e.getMessage(), e); } } abstract void updateMessageDigest(MessageDigest instance); } class ByteBufferDigestComputor extends DigestComputor{ private final ByteBuffer byteBuffer; public ByteBufferDigestComputor(ByteBuffer byteBuffer) { super(); this.byteBuffer = byteBuffer; } @Override void updateMessageDigest(MessageDigest instance) { instance.update(byteBuffer); } } class InputStreamDigestComputor extends DigestComputor{ // this place has error. due to exception. if I change the overrided method to throw it. evey caller will handle the exception. but @Override void updateMessageDigest(MessageDigest instance) { throw new IOException(); } }

  • Flex 4 Button state in a HGroup

    - by chchrist
    Hi all, I have a HGroup with some buttons inside which is my application's menu. <s:HGroup id="nav"> <s:Button id="homeButton" label="Home" /> <s:Button id="showroomButton" label="Showroom" /> <s:Button label="Catalogue" /> <s:Button label="Offers" /> <s:Button label="My Account" /> <s:Button label="My Orders" /> </s:HGroup> What I want is when I click for example the #homeButton to change it's state to "over", become disabled and reset all other buttons to the "up" state. I've written this function private function resetNavState():void { for(var i:int = 0,ii:int = nav.numChildren-1;i<ii;i++) { Button(nav.getChildAt(i)).mouseEnabled = true; Button(nav.getChildAt(i)).skin.setCurrentState("up",true); } } And then on the homeButton click handler for example i use protected function homeButton_clickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void { resetNavState(); currentState = "home"; homeButton.skin.setCurrentState("over",true); homeButton.mouseEnabled = false; } I resets the states of the #nav buttons but it doesn't change the state of the pressed button. Any ideas? Thanx in advance

  • What is the purpose of unit testing an interface repository

    - by ahsteele
    I am unit testing an ICustomerRepository interface used for retrieving objects of type Customer. As a unit test what value am I gaining by testing the ICustomerRepository in this manner? Under what conditions would the below test fail? For tests of this nature is it advisable to do tests that I know should fail? i.e. look for id 4 when I know I've only placed 5 in the repository I am probably missing something obvious but it seems the integration tests of the class that implements ICustomerRepository will be of more value. [TestClass] public class CustomerTests : TestClassBase { private Customer SetUpCustomerForRepository() { return new Customer() { CustId = 5, DifId = "55", CustLookupName = "The Dude", LoginList = new[] { new Login { LoginCustId = 5, LoginName = "tdude" }, new Login { LoginCustId = 5, LoginName = "tdude2" } } }; } [TestMethod] public void CanGetCustomerById() { // arrange var customer = SetUpCustomerForRepository(); var repository = Stub<ICustomerRepository>(); // act repository.Stub(rep => rep.GetById(5)).Return(customer); // assert Assert.AreEqual(customer, repository.GetById(5)); } } Test Base Class public class TestClassBase { protected T Stub<T>() where T : class { return MockRepository.GenerateStub<T>(); } } ICustomerRepository and IRepository public interface ICustomerRepository : IRepository<Customer> { IList<Customer> FindCustomers(string q); Customer GetCustomerByDifID(string difId); Customer GetCustomerByLogin(string loginName); } public interface IRepository<T> { void Save(T entity); void Save(List<T> entity); bool Save(T entity, out string message); void Delete(T entity); T GetById(int id); ICollection<T> FindAll(); }

  • XmlSerializer 'forgetting' my namespace

    - by Michel
    Hi, i have to create an XML file with all the elements prefixed, like this: <ps:Request num="123" xmlns:ps="www.ladieda.com"> <ps:ClientId>5566</ps:ClientId> <ps:Request> When i serialize my object, c# is smart and does this: <Request num="123" xmlns="www.ladieda.com"> <ClientId>5566</ClientId> <Request> That is good, because the ps: is not necessary. But is there a way to force C# to serialize all the prefixes? My serialize code is this (for incoming object pObject): String XmlizedString = null; MemoryStream memoryStream = new MemoryStream(); XmlSerializer xs = new XmlSerializer(pObject.GetType()); XmlTextWriter xmlTextWriter = new XmlTextWriter(memoryStream, Encoding.UTF8); xs.Serialize(xmlTextWriter, pObject); memoryStream = (MemoryStream)xmlTextWriter.BaseStream; XmlizedString = UTF8ByteArrayToString(memoryStream.ToArray()); return XmlizedString; private String UTF8ByteArrayToString(Byte[] characters) { UTF8Encoding encoding = new UTF8Encoding(); String constructedString = encoding.GetString(characters); return (constructedString); }

  • Spring MVC 3.0 Rest problem

    - by Gidogeek
    Hi Guys, I'm trying out Spring MVC 3.0 for the first time and like to make it RESTfull. This is my controller: @Controller @RequestMapping(value = "/product") @SessionAttributes("product") public class ProductController { @Autowired private ProductService productService; public void setProductValidator(ProductValidator productValidator, ProductService productService) { this.productService = productService; } @RequestMapping(method = RequestMethod.GET) public Product create() { //model.addAttribute(new Product()); return new Product(); } @RequestMapping(method = RequestMethod.POST) public String create(@Valid Product product, BindingResult result) { if (result.hasErrors()) { return "product/create"; } productService.add(product); return "redirect:/product/show/" + product.getId(); } @RequestMapping(value = "/show/{id}", method = RequestMethod.GET) public Product show(@PathVariable int id) { Product product = productService.getProductWithID(id); if (product == null) { //throw new ResourceNotFoundException(id); } return product; } @RequestMapping(method = RequestMethod.GET) public List<Product> list() { return productService.getProducts(); } } I have 2 questions about this. I'm a believer in Convention over Configuration and therefor my views are in jsp/product/ folder and are called create.jsp , list.jsp and show.jsp this works relatively well until I add the @PathVariable attribute. When I hit root/product/show/1 I get the following error: ../jsp/product/show/1.jsp" not found how do I tell this method to use the show.jsp view ? If I don't add the RequestMapping on class level my show method will be mapped to root/show instead of root/owner/show how do I solve this ? I'd like to avoid using the class level RequestMapping.

  • Managed C++ or C# .NET, Downloading from rapidshare?

    - by cruisx
    I am trying to download a file from rapidshare via C++ .NET but I'm having a bit of trouble. The address used to be "https://ssl.rapidshare.com/cgi-bin/premiumzone.cgi" but that no longer works, does anyone know what the new one is? The code works but the file size is always 1KB, I don't think its connecting to the right server. private: void downloadFileAsync(String^ fileUrl) { String^ uriString; //fileUrl = "http://rapidshare.com/files/356458319/Keeping.Up.with.the.Kardashians.S04E10.Delivering.Baby.Mason.HDTV.XviD-MOMENTUM.rar"; uriString = "https://ssl.rapidshare.com/premzone.html";//"https://ssl.rapidshare.com"; NameValueCollection^ postvals = gcnew NameValueCollection(); postvals->Add("login", "bob"); postvals->Add("password", "12345"); // postvals->Add("uselandingpage", "1"); WebClient^ myWebClient = gcnew WebClient(); array<unsigned char>^ responseArray = gcnew array<unsigned char>(10024); responseArray = myWebClient->UploadValues(uriString, "POST", postvals); StreamReader^ strRdr = gcnew StreamReader(gcnew MemoryStream(responseArray)); String^ cookiestr = myWebClient->ResponseHeaders->Get("Set-Cookie"); myWebClient->Headers->Add("Cookie", cookiestr); //myWebClient->DownloadFileCompleted += gcnew AsyncCompletedEventHandler(myWebClient->DownloadFileCompleted); myWebClient-DownloadFileAsync(gcnew Uri(fileUrl),"C:\rapid\"+Path::GetFileName(fileUrl)); }

  • how to share a variable between two threads

    - by prmatta
    I just inherited some code, two threads within this code need to perform a system task. One thread should do the system task before the other thread. They should not be performing the system task together. The two threads do not have references to each other. Now, I know I can use some sort of a semaphore to achieve this. But my question is what is the right way to get both threads to access this semaphore. I could create a static variable/method a new class : public class SharedSemaphore { private static Semaphore s = new Semaphore (1, true); public static void performSystemTask () { s.acquire(); } public static void donePerformingSystemTask() { s.release(); } } This would work (right?) but this doesn't seem like the right thing to do. Because, the threads now have access to a semaphore, without ever having a reference to it. This sort of thing doesn't seem like a good programming practice. Am I wrong?

  • asp.net Can I force every page to inherit from a base page? Also should some of this logic be in my master page?

    - by Bex
    Hi! I have a web app that has a base page. Each page needs to inherit from this base page as it contains properties they all need as well as dealing with the login rights. My base page has some properties, eg: IsRole1, IsRole2, currentUserID, Role1Allowed, Role2Allowed. On the init of each page I set the properties "Role1Allowed" and "Role2Allowed" Private Sub Page_Init(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Init Role1Allowed = True Role2Allowed= False End Sub The basepage then decides if the user needs redirecting. 'Sample code so not exactly what is going to be, bug gives the idea Protected Overridable Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) If Role1Allowed And Not Role1 Then 'Redirect somewhere End If End Sub The page then must override this pageload if they need anything else in it, but making sure they call the base pageload first. Protected Overrides Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load MyBase.Page_Load(sender, e) If Not IsPostBack Then BindGrid() End If End Sub The other properties (IsRole1, IsRole, currentUserID) are also accessible by the page so it can be decided if certain things need doing based on the user. (I hope this makes sense) Ok so I have 2 questions Should this functionality be in the base page or should it somehow be in the master, and if so how would I get access to all the properties if it was? As there are multiple people working on this project and creating pages some are forgetting to inherit from this basepage, or call the base pageload when overriding it. Is there any way to force them to do this? Thanks for any help. bex

  • How SQLite on Android handles long strings?

    - by Levara
    I'm wondering how Android's implementation of SQLite handles long Strings. Reading from online documentation on sqlite, it said that strings in sqlite are limited to 1 million characters. My strings are definitely smaller. I'm creating a simple RSS application, and after parsing a html document, and extracting text, I'm having problem saving it to a database. I have 2 tables in database, feeds and articles. RSS feeds are correctly saved and retrieved from feeds table, but when saving to the articles table, logcat is saying that it cannot save extracted text to it's column. I don't know if other columns are making problems too, no mention of them in logcat. I'm wondering, since text is from an article on web, are signs like (",',;) creating problems? Is Android automaticaly escaping them, or I have to do that. I'm using a technique for inserting similar to one in notepad tutorial: public long insertArticle(long feedid, String title, String link, String description, String h1,tring h2, String h3, String p, String image, long date) { ContentValues initialValues = new ContentValues(); initialValues.put(KEY_FEEDID, feedid); initialValues.put(KEY_TITLE, title); initialValues.put(KEY_LINK, link); initialValues.put(KEY_DESCRIPTION, description ); initialValues.put(KEY_H1, h1 ); initialValues.put(KEY_H2, h2); initialValues.put(KEY_H3, h3); initialValues.put(KEY_P, p); initialValues.put(KEY_IMAGE, image); initialValues.put(KEY_DATE, date); return mDb.insert(DATABASE_TABLE_ARTICLES,null, initialValues); } Column P is for extracted text, h1, h2 and h3 are for headers from a page. Logcat reports only column p to be the problem. The table is created with following statement: private static final String DATABASE_CREATE_ARTICLES = "create table articles( _id integer primary key autoincrement, feedid integer, title text, link text not null, description text," + "h1 text, h2 text, h3 text, p text, image text, date integer);";

  • YQL + PHP : how to make a facebook login

    - by Jonathan
    Hi! I was reading some stuff about the YQL api that Yahoo! has provided, I am not sure, but it appears to be a collection of lots of third party api into one common language, right? what I don't get is how to make the facebook login through it so I can get the user profile data... My project is to add a facebook(and other social networks) form login, because the website won't have his own login, people will have to use a social network to link in. Then I thought the YQL would help me out with this task so I wouldn't have to develop lots of functions to each one of the networks. Reading this http://developer.yahoo.com/yql/guide/yql-code-examples.html#sdk_yql, I understood how to make a Yahoo login so I can access some private data, but couldn't find how I could do it with facebook and others So my question... Can YQL help me with this? Can you give me a simple example of a facebook session using it within PHP? Are there alternatives to aid me in this task? thanks, Jonathan

  • Weird stuttering issues not related to GC.

    - by Smills
    I am getting some odd stuttering issues with my game even though my FPS never seems to drop below 30. About every 5 seconds my game stutters. I was originally getting stuttering every 1-2 seconds due to my garbage collection issues, but I have sorted those and will often go 15-20 seconds without a garbage collection. Despite this, my game still stutters periodically even when there is no GC listed in logcat anywhere near the stutter. Even when I take out most of my code and simply make my "physics" code the below code I get this weird slowdown issue. I feel that I am missing something or overlooking something. Shouldn't that "elapsed" code that I put in stop any variance in the speed of the main character related to changes in FPS? Any input/theories would be awesome. Physics: private void updatePhysics() { //get current time long now = System.currentTimeMillis(); //added this to see if I could speed it up, it made no difference Thread myThread = Thread.currentThread(); myThread.setPriority(Thread.MAX_PRIORITY); //work out elapsed time since last frame in seconds double elapsed = (now - mLastTime2) / 1000.0; mLastTime2 = now; //measures FPS and displays in logcat once every 30 frames fps+=1/elapsed; fpscount+=1; if (fpscount==30) { fps=fps/fpscount; Log.i("myActivity","FPS: "+fps+" Touch: "+touch); fpscount=0; } //this should make the main character (theoretically) move upwards at a steady pace mY-=100*elapsed; //increase amount I translate the draw to = main characters Y //location if the main character goes upwards if (mY<=viewY) { viewY=mY; } }

Node(double, double, std::vector<double>&) throw (WrongBoundsException); ... }; #endif // InternalNode.h #ifndef INTERNALNODE_H #define INTERNALNODE_H #include <vector> #include "Node.h" class InternalNode : public Node { public: // the position of the leftmost child (child left) int left_child; // the position of the parent int parent; InternalNode(double, double, std::vector<double>&, int parent, int left_child) throw (WrongBoundsException); private: int abcd; }; #endif // InternalNode.cpp #include "InternalNode.h" #define UNDEFINED_CHILD -1 #define ROOT -1 // Here is the problem InternalNode::InternalNode(double a, double b, std::vector<double> &v, int par, int lc) throw (WrongBoundsException) : Node(a, b, v), parent(par), left_child(lc) { std::cout << par << std::endl; } I get: $ g++ InternalNode.cpp InternalNode.cpp:16: error: declaration of ‘InternalNode::InternalNode(double, double, std::vector &, int, int) throw (WrongBoundsException)’ throws different exceptions InternalNode.h:17: error: from previous declaration ‘InternalNode::InternalNode(double, double, std::vector &, int, int)’ UPDATE 0: Fixed missing : UPDATE 1: Fixed throw exception

  • Foreign key relationships in Entity Framework

    - by Anders Svensson
    I'm trying to add an object created from Entity Data Model classes. I have a table called Users, which has turned into a User EDM class. And I also have a table Pages, which has become a Page EDM class. These tables have a foreign key relationship, so that each page is associated with many users. Now I want to be able to add a page, but I can't get how to do it. I get a nullreference exception on Users below. I'm still rather confused by all this, so I'm sure it's a simple error, but I just can't see how to do it. Also, by the way, the compiler requires that I set PageID in the object initializer, even though this field is set to be an automatic id in the table. Am I doing it right just setting it to 0, expecting it to be updated automatically in the table when saved, or how should I do that? Any help appreciated! The method in question: private Page GetPage(User currentUser) { string url = _request.ServerVariables["url"].ToLower(); var userPages = from p in _context.PageSet where p.Users.UserID == currentUser.UserID select p; var existingPage = userPages.FirstOrDefault(e => e.Url == url); //Could be combined with above, but hard to read? if (existingPage != null) return existingPage; Page page = new Page() { Count = 0, Url = _request.ServerVariables["url"].ToLower(), PageID = 0, //Only initial value, changed later? }; _context.AddToPageSet(page); page.Users.UserID = currentUser.UserID; //Here's the problem... return page; }

    I just find this error when I retrieve all my records on twig page from the database through doctrine here is my twig code : {% extends "gestionConferenceApplicationBundle::layout.html.twig" %} {% block title "Hello " ~ name %} {% block content %} je suis un debutant <table border=2 > <th>Numéro</th> <th>Titre</th> <th>Ville</th> <th>Lieu</th> <th>Date de début</th> <th>Date de fin</th> {% for item in conferences %} <tr> <td>{{ item.id }}</td> <td>{{ item.titre }}</td> <td>{{ item.ville }}</td> <td>{{ item.lieu }}</td>* <td>{{ item.dateDebut }}</td> <td>{{ item.dateFin }}</td> </tr> {% endfor %} </table> {% endblock %} the error in the date : here it is : An exception has been thrown during the rendering of a template ("Catchable Fatal Error: Object of class DateTime could not be converted to string in C:\wamp\www\Symfony\app\cache\dev\twig\3c\dd\40a703549de9b8769fa40b82230e.php line 72") in gestionConferenceApplicationBundle:acceuil:acceuil.html.twig at line 19. do you have any idea how to convert this date or any other things in the MySql I have dateTime field and in doctrine I have : /** * @var \DateTime $dateDebut * * @ORM\Column(name="date_debut", type="datetime", nullable=false) */ private $dateDebut;

  • Invoke Command When "ENTER" Key Is Pressed In XAML

    - by bitxwise
    I want to invoke a command when ENTER is pressed in a TextBox. Consider the following XAML: <UserControl ... xmlns:i="clr-namespace:System.Windows.Interactivity;assembly=System.Windows.Interactivity" ...> ... <TextBox> <i:Interaction.Triggers> <i:EventTrigger EventName="KeyUp"> <i:InvokeCommandAction Command="{Binding MyCommand}" CommandParameter="{Binding Text}" /> </i:EventTrigger> </i:Interaction.Triggers> </TextBox> ... </UserControl> and that MyCommand is as follows: public ICommand MyCommand { get { return new DelegateCommand<string>(MyCommandExecute); } } private void MyCommandExecute(string s) { ... } With the above, my command is invoked for every key press. How can I restrict the command to only invoke when the ENTER key is pressed? I understand that with Expression Blend I can use Conditions but those seem to be restricted to elements and can't consider event arguments. I have also come across SLEX which offers its own InvokeCommandAction implementation that is built on top of the Systems.Windows.Interactivity implementation and can do what I need. Another consideration is to write my own trigger, but I'm hoping there's a way to do it without using external toolkits.

  • Implementing a bitfield using java enums

    - by soappatrol
    Hello, I maintain a large document archive and I often use bit fields to record the status of my documents during processing or when validating them. My legacy code simply uses static int constants such as: static int DOCUMENT_STATUS_NO_STATE = 0 static int DOCUMENT_STATUS_OK = 1 static int DOCUMENT_STATUS_NO_TIF_FILE = 2 static int DOCUMENT_STATUS_NO_PDF_FILE = 4 This makes it pretty easy to indicate the state a document is in, by setting the appropriate flags. For example: status = DOCUMENT_STATUS_NO_TIF_FILE | DOCUMENT_STATUS_NO_PDF_FILE; Since the approach of using static constants is bad practice and because I would like to improve the code, I was looking to use Enums to achieve the same. There are a few requirements, one of them being the need to save the status into a database as a numeric type. So there is a need to transform the enumeration constants to a numeric value. Below is my first approach and I wonder if this is the correct way to go about this? class DocumentStatus{ public enum StatusFlag { DOCUMENT_STATUS_NOT_DEFINED(1<<0), DOCUMENT_STATUS_OK(1<<1), DOCUMENT_STATUS_MISSING_TID_DIR(1<<2), DOCUMENT_STATUS_MISSING_TIF_FILE(1<<3), DOCUMENT_STATUS_MISSING_PDF_FILE(1<<4), DOCUMENT_STATUS_MISSING_OCR_FILE(1<<5), DOCUMENT_STATUS_PAGE_COUNT_TIF(1<<6), DOCUMENT_STATUS_PAGE_COUNT_PDF(1<<7), DOCUMENT_STATUS_UNAVAILABLE(1<<8), private final long statusFlagValue; StatusFlag(long statusFlagValue) { this.statusFlagValue = statusFlagValue } public long getStatusFlagValue(){ return statusFlagValue } } /** * Translates a numeric status code into a Set of StatusFlag enums * @param numeric statusValue * @return EnumSet representing a documents status */ public EnumSet<StatusFlag> getStatusFlags(long statusValue) { EnumSet statusFlags = EnumSet.noneOf(StatusFlag.class) StatusFlag.each { statusFlag -> long flagValue = statusFlag.statusFlagValue if ( (flagValue&statusValue ) == flagValue ) { statusFlags.add(statusFlag) } } return statusFlags } /** * Translates a set of StatusFlag enums into a numeric status code * @param Set if statusFlags * @return numeric representation of the document status */ public long getStatusValue(Set<StatusFlag> flags) { long value=0 flags.each { statusFlag -> value|=statusFlag.getStatusFlagValue() } return value } public static void main(String[] args) { DocumentStatus ds = new DocumentStatus(); Set statusFlags = EnumSet.of( StatusFlag.DOCUMENT_STATUS_OK, StatusFlag.DOCUMENT_STATUS_UNAVAILABLE) assert ds.getStatusValue( statusFlags )==258 // 0000.0001|0000.0010 long numericStatusCode = 56 statusFlags = ds.getStatusFlags(numericStatusCode) assert !statusFlags.contains(StatusFlag.DOCUMENT_STATUS_OK) assert statusFlags.contains(StatusFlag.DOCUMENT_STATUS_MISSING_TIF_FILE) assert statusFlags.contains(StatusFlag.DOCUMENT_STATUS_MISSING_PDF_FILE) assert statusFlags.contains(StatusFlag.DOCUMENT_STATUS_MISSING_OCR_FILE) } }
