How do I now access my site for an installation

I have just rented a virtual private server with DirectAdmin. I have an ip address, lets say its: 178.239.60.18 Now I have made a new domain on the server. It resides in a folder called: example.

Now when I would like to acces this in a browser, I type in 178.239.60.18/example or 178.239.60.18:example But this does not work. What am I doing wrong?

When I look at the DNS record it does say the the ip address for example is 178.239.60.18
