An Error While Installing GimPhoto

I just downloaded Gimphoto from their web site (gimphoto_1.4.3-1_i386.deb package) but while installing it says

"An unhandlable error occured - here seems to be a programming error in aptdaemon, the software that allows you to install/remove software and to perform other package management related tasks. Please report this error at http://launchpad.net/aptdaemon/+filebug and retry."

What can I do to solve this problem ?? Please help !
