Can I give my app my own ads? (iOS/Android)

I want to know if I can develop my app on iOS and Android (no matter how, that's another thread) and give them my own ads, not the ones provided by them. This way I make the deals with customers directly. Implementation does not seem to be hard.

The hard question is: will I get approved on the stores? It would be a free app with 3rd-party-ads

Thanks!

PS: I know I can distribute APKs out of the GPlay, but I don't want to do this.

PS2: bonus points for WP/BB info, but not critical
