  • Does WF4 have the ability to search for instances?

    Hello, I have a WF4 workflow service deployed in AppFabric. Is there any built-in way to do a generic search across all currently active workflow instances? For example, "get me a list of all active instances that have variable x = 5"? If someone could point me in the right direction on this it would be much appreciated.

  • Drawing RAW buffer to CGBitmapContext

    Hi all, I have a raw image buffer in the RGB format. I need to draw it to CGContext so that I get a new buffer of the format ARGB. I accomplish this in the following way: Create a data provider out of raw buffer using CGDataProviderCreateWithData and then create image out of the data provider with the api: CGImageCreate. Now if I write this image back to the CGBitmapContext using CGContextImageDraw. Instead of creating an intermediate image, is there any way of writing the buffer directly to CGContext so that I can avoid the image creation phase? Thanks

  • How to determine the Window size in IE for a window to be opened from the COM API?

    I'm using the IE control embedded in an application. Works as advertised. When a user opens a new browser window I intercept the NewWindow2 event and force it into a new tab. However for a certain class of windows I want to allow a popup. Most notably a few windows legacy applications that use popup windows instead of Ajax for Date or Name pickers. How can I figure out that a window was requested by JavaScript window.open(...) or with a specific size? Thx for helping.

    Hi guys, I´m having a problem trying to play a flashMovie(swf file)... Here is my code: <object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" .....> <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" /> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="false" /> <param name="movie" value="nyauto_pageflip4.swf" /> <param name="quality" value="high" /> <param name="play" value="true"/> <param name="wmode" value="transparent" /> <embed swLiveConnect="true" src="file.swf" quality="high" name="flash_flip" id="flash_flip" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" /> Then, I have a javascript function with the play line: $('flash_flip').Play(); I have jQuery, but I already tryed with document.GetElementById =) So, when this line executes, the flash movie plays. This works in FF and Chrome, but not in ie8... Is there any way to fix that? Thanks!

  • How to cancel a web service call if it's not responding

    Hi, I have a web page (.aspx) that calls a third party web service to get some data. It usually takes couple of seconds to get the response back, and then the rest of the page will load. Occasionally the call gets stuck either due to the web service is down, or internet connection, etc., the page just hang there and will not load. My questions is: 1) Is there a way to abort/cancel the web service call after a set amount of time? 2) Is it even possible to verify the status of the web service before calling it? Thanks.

    I'm familiar with php's function bin2hex() for converting binary data to its hexadecimal representation. However, what is the complement function to convert the hexadecimal representation of the data back to binary data? For example: $foo = "hello"; $foo = bin2hex($foo); echo $foo; // Displays 68656c6c6f How do I turn it back to hello? $foo = "68656c6c6f"; // Now what? There is no hex2bin() function.

  • sql server deadlock issue on a single table..................

    I have one table let's say "xxx "in sql server 2000 . One .exe is inserting data into that table "xxx" through sql job. But once data is inserted , one stored procedure is reading the data from that "xxx table "and inserting/updating into other two tables and updating back the status into the same "xxx" table. Now, client says that multiple deadlocks are occuring on that "xxx" table . please kindly anyone sdvice me the resolution steps to be taken to resolve this deadlock issue and how to identify it step by step.............     In Microsoft Windows, this works: mnu := GetSystemMenu(h, false); EnableMenuItem(mnu, SC_CLOSE, MF_BYCOMMAND or MF_GRAYED); But this does not work: mnu := GetSystemMenu(h, false); EnableMenuItem(mnu, SC_MOVE, MF_BYCOMMAND or MF_GRAYED); Hence I know how to disable the "Close" system menu item of a window, but not the "Move" item. How do I do that? Update Of course one alternative to using the very nice function EnableMenuItem, is to use SetMenuItemInfo: FillChar(info, sizeOf(info), 0); with info do begin cbSize := sizeOf(info); fMask := MIIM_STATE; fState := MFS_GRAYED; end; SetMenuItemInfo(mnu, SC_MOVE, false, info); But this again works perfectly for SC_CLOSE, but not at all for SC_MOVE!

  • How do you determine an acceptable response time for App Engine DB requests?

    According to this discussion of Google App Engine on Hacker News, A DB (read) request takes over 100ms on the datastore. That's insane and unusable for about 90% of applications. How do you determine what is an acceptable response time for a DB read request? I have been using App Engine without noticing any issues with DB responsiveness. But, on the other hand, I'm not sure I would even know what to look for in that regard :)

  • How can I debug why this click handler never fires?

    I am going to be excrutiatingly detailed here. I am using Firefox 3.6.3 on Max OSX with Firebug 1.5.3. I have two versions of a project, one which works and one with a bug. One I downloaded and one I typed by hand. Take a guess which one doesn't work. They should be the same except that mine uses a newer version of jQuery and the files are named differently. jQuery version is not the issue. I made mine use the older jquery and I made the working one use the newer jquery. Either way, mine still broke and the downloaded one still works. I've busted my eyes trying to see how these projects are different. The only thing I don't want to do is copy the working code to the busted code because I need to be able to figure this stuff out when it is my own unique code causing similar issues. There are no errors that I can see in Firebug in my code, in fact, 2/3 of it works just fine. just the second button does nothing. So I wanted to step through. These are always eyeball errors and I really suck at seeing them. I put it on a public server. http://colleenweb.com/jqtests/ex71.html And I want to debug ex71.js If you firebug the working one and set a break point at line 13 in ex71.js the variable json has the expected values when you click on the second button. But If you firebug this one, it never gets there. I've been over the html and all the names of everything seem to match up. I also wonder why the buttons aren't right justified but that's a css thing. Please tell me what I'm missing, and more importantly, what tool/technique I could use to find these types of bugs.

  • VMware Workstation on Linux: Dropping core files in a shared folder...

    I'm using VMware 6.0.2 on a RHEL 4.6 host. The VMs are MontaVista CGE 5.0 (2.6.21 kernel). I'm trying to get applications running in the VMs to drop any core files on a HGFS volume, i.e. in a "shared folder". The core files get created as per the path and format given in /proc/sys/kernel/core_pattern, but they are always zero length. If I change the path to a local path (on a virtual disk in the VM), all is well. Any ideas what I have to do get the core files written into a shared folder? Thanks for your help!

  • Oracle 10.2.0.1 --> 10.2.0.4 patchset errors on Advanced Queuing tables. Serious or not?

    We're running Oracle on RHEL 5.4 64-bit. We recently did an upgrade from 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.4. Many errors were generated during the upgrade (sample listed below from trace.log) but during application testing afterward everything seemed fine (clean EXP, inserts, updates, deletes, etc.). The errors look like they are all related to Advanced Queuing tables and views. We are not using replication at all, this is a simple single instance db. ORA-24002: QUEUE_TABLE SYS.AQ_EVENT_TABLE does not exist ORA-24032: object AQ$_AQ_SRVNTFN_TABLE_T exists, index could not be created ORA-24032: object AQ$_ALERT_QT_S exists, index could not be created for queue ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_AQADM_SYSCALLS", line 117 ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_AQADM_SYS", line 5116 Is this worth worrying about, and if so, how do I go about cleaning up/recreating the corrupted and/or missing objects?
