  • What is the equivalent of memset in C#?

    - by Jedidja
I need to fill a byte[] with a single non-zero value. How can I do this in C# without looping through each byte in the array? Update: The comments seem to have split this into two questions - Is there a Framework method to fill a byte[] that might be akin to memset What is the most efficient way to do it when we are dealing with a very large array? I totally agree that using a simple loop works just fine, as Eric and others have pointed out. The point of the question was to see if I could learn something new about C# :) I think Juliet's method for a Parallel operation should be even faster than a simple loop. Benchmarks: Thanks to Mikael Svenson: http://techmikael.blogspot.com/2009/12/filling-array-with-default-value.html It turns out the simple for loop is the way to go unless you want to use unsafe code. Apologies for not being clearer in my original post. Eric and Mark are both correct in their comments; need to have more focused questions for sure. Thanks for everyone's suggestions and responses.

  • Problem with LINQ Where Clause

    - by Krishma
var results = from formNumber in context.DetailTM join c in context.ClaimPeriodTM on formNumber.ClaimPeriod equals c.Cid where formNumber.FormNumber.StartsWith(fNumber) && formNumber.RegistrationNumber != registrationNumber select new { RegNo = formNumber.RegistrationNumber, CP = c.ClaimPeriod, FormNo = formNumber.FormNumber }; The AND CLAUSE with .STARTSWITH Doesn't work. If I use == operator the query works fine. I tried adding brackets to the where clause but it didn't help. Any idea what is missing. Thank you in Advance.

  • Install .NET 3.5 SP1 on Windows 7 RC

    - by James Alexander
While attempting to install .NET 3.5 SP1 on a fresh install of Windows 7 RC, nothing happens. The machine gives a UAC prompt. When selecting Yes, nothing happens. Using the full redistributable package gives the same result: nothing. Is there a reason why the .NET 3.5 SP1 installer would suddenly quit and not proceed with installation?

  • Apache reverse-proxy intermittent error 113 - No route to host

    - by BonkaBonka
I've got an Apache 2.0.52 server on CentOS 4 that front-ends a couple of App servers (mix of Jetty and Tomcat). Apache has a handful of virtual hosts configured like this: <VirtualHost www1.example.com:443> ServerName www1.example.com DocumentRoot "/mnt/app_web/html" SSLEngine on SSLCipherSuite ALL:!ADH:!EXPORT56:RC4+RSA:+HIGH:+MEDIUM:+LOW:+SSLv2:+EXP SSLCertificateFile /etc/httpd/conf/ssl.crt/server.crt SSLCertificateChainFile /etc/httpd/conf/ssl.crt/chain.crt SSLCertificateKeyFile /etc/httpd/conf/ssl.key/server.key SetEnvIf User-Agent ".*MSIE.*" nokeepalive ssl-unclean-shutdown downgrade-1.0 force-response-1.0 RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^/app1/(.*)$ http://app1.example.com:8080/app1/$1 [P,L] RewriteRule ^/app2/(.*)$ http://app2.example.com:8080/app2/$1 [P,L] </VirtualHost> However, I'm getting the following errors in the logs intermittently: [Fri Dec 04 07:19:41 2009] [error] (113)No route to host: proxy: HTTP: attempt to connect to 10.0.0.1:8080 (app1.example.com) failed I initially tried turning off IPv6, and that seemed to largely cure it, but I still have sporadic bursts of these messages. Additionally, we're running memcache on same front-end and during the times when I'm getting those messages in Apache's log, the following command doesn't work: echo stats | nc 127.0.0.1 11211 No messages are printed, but neither are the stats printed. I am completely lost as to how to proceed with troubleshooting this. =(

  • What is the default mount point on Linux systems (all)?

    - by Vijay Sharma
My question is very basic in nature. Is the mount point for external media (like USB) always /media? Because in a Debian system, if I plug in any USB device that goes to the /media folder. So is it the case with all the other Linux flavors like Fedora, Ubuntu, etc. If a USB device is automatically mounted will it always go to the /media directory?

  • Ubuntu Nvidia Xorg Twinview doesnt like my monitors

    - by Andrew Bolster
Basically, using the latest available ubuntu drivers (195.36.15) I cannot for the life of me get my two monitors to operate at suitable resolutions. When not using the drivers atall and going single-screen, both monitors support 1680x1050, but this option is only shown for one monitor in nvidia-settings, and when i manually add a metamode into the xorg.conf, it just gives up initialising the second screen. • NoFollow and DoFollow Blog - Comment Links Affect Search Engine Optimization

Many sellers of information products leave comments on blogs, especially popular ones with high Google PageRank, thinking that they are getting those good inbound links to their sites.
