  I am trying to get the following link to work. <a href='#' onclick='window.open(" | &ESPP_Info_URL | ");return false;'>Employee Stock Purchase Plan Information</a> Basically the &ESPP_Info_URL variable takes in a url so that the code below looks like... <a onclick="window.open(https://...);return false;" href="#">Employee Stock Purchase Plan Information</a> But when I click the url it just refreshes the page. Does anyone know how to get this to access the link within the window.open function?

  I have a bitmap and I want to scale it up to fill an ImageView and overlay the unscaled version of the bitmap on top. Which would be cheaper (in terms of memory and processor usage)? Using two ImageViews, one for each version of the bitmap Using a canvas and drawing on the singular bitmap, using one ImageView I saw this question about ImageView vs Canvas, but it doesn't address memory/processor concerns. My intuition says two ImageViews may use more RAM, while using a canvas would use more processing power while the drawing occurs.

Eg: the two columns in a database are from_date and to_date From date : 25/08/2014 To date : 29/08/2014 Problem: the above dates are saved in a two fields like from_date and to_date (room reservation booking), the next reservation details I don't want the date between 25/08/2014 to 29/08/2014.   is it possible to create a timer where I can manually set the hours each day to a set number of hours but still remains accurate? For example; if I set the countdown for 5 hours at 2pm I want the timer to stop as soon as it hits 7pm. Also, when I set the timer for 5 hours I would like everyone in the world to see it countdown from 5 hours, no matter what the time is in their country. In the format: days hours minutes seconds. The reason I want to do this is for a streamer's website. He needs a flexible timer which can be manually changed and is the same worldwide for his viewers to know when he starts streaming.   I'm trying to get the return value of a ruby script in cmd.exe. The ruby script will return -1 if exception is caught and 0 if success. rescue Exception => ex puts ex.message returnvalue = -1 else returnvalue = 0 ensure puts returnvalue in the cmd batch, calling the script using ruby.exe ruby tt.rb 1 %1 But I'm not able to retreive the returnvalue in the cmd batch file (e.g. using %errorlevel%). • Compile OpenSSL from source using Xilinx EDK

  I want to use openSSL functions in my xilinx C++ project. So i downloaded the source and tried to compile using the makefile. But unfortunately the linux box I was provided did not contained the required software (perl5, make, etc) to compile the source using makefile. So as the second option i tried to compile the source as a shared library. So i made a new project using existing openSSL source. But all the attempts were failed since it gave lots of errors including missing headers, unknown defines etc. If someone knows how to compile openssl as a shared library using Xilinx toolchains please help me. It would be really helpful if someone can provide the complete project which can be opened using Xilinx EDK. If better alternative exists to use openssl with xilinx toolchains please explain that also. Thanks in advance....

• Logging on to two sites simultaneously

  I want to log on to two sites simultaneously to enable a single sign on solution. We have a smallish wiki that is created with Apple wiki and we have an intranet site on a aspx cms system by Elcom. Both use Active Directory for credentials. Currently they are on different domains, but we could enable a rewrite using our load-balancer (Citrix Netscaler) or IIS. These sites are on different servers, one a mysterious Mac system and the other an IIS v6.0 on windows 2003. Now I am almost certain that a reverse proxy set up will solve this but I really just need someone to agree that this solves this issue, and if there are things I should look out for what they might be. I just want to have an invisible log on screen in an iframe and enter clone the user name and password using javascript.

• Creation of AsyncTask taking too much time Android

  I am making a network call in an AsyncTask, but the problem i am facing is the amount of time it is taking to start the doInBackground method. Here is a part of my code: button.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { Log.d("Temp:",System.currentTimeMillis()+""); new Move().execute(); /*some other logic } } And my AsyncTask is: private class Move extends AsyncTask<Void, Void, Void> { @Override protected Void doInBackground(Void... temp) { Log.d("start:",System.currentTimeMillis()+""); gson.fromJson(Web.Request.get(some_URL),Void.class); Log.d("end:",System.currentTimeMillis()+""); return null; } } These are the logs i got: 32658-998/com.example.game D/temp:? 1408923006159 32658-998/com.example.game D/start:? 1408923035163 32658-998/com.example.game D/end:? 1408923035199 So actually it took almost 29 secs to reach the first line in doInBackground method, where as it took just 36 ms to finish the network call. I tried it many times, the time taken is almost in the same order. Is it possible to start the AsyncTask immediately? Or is there any other way to solve this problem.(other than a running a simple thread?) Thank you :)

• Cocoa: NSUserNotification appears behind NSPopover

  I have no idea where to even start trying to fix this but maybe someone can point me in the right direction. I have a status item application that shows a popover when clicked, some user interactions produce an NSUserNotification to warn/inform about changes or errors. But when the notification appears it is shown behind the popover, so if they overlay the user can't read what it says. Is there a way to force the notification to appear in front of the popover? Like order the notification to the front. Thanks for the help.

  There's an animation done in jQuery within jsfiddle. I do not have a website as of now to "implant" it and share the URL. I also can't give the jsfiddle. So how can I share my animation to the audience without showing the code? Does github or any other facility tools allow locking the code and showing the final product without having a website, yet I could get a URL for the audience to view it? I regret for the rookie-question in this context as I am still new to web stuff. EDIT: jsFiddle shows 3 code windows along the results :html, css, js. My requirement is to only show the results window to the audience and by all means to hide codes and leads via URL to the codes. Ideal solution demands a results to be shown and URL that is encrypted (at best).

  I have moved my Opencart website to a new host, and I receive the error: Notice: Error: Could not load language total/sub_total! in .../vqmod/vqcache/vq2-system_library_language.php on line 41 How do I resolve this? I have tried renaming vqmod/xml to vqmod/xml.bad, with no result. I have tried renaming /vqmod/vqcache to /vqmod/vqcache.bad, with no result. Update: In \system\library\language.php, I commented out an else branch which resulted in an application exit.

• installing php gd on ubuntu on a vps server

  I was working on localhost with resizing images and everything was great. Than I uploaded to my server and things got interesting. After searching around, looks like I have to enable php-gd on my server. I tried running the line sudo apt-get install php5-gd using putty, and it didn't work. Any ideas why? Also, after the install, I assume I will need to run the function sudo reboot right? clearly I'm not an expert in this area :p

• Is There Anyway to Undo a Quick Initialize from a Perc6/i VD?

  I stupidly fast initialized an existing Raid 5 Array Virtual disk with 10 Virtual Machines after creating a new Raid 5 Array. The VDs switched order on the list of the Perc Controller. My server is a PowerEdge R710 with a Perc 6/i Raid controller running ESXi 5.1. The Bios of the R710 and the Perc 6/i controller are both running the latest firmware. I tried the steps on this article: http://www.caseyfulton.com/dell-perc-6i-fast-initialize-how-to-restore/. However the BartPE just freezes on the Windows XP slapsh page. Does anybody know a full proof method? I have backups of the VMs, however I would like to avoid restoring all of them due to time constraint.

• Some people suddenly say they cant access my site, but me and all others can

  I have had this problem many times before and im still unable to find out what is causing it. It happned to me some months ago but it got fixed by itself and had already gone back to normal. Everything was working fine for quite a while until 2 days ago. Some people are reporting they cant access my site, they get a 404 error, however i can access it normally and many other users cant. I dont know whats the common denominator since both groups of people are from the same countries, use the same browsers, OS, etc. so the issue doesnt seem related to that. I have reported this problem before to my both my host and domain registrar but none of them claim responsibility for that. Who is then to blame? Waht can i do to find out whats causing the issue and solve it? Thank you.

  I would like to ask if it's fine to use pf for all packet filtering (including using altq for traffic shaping) and ipfw's dummynet for bandwidth limiting certain IPs or subnets at the same time. I am using FreeBSD 10 and I couldn't find a definitive answer to this. Googling returns such results as: It works It doesn't work Might work but it's not stable and not recommended It can work as long as you load the kernel modules in the right order It used to work but with recent FreeBSD versions it doesn't You can make it work provided you use a patch from pfsense Then there's a mention that this patch might had been merged back to FreeBSD, but I can't find it. One certain thing is that pfsense uses both firewalls simultaneously so the question is, is it possible with stock FreeBSD 10 (and where to obtain the patch if it's still necessary). • Allowing access to subnets openvpn access server

  I have a centos server running a openvpn access server. On that server I am running a windows server in virtual box. On the centos server I am running the vpn with a network address 172.27.224.0 with 20 bits. The windows server is running a dchp server giving ip's of 192.168.1.0-200. When i try to connect to the widows shared folder from the vpn i can't using the name of the server but i can from the ip.
