• phonegap.js crashes android app

  I'm having this weird problem, where including the phonegap.js file in my project causes the app to crash on both the android emulator and my phone. I got the latest file from GitHub, so I can't see why this isn't working. This happens even if I try to build the sample project that's included in the PhoneGap download... • Mapping relationships from multiple databases in NHibernate

  I have a multi-database application configured with NHibernate. The entities that correspond to tables from each database are in their own separate assemblies (an assembly per database if you will). I have a need/desire to relate an entity from one database to an entity of another database. Everything up to this point works as I want it to (the application handles multiple session factories, etc.). The relationship I want is many-to-one, but in reality my application only cares about one side of the relationship (for reasons that aren't relevant). The relevant entities are Project and PMProject, where a Project HAS A PMProject. When I map the many-to-one, I get the following error: NHibernate.MappingException: An association from the table PROJECTS refers to an unmapped class: SDMS.PPRM.PMProject The Project mapping itself reads (ignore the funky column naming; it's an Oracle db): <many-to-one name="PMProject" class="SDMS.PPRM.PMProject" column="PM_PROJECT_ID" cascade="none" /> In the class attribute, I'm referencing the appropriate assembly, but I get that error which seems to tell me it simply can't find the mapping file for PMProject. But that file exists (it's set as embedded resource), the session factory instantiation works without fail; so I'm at a loss on how to tell the Project mapping how/where to look for the appropriate mapping. Is there something I'm missing? A better way to go about this? Thanks in advance.

• "a valid provisioning file for this executable was not found" in XCode

  I'm trying to submit my second app to the App Store. I've followed all the instructions to the best of my knowledge, but I keep getting this error when I try to build and run: "a valid provisioning file for this executable was not found" I'm letting XCode auto select the profile automatically. The one I'd like to select is greyed out. But the dropdown selection in the Build tab of the Target window says "profile doesn't match application identifier" The other thing I don't get about this is that the selection dropdown shows "com.mycompany.myapp" and then "ABCDEDFG.com.mycompany.myapp" (both of those made up) so that I see they don't match. I have the unique identifier profile installed in the Organizer and in plist file. I'm totally confused. I have followed the instructions in my book a few times and just can't get it.

• Mac App Store Reviewer says "It appears Kiwi fails codesign verification"

  But it clearly does not fail on my system. The Verification test in XCode during the submission should (I assume) test this. • Strange problem with Random Access Filing in C++

  This is a simple random access filing program . The problem arises where i want to write data randomly. If I write any where in the file the previous records are set to 0. the last 1 which is being entered currently holds the correct value all others =0. • Why prefix sql function names?

  What is a scenario that exemplifies a good reason to use prefixes, such as fn_GetName, on function names in SQL Server? It would seem that it would be unnecessary since usually the context of its usage would make it clear that it's a function. I have not used any other language that has ever needed prefixes on functions, and I can't think of a good scenario that would show why SQL is any different. My only thinking is that perhaps in older IDE's it was useful for grouping functions together when the database objects were all listed together, but modern IDE's already make it clear what is a function.

  So I'm writing an app that lets the user select a folder, it gets all the .aspx files in that folder, and lets the users check off which ones they want to add HTML ID's to. A column is defined as follows: <columnDefinition name="Account" type="string" length="72" primaryKey="yes" modularize="property" category="formatted" description="..." /> This column contains values like "[Property]". When the custom action reads this column like this: hr = WcaGetRecordString(hRecCertificate, vcpqAccount, &pwzTemp); it get's the string "[Property]". But I need "PropertyValue".   I am trying to send a multi part formdata post through my java code. Can someone tell me how to set Content Length in the following?? There seem to be headers involved when we use InputStreamBody which implements the ContentDescriptor interface. Doing a getContentLength on the InputStreamBody gives me -1 after i add the content. I subclassed it to give contentLength the length of my byte array but am not sure if other headers required by ContentDescriptor will be set for a proper POST.   I am building an application where the user browses certain objects by scrolling and zooming. To change the zoom level I have successfully implemented a "dijit.form.HorizontalSlider" object. Every time the user changes the position of the silder, I can catch the "onChange" call and do something with that. However, the user can also zoom-in by double clicking inside the view zone, at which point the slider should change position automatically to reflect the new zoom level. My question is the following: what function or method should I call in my javascript to update the position of a dojo silder ? • facebook iframe application gives null GET/POST

  hey everybody, I came up to something really strange with a facebook iframe application. I don't know why but my global supervariables $_GET and $_POST are empty (nulls actually)! As far as i know, when using iframe for doing applications all the specific facebook variables are kept inside the $_GET variable. But for some reason now I don't have anything. I don't know what might be the problem. And as this wouldn't be enough, when i submit a form using POST as method, my $_POST variable is also null! What you guys think might be the problem? I've spent half a day trying to figure this out, but i didn't get any result.

• Hyper-V 2008 R2 synthetic networking stops working with linux 2.6.32.15

  Hi there, so I thought I'd give Hyper-V on Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise a try on my Homeserver (yes, it's legit... got it from msdnaa). First thing to throw at it was my firewall which runs IPFire. This distribution currently uses the kernel version 2.6.32.15 and comes with the Hyper-V drivers. So I enabled them and at first they work just fine but after a few minutes they just fail. There are no packages going in or out anymore until I reboot the VM but sometimes even that won't work so the VM just keeps "Stopping" like forever. Emulated networking works fine but it slow and uses more CPU. That way my firewall routes slower than when running under virtualbox on an atom N270. My server has an E6750; VM is limited to 25%, but that should still outperform this atom CPU especially since it's never going anywhere near 100% CPU load, so give me a break! A quick google search led me to people having the same problem (even with other distributions and kernel versions that include those drivers) but no solution yet... I already found this but I can't quite follow the author on the part where he solved the issue - especially since I need two virtual nics for my firewall distro to work (obviously one internal and one external) What am I missing here?

" 2>&1"; I'd expect that command to find the key and append it with a php tag. However, when I run it in PHP, I get the following error if I trap command output: [0] => /bin/sed: -e expression #1, char 39: unknown command: `?' However, if I run the same command in SSH, it works completely fine: /bin/sed -i '/<BODY BGCOLOR=\"#FFFFFF\">/ a\ <?php \n ?>' file.php I'm out of ideas, I've tried various alternatives but to no avail. • Pass quoted argument string to Start-Process in PowerShell

  Hello I'm trying to very simply run an executable and pass a file path in as the first argument. In DOS, this would be the command: import.exe "C:\Some Path\With\Spaces.txt" By placing the path in quotes, the path is correctly parsed as the first token into the executable. In PowerShell I'm using this: $feeds = dir 'T:\Documents\Company\Product Development\Data foreach ($feed in $feeds) { start -FilePath import.exe -ArgumentList $feed.FullName } The problem with the Start-Process cmdlet in PowerShell is that it uses a string array for arguments, so the path is broken up and sent to the executable as separate tokens. Quotes in PowerShell force $feed.FullName to be treated literally. Double quotes "" make PowerShell not see anything in the argument list. "The argument is null or empty." it tells me. I expect that this is a known headache and has had a known workaround from day one. Thanks Luke

  Hi, I'm having a bit of an issue with system authentication against LDAP in Ubuntu. The LDAP server is OpenLDAP on Ubuntu 10.10, and the client is Ubuntu 10.10 also. I've set up the client by following the "LDAP Authentication" steps at https://help.ubuntu.com/10.10/serverguide/C/openldap-server.html apt-get install libnss-ldap; auth-client-config -t nss -p lac_ldap; pam-auth-update I've done these steps on the server and been able to see LDAP users when running getent passwd. Doing the same steps on the client, getent passwd does not return any LDAP users. Any ideas?

  I have a dedicated server and I am using the install wizard via WHM to install an SSL certificate. I have the following keys: Certificate key RSA private key CA certificate I paste these three elements into the wizard along with the domain, IP address and username but I get this error: SSL install aborted due to error: Unable to save certificate key. Certificate verification passed Have I missed a step? I have given it another go to make sure I am copying and pasting the info correctly and I am now getting the following error: SSL install aborted due to error: Sorry, you must have a dedicated ip to use this feature for the user: username! If you are intending to install a shared certificate you must use the username "nobody" for security and bandwidth reporting reasons. Even though I am using a dedicated IP address, I am getting this problem. I thought I would also add that this SSL certificate has been installed on a shared hosting environment with my previous hostig provider. The account with them is still active, however the domain and its contents now reside on the dedicated server - could this cause problems?

• Which Large File System Format to use for USB Flash drive compatible with Ubuntu/Mac/Windows?

  I've had this problem for a long time and can't find a solution. I switch between the 3 OSes all the time and use a 1TB USB Drive to do so. I can't seem to find a format that is compatible across all systems that handles large files (at least 8-9 GB). Does anyone have a solution for this? Recently I've tried exFat but that messes up the filesystem when trying to read on windows after adding files from Ubuntu (using the fuse driver). The OSes currently I'm using are Windows Vista/7, Mac OS X (10.6.5) and Ubuntu 10.10

  Note: I'm posting this here on Superuser as I think the issue is more related to the Windows Installer than the game itself. My friend is having trouble installing Company of Heroes and CoH: Opposing fronts under Windows 7. A couple of percent into the installation, when the C/C++ runtime is being installed, the install fails with the following message: An error occured while installing the Windows Installer package "C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\Temp\...\...\vcredist.msi". Error code 10212:00000659: MsiInstallProductW returned 00000659: This installation is forbidden by system policy. Contact your system administrator. We have tried: Making sure that any previous installations have been completely removed, including searching and deleting any files/folders/registry entries matching "THQ" (the publisher) and "Relic" (the developer). Installing into a brand new user account Running Setup.exe as administrator Running Compatibility check for Setup.exe, which suggested Windows XP but failed when trying those settings out Does anyone know what might be the cause of the system policy error?

• Two screens hooked to one laptop

  Hi, I'm thinking of getting rid of my desktop, and using my (much better) laptop instead. I'm only wondering if I would be able to hook the two screens I have with it, so I'd end up with three screens. I've seen people doing it to desktops, but am not sure the same could be accomplished with a laptop. My laptop is a sony vaio, and it's got both a VGA output, and an HDMI output. It'd be great is I could simply hook two screens to it, and have three independent screens (not mirrored). on my desktop, I have pretty much the same thing, but with an extra DVI port. I connect the DVI to one screen, and the VGA to an older one. Trying to connect anything to the HDMI simply mirrors whatever is on the DVI (I've tried it a long time ago) So I was wondering if with the laptop I'd be able to do it, and end up with three independent screens. I don't know if there's anything else I could be using instead (i.e. any extra hardware), so recommendations are more than welcome. Thanks in advance, Marcos
