The cl.exe returns a value. How can the javascript take it (It is a javascript program that call .bat file that wrapp the execution of the cl.exe) ? Thanks

  • What are differences between AssemblyVersion, AssemblyFileVersion and AssemblyInformationalVersion?

    - by Jakub Šturc
There are three assembly version attributes. What are differences? Is it ok if I use AssemblyVersion and ignore the rest? MSDN says: AssemblyVersion: Specifies the version of the assembly being attributed. AssemblyFileVersion: Instructs a compiler to use a specific version number for the Win32 file version resource. The Win32 file version is not required to be the same as the assembly's version number. AssemblyInformationalVersion: Defines additional version information for an assembly manifest. This is follow up to What are the best practices for using Assembly Attributes?

  • Encrypted volume automounting in Mac OS X

    - by nsayer
I've had a need to create an encrypted volume on my mac for the company source code. The requirements are not terribly stringent: If someone can log into the machine as me, they win, but otherwise, they should lose. With that set of requirements, you can make it so that the disk is automatically mounted at login.

  • Normal memory usage in Rails

    - by Erik
I'm wondering how much memory usage is normal for a ruby process in a rails application? I really need something to benchmark against. In my dev environment WEBrick a single ruby process uses about 61mb to handle 10 simultaneous requests going non stop. In my prod environment Apache2+Passenger starts 7 ruby processes to handle the same ammount of requests. Each of those processes also use up about 60mb. Is this normal? Also, where do I configure how many ruby processes Passenger can start? Or will it start as many as there is memory available for? Thank you! ps. Using Rails3 beta. ds.

  • MySQL "NULL" questions

    - by Camran
I have a table with several columns. Sometimes some of these column fields may be empty (ie. I won't use them in some cases). My questions: Would it be smart to set them to NULL in phpmyadmin? What does the "NULL" property actually do? Would I gain anything at all by setting them to NULL? Is it possible to use a NULL field the same way even though it is set to null?

  • Posting a form with anchor link at the end?

    - by Marcus
    I have a form for comments like the one below but after the form is posted I wish to navigate to http://www.myurl.com/mypage#commentform but I don't know how to do this. Instead of changing my form maybe there is a way to return a View with my model and add #commentform to my url? <div id="commentform"> <h2>Leave a comment</h2> <% using (Html.BeginForm("Comment","Post", FormMethod.Post)) %> <% { %> <div> <%=Html.EditorFor(post => post.Comment) %> <div class="editor-button"> <input type="submit" value="Comment" /> </div> </div> <% } %> </div>

  • How to send XML data through socket InputStream

    - by THeK3nger
Hi, I'm trying to write a client-server application in Java with an XML-based protocol. But I have a great problem! See this part of client code: InputStream incoming = skt.getInputStream(); //I get Stream from Socket. OutputStream out = skt.getOutputStream(); [...] XMLSerializer serializer = new XMLSerializer(); //This create an XML document. tosend = WUTPClientWriter.createMessage100(projectid, cpuclock, cpunumber); serializer.setOutputByteStream(out); serializer.serialize(tosend); At this point server fall in deadlock. It wait for EOF but I can't send it because if I use out.close(); or skt.shutdownOutput(); I close Socket and I must keep alive this connection. I can't send '\0' becouse I get Parse Error in the server. How can I do? Can I "close" output stream without close socket? RESOLVED I've created new class XMLStreamOutput and XMLStreamInput with advanced Stream gesture.

  • How to organized page specific CSS link tags with spark view pages and application.spark

    - by dbr
I'm currently using ASP.NET MVC 2 and the spark view engine. The main master page (application.spark) contains all of the CSS link tags that need to be present for all pages (global stuff). However, I have some content pages that have page specific CSS tags and currently I'm just sticking the link tag in the body as something like: <content name="MainContent"> <!-- page specific csss --> <link rel="stylesheet" href="/Content/css/page_specific.css" /> My problem is that when the page renders, this tag ends up in the which is not where it needs to be. Is there a solution for this? One idea I had was to check the controller in the Application.spark page and write out which page specific css file is required for that particular controller, however, that solution doesn't seem to scale well and I would imagine there is some way of creating the link in the child page and having it render where it's supposed to by the browser.

  • Rendering maps from raw SVG data in Java

    - by Lunikon
In an application of mine I have to display locations and great circle paths in a map which is rendered to PNG and then displayed on the web. For this I simply use a world map (NASA's Blue Marbel in fact) scaled to various "zoom levels" as base image and only display the a part of it matching the final image size and fitting all items to be displayed. Straight forward so far. Now I came across Wikipedia's awesome blank SVG maps which contain all the country codes for easy reference and I was wondering whether it was possible to use those to have more customized colors and to highliht countries etc. So I did a bit of googling and was looking for Java libraries which would enable me to load the blank SVG map to memory allows for easy reference/selection of certain paths do manipulations of coloring, stroke widths etc render to a buffered image as the background for the great-circle paths/nodes What I came across quite often was Batik, but it looks like a really heavy framework and I'm not quite sure whether it is what I'm looking for. I have recently played around with Raphaël a bit and I like the way it handles working with vector graphics in code. If the Java framework for my purpose would feature a similar interface, that would be a nice-to-have. Any recommendations what toolset would be approriate for my purposes?

  • How to config DLink DSL-2640T to allow access from DynDNS route to specific port on my PC?

    - by Greendog
Hi, everyone. I think you can help me out from this little problem. I am trying to setup an Apache web server on my PC and let the other remotes to this machine via DynDNS.com. I found that DLink DSL-2640T make me confuse about how to configure the routing from http://myhostname.dyndns.org:80 to 192.168.1.13:80. At the moment when I browse the URL http://myhostname.dyndns.org, it will lead me to router's admin control panel. Could you help me out by giving your guideline or suggestion?

  • Optimising SQL distance query

    - by Alex
I'm running an MySQL query that returns results based on location. However I have noticed recently that its really slowing down my PHP app. I used CodeIgniter and the profiler shows the query taking 4.2seconds. The geoname table has 500,000 rows. I have some indexes on the key columns, how else can speed up this query? Here is my SQL: SELECT `products`.`product_name`, `geoname`.`geonameid`, `geoname`.`latitude`, `geoname`.`longitude`, `products`.`product_id`, AVG(ratings.vote) as rating, count(comments.comment_id) as total_comments, (6371 * acos(cos(radians(38.7666667)) * cos(radians(geoname.latitude)) * cos(radians(geoname.longitude) - radians(-3.3833333)) + sin(radians(38.7666667)) * sin(radians(geoname.latitude)))) AS distance FROM (`foods`) JOIN `geoname` ON `geoname`.`geonameid` = `products`.`geoname_id` LEFT JOIN `ratings` ON `ratings`.`var_id` = `products`.`product_id` LEFT JOIN `comments` ON `comments`.`var_id` = `products `.`product_id` WHERE `products`.`product_id` != 82 GROUP BY `products`.`product_id` HAVING `distance` < 99 ORDER BY `distance` LIMIT 10
