  • GUI Control For Audio Presentation

    I need GUI control for audio file presentation. The language is not very important but it should run on windows platform. I should be able to :- load the file play the sound put and move markers across the audio bar. it would be nice if it can load itself from RTP wireshark captures (and not wav files). An example may be seen in audacity (may be someone even had an experience extracting it from there). Writing nyquist scripts in audacity is not a good option because I have to operate on RTP captures and not on raw sound samples. Another example of such control is wireshark RTP analyzer. Any advise?

  • How should I use .ico files in a Winforms Application ?

    I'm developing a WinForms c# 3.0 application. Our designer created quite a lot of .ico files containing all the needed art. The choice of .ico was made because quite often, the same image is needed in several places in different dimensions. Now, it seems .ico files are really annoying to use in visual studio. The only way to use those images seems to be through images list (which aren't supported by all controls). Compared to other resources, you can't write this : foo.Image = global::RFQHUB.RFQHUBClient.Properties.Resources.foo; // Cannot implicitly convert type 'System.Drawing.Icon' to 'System.Drawing.Image' Here are the options I'm considering : create ImageLists of all possible sizes referencing all my icons in my main window. Link these ImageLists from other windows and find a way to export Image objects from the ImageList when I can't use it directly ; since ImageList contains a Draw() method, this should probably be possible. convert all the x.ico I've got in several x16.gif ...x48.gif, and use those through resources. I'd be interested to know if some people have been successfully using .ico resources in a Winform application. In so, how did you set up things ?

  • Avoiding improper std::string initialization with NULL const char* using g++

    A there any g++ options which can detect improper initialization of std::string with NULL const char*? I was in the process of turning some int fields into std::string ones, i.e: struct Foo { int id; Foo() : id(0) {} }; ...turned into: struct Foo { std::string id; Foo() : id(0) {} //oooops! }; I completely overlooked bad 'id' initialization with 0 and g++ gave me no warnings at all. This error was detected in the run time(std::string constructor threw an exception) but I'd really like to detect such stuff in the compile time. Is there any way?

    Hi I am trying to send some text in an email from my cocoa app (by using Mail.app). Initially I tried using HTML to send properly formatted text. But the mailto: URL does not support html tags (even after setting headers) So I decided to use formatted string (left-aligning of string) This is what I have in my mailto: link's body argument NSMutableString *emailBody = [NSMutableString stringWithFormat:@"|%-35s", [@"Name" UTF8String]]; [emailBody appendFormat:@"|%-18s", [@"Number" UTF8String]]; [emailBody appendString:@"|Notes\n"]; [emailBody appendString:@"----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------"]; for(int i = 0; i < [items count]; i++){ NSDictionary *props = [items objectAtIndex:i]; NSMutableString *emailData = [NSMutableString stringWithFormat:@"|%-35s", [[props valueForKey:@"name"] UTF8String]]; [emailData appendFormat:@"|$ %-16s", [[props valueForKey:@"number"] UTF8String]]; [emailData appendString:[props valueForKey:@"notes"]]; [emailBody appendString:@"\n"]; [emailBody appendString:emailData]; } This does give me padded text but they all don't necessarily take up the same space (for instance if there is an O in the text, it takes up more space than others and ruins the formatting) Is there another sure-shot way to format text using just NSString?     I have a sql file generated by "mysqldump --all-databases" . There are many databases in it. What I want to do is to update my local database but only a specific one, not all. I tried to use "mysql -database=db_name < file.sql" but it updated all databases. Is there a way to skip all databases except the one that I want.

    I have several divs that share a common class. If one of these divs do not have a child div, I want to hide the div. I can find the right div but I'm unable to hide it. This is my code, $(function() { if ($(".adRight.childen('div')").length == 0) { $(this).hide(); } }); What should I use instead of (this)? this refers to the document and not the div the if-statement found.

  • WAMP not sending file headers (content-type) correctly

    Hi! I cant get a PHP file to send correct headers at my WAMP server. Wouldn't be a problem normally except that is phpMyAdmin that is freaking out right now. Here's the row that the file that merges the css files together in phpmyadmin uses to send the output as CSS. header('Content-Type: text/css; charset=UTF-8'); I have also putted a .htaccess file in the phpmyadmin directory: AddType text/css .css Neither is working. What can I do to make sure that this file is interpreted as a CSS by firefox?

    When I compile a c++ application I'm writing that makes use of hash_map, I get this warning on g++ 4.3.2: You are using the deprecated header . To eliminate this warning, use an ANSI-standard header file or use hte -Wno-deprecated compiler flag. 9> #include <ext/hash_map> What include replaces this? I've searched for a while on google, and can't find anything except for people having similar problems, but no solution.

    Here is the xml file: <section> <number>1</number> <title>A Title goes here...</title> <code>TheCode</code> <element></element> <element></element> </section> In section node, there are number, title and code node. Their sequence must not be fixed. Then, there are multiple element under section node as well. The idea is to use the following schema: <xs:complexType name="Type-section"> <xs:all> <xs:element name="number" minOccurs="0"></xs:element> <xs:element name="code" minOccurs="1"></xs:element> <xs:element name="title" minOccurs="1"></xs:element> </xs:all> <xs:sequence> <xs:element maxOccurs="unbounded" name="element"></xs:element> </xs:sequence> </xs:complexType> But it is invalid. I just cant put "sequence" and "all" together in the same level. How can i fix it?

  • How to achieve multiple grids like the SQL server Results pane

    Hi guys ! I'm having problems with my project once again :( The front end is C# I need to support multiline querying like MS SQL server and when these queries are executed, naturally there are going to be multiple result sets. Getting the datatables respective to the results is not a problem, but how do i make it appear like its done in MS SQL server. One result set below the other and with a scroll bar? Should i bind it to a datagrid? If so how can i bind multiple tables to a datagrid ? and will it generate the scrollbars and the columns automatically? If i am not clear, please let me know and i'll try to be more clearer. ps: If anyone knows how this can be done with the XtraGridControl in devexpress that would be awesome ! :D

So I just need someone to explain why perl give me surprise in this case.

    Hi, I want to change the build system path for building my VC++ project in VS2005. When I try to build the project, I'm getting an error that a specified header file cannot be opened. I have that header file in "Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.0\Include". But the path present in 'Build system path' is "Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.0\Include" which i found in the Error dialog box when i tried to open that header file through the code. So I want to change the path in build system path to "Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.0\Include". How can i do this.? How to open Build system paths in VS2005.?
