  • How to load file into mysql DB on a shared hosting platform?

    A process running on my machine collects data from various websites and stores it in the local mysql db. Same data is exported using SELECT INTO OUTFILE and FTPed to the shared host every few hours. My hosting provider doesn't allow LOAD DATA INFILE to be executed on the shared host? What are my other options for automated/scheduled load to MYSQL db on my shared host?

  • How to call JSON asynchronous in xcode/ iphone develope

    I'm using the JSON framework hosting on Google. What and it's a news app that loads JSON feeds, when app goes off to load the feed I want to display the UIActivityIndicatorView but I've found my JSON Access code is not being called asynchronous which is locking the user interface.     There seem to be more than one way to install eggs into a buildout. Way 1: [buildout] ... eggs = eggname othereggname ... Way 2: [buildout] ... parts = eggs [eggs] recipe = zc.recipe.egg eggs = eggname = othereggname Both ways work. ( variation on way 2 would be to install each requirement as a separate part. ) What is the difference between these 2 methods? For my projects, I'm using buildout with djangorecipe and mr.developer.

  • dell poweredge 860 always pxe boot

    Hi, We bought a dell poweredge 860, and installed windows server 2008 std. So far so good. Now everytime the server reboots, it try's the pxe boot, and hangs on "cant find pxe bootable, press f1 to continue or f2 to setup". Now, i tried all the settings in the bios (it's the latest - A05), i have the nic active without pxe (i also tried with the nic off)... well, i tried everyting off and on the bios and it still goes to pxe booting. I have one sata drive, that is boot's after the f1. I would like to keep the system updated, but i can't because of the reboot, can someone point me to some direction? Can i give any more information of the server? If yes, what do you want? It has been a week on google trying to figure out this one. Thx

  • Linq To Sql: Compiled Queries and Extension Methods

    Hi community, I'm interessted, how does Linq2Sql handles a compiled query, that returns IQueryable. If I call an extension method based on a compiled query like "GetEntitiesCompiled().Count()" or "GetEntitiesCompiled().Take(x)". What does Linq2Sql do in the background? This would be very bad, so in this situation I should write a compiled query like "CountEntitiesCompiled". Does he load the result (in this case "GetEntitiesCompiled()") into the memory (mapped to the entity class like "ToList()")? So what situations make sense, when the compiled queries return IQueryable, that query is not able to modify, before request to the Sql-Server. So in my opinion I can just as good return List.     I was hoping to keep cross-browser compatibility and afaik this is the only issue so far. .setAttribute("onclick", "return showRapidText("+itemnum+");"); This works PERFECT but I'd like to make it IE compatible by putting it in this syntax .onclick = new Function("fnDisplay_Computers('" + alines[i] + "')"); so... I tried .onclick = new Function("showRapidText('" + itemnum + "')"); and .onclick = new Function("return showRapidText('" + itemnum + "')"); and about 40 other ways but nothing works

  • can't read from stream until child exits?

    OK I have a program that creates two pipes - forks - the child's stdin and stdout are redirected to one end of each pipe - the parent is connected to the other ends of the pipes and tries to read the stream associated with the child's output and print it to the screen (and I will also make it write to the input of the child eventually). The problem is, when the parent tries to fgets the child's output stream, it just stalls and waits until the child dies to fgets and then print the output. If the child doesn't exit, it just waits forever. What is going on? I thought that maybe fgets would block until SOMETHING was in the stream, but not block all the way until the child gives up its file descriptors.   • how to redraw markers without redrawing the map? google maps.

    I currently have a implementation where some markers coming from JSON list is shown, on a particular area, Now I want to filter these marker depending upon some criteria, I have done the filtering part, and got the filtered list. Now to render this markers on the map again, The current implementation loads the js with a key again, also creates the GMap2 object and draws the list of marker on the newly created map, which is really annoying. I want map to be there and only markers to be added and removed from the map. Any help is appreciated

  • Image Size for Animation!

    Hi Everybody, I m new to iphone app development and i need some help. I have a list of 30 images that i have to animate and display with 0.1 second interval. I put all the images in an Array using this imageletter.animationImages = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:[UIImage imageNamed:@"1.png"], ...... ,nil] And then animate it using these statements, [imageletter setAnimationDuration:16]; [imageletter startAnimating]; [NSTimer scheduledTimerWithTimeInterval:mytime target:self selector:@selector(StopAfterCertainTime) userInfo:nil repeats:NO]; Now the problem is that the size of each image is 8kb , it runs fine on iphone simulator but crashes on device. When i used 30 other images of 4kb each it runs fine both on simulator and device. Can anybody tell me what is the ideal size for such kind of task. Thanks

  • Do you put a super() call a the beginning of your constructors?

    This is a question about coding style and recommended practices: As explained in the answers to the question unnecessary to put super() in constructor?, if you write a constructor for a class that is supposed to use the default (no-arg) constructor from the superclass, you may call super() at the beginning of your constructor: public MyClass(int parm){ super(); // leaving this out makes no difference // do stuff... } but you can also omit the call; the compiler will in both cases act as if the super() call were there. So then, do you put the call into your constructors or not? On the one hand, one might argue that including the super() makes things more explicit. OTOH, I always dislike writing redundant code, so personally I tend to leave it out; I do however regularly see it in code from others. What are your experiences? Did you have problems with one or the other approach? Do you have coding guidelines which prescribe one approach?
