  • jQuery UI Slider (setting programatically)

    Hi Folks, I'd like to modify the sliders on-the-fly. I tried to do so by using $("#slider").slider("option", "values", [50,80]); This call will set the values, but the element will not update the slider positions. Calling $('#slider").trigger('change'); does not help either. Is there another/better way to modify the value AND slider position ?

  • Encrypting all outgoing email

    I have a client requirement to encrypt all outgoing email from a linux server. This can be done using any software, sendmail/postfix etc. They have given me the key they want to use, and want all forms (using php) to be encrpyted. Can I set sendmail/etc to encrypt all emails? This could be done with the same key for all mail. Thanks

  • Photoshop CS4 panels get "stuck" after being moved

    Using Photoshop CS4 on Windows 7. If I try to move or reorganize any of the panels (e.g. Info, Swatches, Layers, etc.) by dragging a panel into a different location on the screen, the moved panel becomes "stuck" and cannot be moved again (although it can be minimized to an icon). Any suggestions for resolving?

  • Has anyone managed to install Office Webapps on SharePoint 2010, on Windows 7 ?

    I've installed SharePoint 2010 as a development environment on my Windows 7 x64 environment (notes here) and would like to install Office Web Apps onto it also. However, when trying to install (following this link), I get an error saying that Web roles aren't installed. The error message in the log file is: Start C:\Windows\system32\ServerManagerCmd.exe -whatif -inputpath C:\Users\nickh\AppData\Local\Temp\PRE1.tmp.XML Error: Failed to start process for file: C:\Windows\system32\ServerManagerCmd.exe arguments: -whatif -inputpath C:\Users\nickh\AppData\Local\Temp\PRE1.tmp.XML ErrorCode: 2(0x2). Which is effectively saying that ServerManagerCmd is not found. It isn't on my machine as it is deprecated and replaced by Powershell functions, but is on Server 2008 R2. I've tried copying that over and it just fails to run. Is there a way to get Office WebApps installed on Win7 ? Is there a way to get a working version of ServerManagerCmd.exe on a Windows 7 x64 environment ? Many thanks

  • Does tempdb Get Recreated From model at Startup?

    In my last post Does the tempdb Log file get Zero Initialized at Startup? I questioned whether or not tempdb is actually created from the model database or not at startup.  There is actually an easy way to prove that this statement, at least internally to the tempdb database is in fact TRUE.  Many thanks go out to Bob Ward (Blog | Twitter) for pointing this out after trading emails with him.   • why this with excel sheet reading?

    Hi, I am reading the excel sheet from c# interop services cell by cell. where as my excel sheet have Date cells. It generates some double values , I am converting them in date by : double dbl = Convert.ToDouble(((Excel.Range)worksheet.Cells[iRowindex, colIndex_q17]).Value2); string strDate3 = DateTime.FromOADate(dbl).ToShortDateString(); drRow[dtSourceEXLData.Columns[constants.VisualDate]] = strDate3; ok? but some time happening the value of ((Excel.Range)worksheet.Cells[iRowindex,colIndex_q17]).Value2 getting date formate.why this is happeing? plaease guide me. it throws excepion of "input string not in correct format".why it is not generating double value like other cell of same column?

Person.prototype.lname = "Thomsom"; now pObj.lname gets me "Thomson". My question is that, when pObj didn't find the property lname in it, how does it know where to look for.

  • How to use MSBuild to create ClickOnce files that match those created by Visual Studio

    I am trying to use MSBuild in a TFS Build file to create click once files for my application. According to MSDN (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms165431.aspx) it seems that the project file's click once settings should be used unless you override them with property arguments on the command line. However, even though I have specified (in VS) that some prerequisites should be bootstrapped in with the setup, they don't seem to get installed if I use the MSBuild command line to create the package, even though they do seem to get installed if I use Visual Studio to create the ClickOnce package. Please could someone advise me how to get my prerequisites to get installed via ClickOnce when the clickonce package is built using the MSBuild command line? For information, in Visual Studio, project properties, "Publish" tab, "Prerequisite" button, I have ticked "Create setup program to install prerequisite components", I have ticked my pre-requisites and I have specified "Download prerequisites from the component vendor's web site"

  • MySQL import in phpmyadmin (CSV) chokes on quotes

    I am trying to import a .csv file into a MySQL table via phpMyAdmin. The .csv file is separated by pipes, formated like this: data|d'ata|d'a"ta|dat"a| data|"da"ta|data|da't'a| dat'a|data|da"ta"|da'ta| The data contains quotes. I have no control over the format in which I recieve the data -- it is generated by a third party. The problem comes when there is a | followed by a double quote. I always get an "invalid field count in CSV input on line N" error. I am uploading the file from the import page, using Latin1, CSV, terminated by |, separated by ". I would like to just change the "enclosed by" character, but I keep getting "Invalid parameter for CSV import: Fields enclosed by". I have tried various characters with no success. How can I tell MySQL to accept this format in phpMyAdmin? Setting up these tables is the first step in writing a program that will use uploaded gzipped .csv files to maintain the catalog of an e-commerce site.

    I have an appender setup like this <appender name="Scheduler_Appender" type="log4net.Appender.RollingFileAppender"> <file value="c:\temp\ApplicationLog.txt"/> <rollingStyle value="Date"/> <datePattern value="yyyyMMdd"/> <appendToFile value="true"/> <staticLogFileName value="true"/> <layout type="MinLayout"> <locationInfo value="true"/> </layout> </appender> When the log file first gets created the file name is simply ApplicationLog.txt this is correct. However when the logging rolls - the filename that gets generated is ApplicationLog.txt20100323 (for example), and not ApplicationLog20100323.txt How can I change the configuration so files are rolled to [FileName][Date].[ext] rather than [FileName].[ext][Date] Thanks

    I am trying to create a Macro that either runs on close or on save to backup the file to a different location. At the moment the Macro I have used is: Private Sub Workbook_BeforeClose(Cancel As Boolean) 'Private Sub Workbook_BeforeSave(ByVal SaveAsUI As Boolean, Cancel As Boolean) 'Saves the current file to a backup folder and the default folder 'Note that any backup is overwritten Application.DisplayAlerts = False ActiveWorkbook.SaveCopyAs Filename:="T:\TEC_SERV\Backup file folder - DO NOT DELETE\" & _ ActiveWorkbook.Name ActiveWorkbook.Save Application.DisplayAlerts = True End Sub This creates a backup of the file ok the first time, however if this is tried again I get: Run-Time Error '1004'; Microsoft Office Excel cannot access the file 'T:\TEC_SERV\Backup file folder - DO NOT DELETE\Test Macro Sheet.xlsm. There are several possible reasons: The file name or path does not exist The file is being used by another program The workbook you are trying to save has the same name as a... I know the path is correct, I also know that the file is not open anywhere else. The workbook has the same name as the one I'm trying to save over but it should just overwrite.   • What features do you miss most when switching from IntelliJ to XCode ?

    Hi, I've started to use XCode several months ago, after using IntelliJ for several years, and there are quite a few features that I really miss. XCode is not that bad, but it is lacking some basic stuff. To trigger the discussion, here are some of the features that I miss most, who knows maybe someone from Apple will bump into this post and steal some Ideas :) Source-level error-highlighting. The write-compile-fix cycle feels like going back in time 15 years ago to my early C days. Many errors can be spotted without having to compile and Java IDEs have been doing it for years. A decent debugger. This is a bit unfair because IntelliJ's debugger is the best I've used so far, but XCode's debugger is at least 5 years behind and Apple has a few more developers than JetBrains... Stronger re-factoring. A no-brainer I guess. XCode has some renaming capabilities (which they call re-factoring), but they are very few. Override method. This one is really amazing. XCode doesn't have an "override method" command which lets you choose the method you want to override from a super class or protocol. You need to go to the documentation or header file and start copy-pasting. Duplicate selected line(s). I've bumped into some posts that offer workarounds for this via custom key-binding, but none of them works, at least for me. Go to last edit point. Bummer! Come on Apple, this one is so easy to implement and so useful! A better open quickly feature. IntelliJ's quick find of classes/files/text is so much better... Turns out that my list goes on and on, so I'll stop here... What other features do you miss most in your transition to XCode?? Ori

  • How do I obtain a new stateful session bean in a servlet thread?

    I'm experimenting with EJB3 I would like to inject a stateful session bean into a servlet, so that each user that hits the servlet would obtain a new bean. Obviously, I can't let the bean be an instance variable for the servlet, as that will be shared. And apparantly injecting local variables isn't allowed. I can use the new operator to create a bean, but that doesn't seem the right approach. Is there a right way to do this? It seems like what I'm trying to do is fairly straightforward, after all, we would want each new customer to find an empty shopping cart.

  • Javascript: parseInt() with trailing characters

    parseInt("7em", 10); returns 7 in all browsers I tested [*]. But can I rely on this? The reason I ask is, that I want to perform some calculations based on em, like /* elem1.style.top uses em units */ elem2.style.top = parseInt(elem1.style.top, 10) + 1 + "em"; I could do this with regular expressions, but parseInt is easier to use, and probably a bit faster. Or is there another solution (maybe using jQuery)? [*] Tested so far on: IE 6, IE 8, Safari 4, Firefox 3.6, Opera 10.5

  • Windows server Task Scheduler, close after?

    I have a scheduled task on my server which runs a PHP script every minute. In the 'Run' part of the scheduled task I have the following: "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" "http://www.example.co.uk/script.php" So when it runs it opens Internet Explorer and browses to that URL. Is it possible to get it to close Internet Explorer after running the script?
