  • Is it possible to change error messages for users connecting to network printers?

    We are cleaning up our print server (Win XP). To test that printers are no longer really there we have set up some tests. These tests have left us with 176 questionable printers. We have now set Print access to Everyone to Deny. Testing shows this gives the user a 5 Access is denied. message. We would like to change this message for the user, so when they call our workstudy's who answer the phone do not interpret this as a computer rights management issue and can route the call properly. Is it possible? Is this error number system wide, or just for printing errors? If it's not a system wide error where might the string for this error be?

  • How to fix Windows 2008 R2 show less memory than available

    I've got Win2008 R2 64bit installed on Dell R410 server with 8GB of RAM. Dell Open Manage shows 8GB total and 4GB available for use, In Windows Control Panel, System i see 64bit and 8GB of RAM while in Windows Task Manager at Performance tab there is 4GB of memory available. Dell support has made some checks and told me that if BIOS shows 8Gb of RAM and indeed BIOS does then it's operational system issue. Tried to search online for resolution but none found. Please help, thanks

    Hi all, My team is working with several RedHat linux servers and we'd like to synchronize our sources from one server to another (for several distinct projects). I'd like to set-up a git-server as a version control; however I'm new to git and I'm confused by the terms ('server', "daemon', 'repository', etc...). Moreover we're working behind a firewall. Can anyone point me to a link about how to setup a git server ? Thanks. Pierre

  • Weird problem, special characters after formatting the hard drive, computer not starting 0_o

    Hya friends , Last night my computer was working fine. But today when i came back from college and started it , it was starting fine but after sometime it's getting restarted , again and again getting restarted at different points , so i tried to boot it in safe mode but same problem. Now after all this , i finally decided to format the drive C (it is in 80 GB) and load new OS windows XP3. After formatting and loading xp3 sufficient files , when it was getting rebooted for copying the actual os files , it hung and a weird screen came. I've also attached the pic of error : http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=gxz1vKS My specs : P4 3.0 Ghz 2 GB RAM (2x 512 mb and 1 GB) 3 hard drives { 80 GB (5 years old around) 320 GB ( 2 years old around) 500 GB ( recently bought) 256 MB graphics card any help is very appreciated , thanks

    Hi, I'm new in QT, and I'm just testing out the MOC. For a given class: class Counter : public QObject { Q_OBJECT int m_value; public: Counter() {m_value = 0;} ~Counter() {} int value() {return m_value;} public slots: void setValue(int value); signals: void valueChanged(int newValue); }; I want to get a list of all methods in a class, but seem to only be getting a list of signals and slots, although the documentation says it should be all methods?   • Creating multiple MFC dialogs through COM, strange behaviour

    One of our apps has a COM interface which will launch a dialog, e.g: STDMETHODIMP CSomeClass::LaunchDialog(BSTR TextToDisplay) { CDialog *pDlg = new CSomeDialog(TextToDisplay); pDlg->BringWindowToTop(); } For some reason when the COM method is called several times at once by the server, we get odd behaviour: We get multiple dialogs, but only one entry in the taskbar Dialog Z-order is based on order created and can't be changed... the first dialog created is always shown under the 2nd one, 2nd under 3rd, etc, even when you drag them around if N dialogs were created, closing one of them closes it and all the others created afterwards. e.g if 5 dialogsa re created and you close the 3rd one, #3,#4,#5 all get closed. It's somehow like the dialogs are siblings but I don't see anything weird going on. Is it perhaps due to COM, or is this a weird MFC/Win32 issue?

    I'm running asterisk 1.6.2.6 and freepbx-2.7.0 My trunk is configured as follows: Outgoing Settings Trunk name: GoTalk Peer Details: host=sip.gotalk.com username=09xxxxxx secret=YNxxxxxx type=peer fromuser=09xxxxxx fromdomain=sip.gotalk.com canreinvite=no insecure=very Incoming Settings User Context: 09xxxxx User Details: username=09xxxxx fromuser=09xxxxx type=peer secret=YNxxxxx insecure=very host=dynamic fromdomain=sip.gotalk.com context=from-pstn Register String: 09xxxxxx:[email protected]/09xxxxxx I have an inbound route called Incoming with DID 09xxxxxx diverted to local extension 200 When I do a sip trace and dial my telephone number 0741xxxxx I just get failure beeps. I never see any SIP traffic from GoTalk to my asterisk server trying to connect the call. Seems I'm not registering correctly for incoming calls because GoTalk aren't sending them to me. I am correct in using the GoTalk username 09xxxxxx as the DID, aren't I ? I've tried using my phone number but it makes no difference.

  • Correct way to get absolute url in django

    A problem that I stumbled upon recently, and, even though I solved it, I would like to hear your opinion of what correct/simple/adopted solution would be. I'm developing website using Django + python. When I run it on local machine with "python manage.py runserver", local address is http://127.0.0.1:8000/ by default. However, on production server my app has other url, with path - like "http://server.name/myproj/" I need to generate and use permanent urls. If I'm using {% url view params %}, I'm getting paths that are relative to / , since my urls.py contains this urlpatterns = patterns('', (r'^(\d+)?$', 'myproj.myapp.views.index'), (r'^img/(.*)$', 'django.views.static.serve', {'document_root': settings.MEDIA_ROOT + '/img' }), (r'^css/(.*)$', 'django.views.static.serve', {'document_root': settings.MEDIA_ROOT + '/css' }), ) So far, I see 2 solutions: modify urls.py, include '/myproj/' in case of production run use request.build_absolute_uri() for creating link in views.py or pass some variable with 'hostname:port/path' in templates Are there prettier ways to deal with this problem?   • jQuery tooltips on a dynamically generated page.

    Him I'm trying to add a jQuery tooltip to a dynamically generated list, the text I want to display the tooltip on is in a table, so my CSS tooltip doesn't work: CSS tooltip. I tried to add this jQuery tooltip to the page, it works on my local test page, but I think the problem has something to do with uniqur ids, and I'm not sure how to implement the bind all function explained there: "To bind all of the targets to their corresponding content, it takes only one line: $(".tooltip-target").ezpz_tooltip(); Calling ezpz_tooltip() on a class will bind the hover event to each element, and because of the naming convention it will know which content to display." Can someone help me to understand what exactly I have to do to make this work on a dynamic page? The page is Euroworker's checkout product page. (You'll have to add some items to the basket, click the home button on the left of the bnav bar and click the little white button "kjøp" then the orange button "handlevogn".) Thanks.

    what would be the impact on SEO of changing the text of the <h1> dynamically on the server side each time the web page loads? I'm not talking about changing the whole text, just part of it, for example if the header contains some fixed text (with keywords of course), and also contains the current date or time/the current number of logged on users/the count of items current in stock/whatever. how would that affect my ranking? is it bad? doesn't make a difference? thanks.

    I am new to programming PHP and am trying to validate a field in a form. The field if for a RAL color code and so would look something like : RAL 1001. so the letters RAL and then 4 numbers. Can someone help me set them into a regular expression to validate them. i have tried this with no success: $string_exp = "/^[RAL][0-9 .-]+$/i"; What can I say but sorry for being a complete NOOB at PHP.   • MySqlDateTime to System.DateTime conversion

    Ok I'm very new to databases and C# in general, but I'm using a piece of code that exports dataset data to an Excel file, and its taking issue with the date/time format. I'm using the MySQL connector so the rowtype is MySql.Data.Types.MySqlDateTime. Is there any quick way to convert it into System.DateTime so I can slot it straight into the case statement? Here's a link to the code I used, I copied it verbatim so I've not copied and pasted it here.     I think the title is fully descriptive. Anyway, I need to generate a word document from my delphi application. It needs to choose from one of four different equations (with some specific parameters for each document). So far I have manage to create the whole document programmatically except the equation. Is it possible to create equations programmatically? if so, where is de API documentation from MS? if not, which solution can be used?
