  • Modifying Gridview select action?

    I have a gridview and when a user selects a row I want to change the view in my multiview and display several new gridviews. A user would be clicking on a computer, and then it will display the computer stats/atached devices/etc. The new gridviews are going to need a column from the row that was selected, how do I get that?   • C# Event Handlers automatically created by WinForms Designer

    Just moved from VB.NET to C#. In VB to connect and Event Handler to a Sub we use the Handles clause. From what it seems, this do not exist in C#. After creating a simple application with a button I realize that Window Forms Designer automatically created an EventHandler to my button1_Click function (after I double clicked it), in Form1.Designer.cs with this code: this.button1.Click += new System.EventHandler(this.button1_Click); But, in VB, the WinForms Designer create the Handles clause in my class, in the function header. So, C# create the default EventHandler in designer file, while VB creates in main class with control resides. Is this correct? Am I missing something here?

  • How to load the whole content of a page into another window?

    I'm building a Dashboard and for some stupid reasons my boss wants to load it in a frame on the homepage (yes a frame, he still lives in the 1990s). Anyway, sometimes the dashboard needs some room so that it can show all charts correctly, so I want to add a feature to load the content of the dashboard into a new window. The problem is that, if the user has had some interaction with the dashboard, it will contain modal dialogs, new images, etc... so I want to load all the dashboard content into a new window without reloading its content. Of course, the user should be able to continue browsing the dashboard without problems. How can I do that? I'm using jQuery as my JavaScript framework.

  • What could cause sudden crash of a MySQL 5.0.67 installation?

    I have an old Ubuntu 8.10 32-bit with MySQL 5.0.67. There's 5.7GB of data in it and it grows by about 100MB every day. About 3 days ago, the MySQL instance begin dying suddenly and quitely (no log entry) during the nightly mysqldump. What could be causing it? Upgrading MySQL is a long-term project for me, unless there happens to be a specific bug in 5.0.67 then I guess I'll just need to reprioritize. I'm hoping somebody might be familiar with this problem since this is a fairly popular version bundled with Ubuntu 8.10. Thanks

  • What should I do to recompile my static library (originally written in VS6) in visual studio 2008?

    There is a static library A with c++ classes wrapped by a C API in VS6. I developed a static library B in VS6 using callbacks from library A. The library B is used by the program C (commercial software) as a "user defined library" and linked to produce the program D. Questions: 1) When program C uses VS 6 it works, should it work fine with VS 2008? Because it doesn't. 2) When I tried to recompile library B in VS 2008 it gave me a .lib file with only 28KB, and the old one had more than 2MB. Is it ok? What Am I probably doing wrong? MsgBox ("The query took " & sngElapsed _ & " seconds to run.") As you can see, this loop does NOTHING. You'd expect it to finish in seconds, however it takes about 857 seconds to run (or 15 minutes). I dont know why it is so slow. Maybe the lotusnotes sql driver? any other ideas? (java based solution, any other solution) What my goal is: To get all the data from remote server and insert into local access table

  • Online Image Slideshow Question. File Access Problems.

    Hi, I have a flash .swf file that I embed on my webpage. On my server I have the .swf file and multiple image folders. I would like to load every file in one of those folders into the flash slideshow. How should I go about doing this? I tried used Air but it doesn't work on my system as an application so I doubt it will work online. Eventually I plan on making a menu where you can select different folders to display and since they are of different sizes, a foreach loop would be optimal. Keeping a txt file with the number of images is also possible if theres a way to read that in, but I would prefer the more dynamic approach. I am working towards using php for the website if that helps find a solution. Thanks, -Mike Also my slideshow works great online currently but i have to hardcode in the number of files.

    Hi All, I am performing file operations (writeToFile) which fetches the data from a xml and writes into a output file(a1.txt). I have around 250 lines to write.. Is any better way to perform this task. I want to reduce this hdrOutputFile and use a buffer to do this. Please guide me how to do that action.   • How to generate random numbers of lognormal distribution within specific range in Matlab

    My grain sizes are defined as D=[1.19,1.00,0.84,0.71,0.59,0.50,0.42]. The problem is described below in steps. Grain sizes should follow lognormal distribution. The mean of the grain sizes is fixed as 0.84 and the standard deviation should be as low as possible but not zero. 90% of the grains (by weight %) fall in the size range of 1.19 to 0.59, and the rest 10% fall in size range of 0.50 to 0.42. Now I want to find the probabilities (weight percentage) of the grains falling in each grain size. It is allowable to split this grain size distribution into further small sizes but it must always be in the range of 1.19 and 0.42, i.e. 'D' can be continuous but 0.42 < D < 1.19. I need it fast. I tried on my own but I am not able to get the correct result. I am getting negative probabilities (weight percentages). Thanks to anyone who helps. I didn't incorporate the point 3 as I came to know about that condition later. Same is the case if I debug the process call GetFileEffectiveRights once, pause the process,change the ACL through windows API, and resume and call GetFileEffectiveRights again(the 1st call succeeds but the second gives 1336.) What is going wrong?

    Just like many things in rails, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't... Showing app/views/admin/products/_variant.html.erb where line #8 raised: undefined local variable or method `variant_counter' for #<ActionView::Base:0x107f7ae10> I only want to display variant_counter from partial _variant. This was the render caller code: <%= render :partial => '/admin/products/variant', :collection => product.variants %> The funny thing is, I have been using partial counter heaps number of times, somehow now I encountered this issue. Could anybody point me out what are there to find out what may went wrong?

  • Trying to build a dynamic PHP mysql_query string to update a row and getting back the updated row

    I have a form that jQuery tracks the onChage .change() event so when something is changed it runs a ajax request and i pass in the column, id, and the values in the url. Here i have the PHP code that should update the data. My question is now how do i build the mySQl string dynamically. and how do i echo back the changes/updates that where just changed on the db.   • Making a vertically scrolling parent div which does not cause overflow of children

    I have something as follows: <div style="float: left; height: 20px; overflow-y: scroll"> <div>hello this is a test</div> <div>hello this is another test</div> <div>t1</div> <div>t2</div> <div>t3</div> </div> The parent div grows to the appropriate width to fit the largest child (which is what I want). However, the vertical scrollbar causes the inner width to be smaller, which causes the largest child to wrap. Is there a way to get the parent to grow to the width of the largest child + the width of the scroll bar? I've tried every margin trick I know, but nothing.

  • Delphi - working with dll's for beginners

    Hi there, I'm a total newbie regarding to DLL. And I don't need to creat them I just need to use one. I've read some tutorials, but they weren't as helpful as I hoped. Here's the way I started: I've downloaded the SDK which I need to use (ESTOS Tapi Server). I read in the docs and spotted out the DLL which I need to use, which is the ENetSN.dll, and so I registered it. Next I've used the Dependency Walker to take a look at the DLL - and I was wondering because there are only these functions: DllCanUnloadNow, DllGetClassObject, DllRegisterServer and DllUnregisterServer, and these are not the functions mentioned in the docs. I think I have to call DllGetClassObject to get an object out of the DLL with which I can start to work. Unfortunately the tutorials I found doesn't mentioned how this is done (or I didn't understood it). There are also 3 exmaples delivered for VB and C++, but I wasn't able to 'translate' them into delphi. If somebody knows a tutorial where this is explained or could give me a pointer to the right direcetion, I would be very thankful .
