  • Dock=>Fill a control in FlowLayoutPanel

    - by serhio
I have a UserControl in which a FlowLayoutPanel. This user control consist of a description and some controls: [descr.] 123456789, it should be able to be reversed 987654321 [descr.] So FlowLayoutPanel is used for this scope(RightToLeft - True/False). Is this a way that the label1 fill the rest of the control(to left or right respectively)?

  • IHttpModule not being applied to virtual directory

    - by arthurdent510
I have a network folder that is mapped to my iis app as a virtual directory and I'm trying to do some authentication for files that are located there with an ihttpmodule. I've verified that the ihttpmodule is firing properly for anything else in my app, just not the files located in virtual directory. Most of what I've found is that the directory can't be listed as an application (which it isn't), and everything should work. The other solution that I found was to add the the module tag to the tag, but that didn't seem to help either. Everything that I've found talks about stopping this from happening. So my question is what could be set that is causing this to not work? Is there a certain execute permission that needs to be set? Any other iis settings that could cause this? It is an mvc app, and this is how my directory structure is laid out: server/app <- my application folder server/app/content/downloads <- downloads is the virtual directory Do I have to add the virtual directory directly under my app directory? Is that part of the problem? I don't have direct control of the server my code is running on, so testing things out is a bit of a pain... so I was looking for some more thoughts before starting to send emails off to my operations people. Thanks!

  • Oracle vocabulary, what is the mysql/SQL Server equivalent of a database

    - by jeph perro
Hi, I need some help with vocabulary, I don't use Oracle that often but I am familiar with MySQL and SQL Server. I have an application I need to upgrade and migrate, and part of the procedure to do that involves exporting to an XML file, allowing the installer to create new database tables, then import to the new database tables from the XML file. In Oracle, my database connection specifies a username, password, and an SID. Let's call the SID, "COMPANY-APPS". This SID contains tables belonging to several applications, each of which connects with a different user ( "WIKIUSER", "BUGUSER", "TIMETRACKERUSER" ). My question is: Can I re-use the same user to create the new tables ( with the same names ). In MySQL or SQL Server, I would create a new database and grant my user privileges to create tables in it. OR, do I need to create a new database user for my upgraded tables?

  • Hotkey to preview in browser in second monitor while still keeping focus in editor?

    - by Tony_Henrich
I use two monitors. The second one has a browser open. I use Visual studio in the first monitor and making edits to the web page. Would love to press a key and instantly see the change in the browser. Basically doing a refresh in the browser behind the scene and still keep window focus in the editor. Instead of keep switching to the browser, refresh, switch back to VS. Any better ideas than using a keyboard recorder like AutoPilot?

  • ODUG lands DotNetNuke guru Nik Kalyani as a speaker

    - by Brian Scarbeau
If you are in the Orlando, FL area during the first week of May then you should head over to the Orlando DotNetNuke user group meeting. Nik Kalyani will be the speaker and you will learn a great deal from him. DotNetNuke Module Development with the MVP Pattern This session focuses on introducing attendees to the Model-View-Presenter pattern, support for which was recently introduced in the DotNetNuke Core. We'll start with a quick overview of the pattern, compare it to MVC, and then dive right into code. We will start with fundamentals and then develop a full-featured module using this pattern. In order to do justice to the pattern, we will use ASP.NET WebForms controls minimally and implement most of the UI using jQuery plug-ins. Finally, to increase audience participation (both present at the meeting and remote), we will use a hackathon-style model and allow anybody, anywhere to follow along with the presentation and code their own MVP-based solution that they can share online during or after the session. A URL with full instructions for the hackathon will be posted online a few days prior to the meeting. About Our Speaker Nik Kalyani is Co-founder and Strategic Advisor for DotNetNuke Corp., the company that manages the DotNetNuke Open Source project. Kalyani is also Founder and CEO of HyperCrunch. He is a technology entrepreneur with over 18 years of experience in the software industry. He is irrationally exuberant about technology, especially if it has anything to do with the Internet. HyperCrunch is his latest startup business that builds on his knowledge and experience from prior startups, two of them venture-funded. Kalyani is a creative tinkerer perpetually interested in looking around the corner and figuring out new and interesting ways to make the world a better place. An experienced web developer, he finds the business strategy and marketing aspects of the software business more exciting than writing code. When he does create software, his primary expertise is in creating products with compelling user experiences. Kalyani is most proficient with Microsoft technologies, but has no religious fanaticism about them. Kalyani has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Western Michigan University. He is a frequent speaker at technology conferences and user group meetings. He lives in Mountain View, California with his wife and daughters. He blogs at http://www.kalyani.com and is @techbubble on Twitter.

  • Getting a redirect in gmail/google apps in Google Documents

Good afternoon, For some reason when I try to download documents from google docs in both my standard gmail account and my work's google apps, it goes into a redirect. • CRM Magazine: Customer-Facing Life Sciences CRM

    - by charles.knapp
"The Life Sciences Edition, Lye says, is unique in that to-date pharma software has been inward facing. The Oracle pharma solution, however, is a tool that can be used internally for salespeople to assess their effectiveness, but it can also be used in interacting with a physician or whoever the "customer" might be. The solution captures signatures digitally and provides tools for rapid presentation creation. "That's something I have never heard of before in terms of having the CRM product for the customer view as well as the employee view," Leary says. "When it comes to the area of pharma sales, [sales people] don't have a lot of time in front of doctors .... so this is a way to spend less time in front of the doctor and still be able to get the information and the sentiment and the story across." • Need help with Excel 2007 Formula - Many to many update

    - by Monica
I'm experienced with database development, but not so much with Excel. I'm looking for help writing an Excel formula that would help my client's spreadsheet behave like a database. This is what I'm looking to do, but I can't figure out how to write it in Excel 2007: "If Q4 (on sheet 2) contains A2 (on sheet 1), append A1 (on sheet 1) with Q5 (on sheet 2)" Some factors: 1) This formula may find multiple instances of A2, so it should not stop after finding the first match 2) The values, as they are created in A1, should be separated with comma and space 3) This is a many to many relationship between Q4 and A2 Thanks for any help with this. I've tried vlookups, match, if statements, but they all fall short in one way or another.

  • How to change the font size in table cells according to cells content ?

    - by misha-moroshko
I have an HTML table which has incrementing numbers starting from 0 in its cells (left to right, up to bottom). I fixed in CSS the width and the height of the cells (40px width, 25px height, in my case). When the table becomes larger, the numbers inside it becomes large also (for example, the last number is 1266356). This causes the cells to be wider than I defined in the CSS, which expands the whole table accordingly. Instead, I would like the font of the numbers to be smaller to keep the width of the cell 40px. How can I accomplish this using CSS / Javascript / jQuery ?

  • Do WPF ComboBox SelectedIndex and SelectedValue have different behavior on SelectionChanged event?

    - by Junior Mayhé
Hello guys I got this cbxJobPosition_SelectionChanged firing as expected. The problem is when a external method tries to set cbxJobPosition. cbxJobPosition is databinded with a list of objects of type JobPosition: JobPositionID: 1, JobPositionName: Manager JobPositionID: 2, JobPositionName: Employee JobPositionID: 3, JobPositionName: Third party Here's the XAML: <ComboBox Cursor="Hand" DataContext="{Binding}" ItemsSource="{Binding}" FontSize="13" Name="cbxJobPosition" SelectedValuePath="JobPositionID" DisplayMemberPath="JobPositionName" SelectedIndex="0" Width="233" Height="23" SelectionChanged="cbxJobPosition_SelectionChanged" /> On UserControl_Loaded method, it reads from database the list of jobs and try to set the specific job position "Third party": //calls cbxJobPosition_SelectionChanged and passes the correct SelectedValue within cbxJobPosition.SelectedIndex = 3; //calls cbxJobPosition_SelectionChanged and but won't pass the correct SelectedValue within cbxJobPosition.SelectedValue = "3"; As you can notice, when the processing is automatically redirected to cbxJobPosition_SelectionChanged, the SelectedValue attribute will have different values for each statement above when you're debugging within cbxJobPosition_SelectionChanged event. Does anyone know if this difference is expected, am I missing something or it could be a bug?

  • Securing an ajax request

    - by asdasdsa
i have a website that uses session cookies for security. it works fine and all, but any ajax requests right now are not secure. example being lets say a user is on a page. they can only get to this page if they are logged in with a session - so far so good. but now the ajax request they ask for is ajaxpages/somepage.php?somevar=something&anothervar=something if any other user decides to just go to that link themselves (without a session) they still get the same ajax output that was meant for logged in people. so obviously im going to have to pass session data across when i send an ajax request. anyone have any tips for the best way of doing this? ive never done this before and would rather use trusted methods than make up my own.

  • not autolinking all-numeric twitter hashtags in perl?

    - by all_numeric_no_hash
I'm producing HTML from twitter search results. Happily using the Net::Twitter module :-) One of the rules in Twitter is that all-numeric hashtags are not links. This allows to unambiguously tweet things like "ur not my #1 anymore", as in here: http://twitter.com/natarias2007/status/11246320622 The solution I came up with looks like: $tweet =~ s{#([0-9]*[A-Za-z_]+[0-9]*)}{<a href="http://twitter.com/search?q=%23$1">#$1</a>}g; It seems to work (let's hope), but I'm still curious... how would you do it?
