  • How do I handle dojo datagrid cell updates so I can post them back automatically to the server?

    I am using dojo datagrid to display my data. When the end user edit the cell values it should be updated in the server using ajax calls(when the focus goes out of the cell). Else, I should have a Edit & update/cancel buttons for each row to handle the same feature. But I don know how to place edit & update buttons inside the grid and capture their events. By default dojo updates only local the store value(client side). how can I save the updated cell values into the server? do we need to write any override methods to do so?? I am new to dojo. Any detailed explanation or sample codes would be much appreciated. Could anyone lend a hand to solve this issue?? Thank you Regards, Raj

The page and q values are ".$rowq[page]." and ".$rowq[questions]." respectively."; And that link of text would appear how however many rows the array has in it. Any and all advice appreciated - I'm struggling like heck to get my head around multi-dimensional arrays :( Homer.

  • Problem saving file on Motorola Droid, Android 2.1?

    Two of my users have reported a problem with my Android application, OftSeen Gestures. Both of them are using a Motorola Droid. The app saves a text file which is just a list of gesture names and phone numbers, both strings. It saves the file to the private data area. I don't know that it is this code that is failing but they report the assigned numbers disappearing after the phone comes out of screen sleep. Since the file is reread in OnCreate each time, I'm assuming the file doesn't exist on return. As soon as I can get my hands on a Droid I will debug it but in the meantime can you see a reason why this save operation would fail on Droid (no other users have reported this)? "" : number)); } out.close(); AppGlobal.getContext returns the application context and the MAPPINGS_FILE_NAME resolves to "gesture_mappings.txt". Like I say, I don't know that this is the problem. It could be something else to do with state management inside the app. If anyone has a Droid, maybe they could download the app from Market and test it for me? Note this is a genuine request for help - not an attempt to increase my downloads.

  • avoiding the tedium of optional parameters

    If I have a constructor with say 2 required parameters and 4 optional parameters, how can I avoid writing 16 constructors or even the 10 or so constructors I'd have to write if I used default parameters (which I don't like because it's poor self-documentation)? Are there any idioms or methods using templates I can use to make it less tedious? (And easier to maintain?)

  • A regex to match a comma that isn't surrounded by quotes.

    I'm using Clojure, so this is in the context of Java regexes. Here is an example string: "{:a "ab,cd, efg", :b "ab,def, egf,", :c "Conjecture"}" The important bits are the commas after each string. I'd like to be able to replace them with newline characters with Java's replaceAll method. A regex that will match any comma that is not surrounded by quotes will do. If I'm not coming across well, please ask and I'll be happily to clarify anything. edit: sorry for the confusion in the title. I haven't been awake very long. String: {:a "ab, cd efg",} <-- In this example, the comma at the end would be matched, but the ones inside the quote would not.

  • Filter large amounts of data in a table w/ jQuery

    I work for a transit agency and I have large amounts of data (mostly times), and I need a way to filter the data using two textboxes (To and From). I found jQuery quick search, but it seems to only work with one textbox. If anyone has any ideas via jQuery or some other client side library, that would be fantastic. Ideal example: To: [Textbox] From:[Textbox] <table> <tr> <td>69th street</td><td>5:00pm</td><td>5:06pm</td><td>5:10pm</td><td>5:20pm</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Millbourne</td><td>5:09pm</td><td>5:15pm</td><td>5:20pm</td><td>5:25pm</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Spring Garden</td><td>6:00pm</td><td>6:15pm</td><td>6:20pm</td><td>6:25pm</td> </tr> </table> So If I start typing in one of the stations in the To: textbox it either displays dynamically like the quick search or i have to press a button (either or) and then in the from: textbox. Lastly it shows me to: station and all its times on the left and the from: station and all its times on the right.

  • RadGrid nestedview sort makes nestedview disappear?

    When I click on the header of my detail table, it disappears entirely, leaving empty white space in the browser where it used to be. The Ajax postback caused by my clicking on the header does fire FooGridNeedDataSource and FooGridItemCommand, but I've used the debugger to skip the code inside those handlers (after clicking the header of the column I'm trying to sort, in the detail table), and I still get the same behavior. I'm hoping someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong?     A friend has pointed me to his old website and says "the submit form just stopped working a while ago. I'm sure it's something simple." The form asks a child for a certain word from a book, and based on the answer, it should redirect the child to a success page or a failure page. It's using Javascript 1.2, circa 2001.   • Rails: Showing the latest deploy date in web app.

The minibuffer tells me when i do C-c [ that "No valid bibliography in this document, and no default available".   • ValueConverter not being invoked in DataTemplate binding

    I have a ComboBox that uses a DataTemplate. The DataTemplate contains a binding which uses an IValueConverter to convert an enumerated value into a string. The problem is that the value converter is never invoked.
