    I have a data object that looks like this: { 'node-16': { 'tags': ['cuda'], 'localNodes': [ { 'name': 'nC', 'consumesFrom': ['nA', 'nB'], 'classType': 'VectorAdder.VectorAdder' }, { 'name': 'nB', 'consumesFrom': None, 'classType': 'RandomVector' } ] }, 'node-17': { 'tags': ['boring'], 'localNodes': [ { 'name': 'nA', 'consumesFrom': None, 'classType': 'RandomVector' } ] } } Notice that node nA is a producer for nC. What's the fastest way to find out if a given localNode is a producer for another localnode in the data structure (and not within the same list)? For example, I would like to know that nA (node-17) produces for nC (exists on node-16). But I don't need to know that nB produces for nC, since they exist in the same localNodes list.

    I want to use the f.label method to create my form element labels, however - i want to have the form element nested inside the label. Is this possible? -- From W3C -- To associate a label with another control implicitly, the control element must be within the contents of the LABEL element. In this case, the LABEL may only contain one control element. The label itself may be positioned before or after the associated control.   • C++ std::equal -- rationale behind not testing for the 2 ranges having equal size?

    I just wrote some code to test the behavior of std::equal, and came away surprised: int main() { try { std::list<int> lst1; std::list<int> lst2; if(!std::equal(lst1.begin(), lst1.end(), lst2.begin())) throw std::logic_error("Error: 2 empty lists should always be equal"); lst2.push_back(5); if(std::equal(lst1.begin(), lst1.end(), lst2.begin())) throw std::logic_error("Error: comparing 2 lists where one is not empty should not be equal"); } catch(std::exception& e) { std::cerr << e.what(); } } The output (a surprise to me): Error: comparing 2 lists where one is not empty should not be equal Observation: why is it the std::equal does not first check if the 2 containers have the same size() ? Was there a legitimate reason?

  • Storing ASP.Net MVC Views in the Database

    For an ASP.Net MVC application, I'm interested in storing some views and/or partial views in the database so that a few semi-technical users can do some basic view logic. Does anyone have any tips or lessons from experience on doing this? I know Phil Haack wrote a blog post on this about a year ago. He used IronRuby for scripting his views, (which would be fine for me). He created a quick proof-of-concept, but I can't find any other information on the topic. Any ideas, thoughts, tips, etc would be appreciated. Thanks!

    I have seen similar questions, but the answers currently posted do not work for me.   • Core Data: Mass updates possible?

    Is it possible to do mass updates on a given entity in Core Data? Given an Person entity for example, can I do something like this: Person.update(@"set displayOrder = displayOrder + 1 where displayOrder > 5") Or is my only option to fetch all the entities needed and then loop through and update them individually???   • JJIL Android Java Problem

    Hey Guys, Long time reader never posted until now. Im having some trouble with Android, im implementing a library called JJIL its an open source imaging library. My problem is this i need to run some analysis on an image and to do so i need to have it in jjil.core.image format and once those processes are complete i need to convert the changed image from jjil.core.image to java.awt.image. I cant seem to find a method of doing this does anyone have any ideas or have any experience with this? I would be grateful of any help. Danny

I'd like to have instances of StudentContractClient injected into my classes via StructureMap.   • What web servers use `COOKIE` instead of `HTTP_COOKIE`?

    In the source code of the Perl module CGI.pm, in the submodule CGI::Cookies.pm, there is the following line: $raw_cookie = $ENV{HTTP_COOKIE} || $ENV{COOKIE}; I'm interested in $ENV{COOKIE} here. Are there any web servers (obsolete or otherwise) which transmit cookie information using the COOKIE environment variable instead of the HTTP_COOKIE used by Apache? I've never seen COOKIE and other CGI libraries don't seem to support it.
