  • windows 2008 task scheduled batch file runs forever

    I currently have the following batch running in windows 2008 task scheduler. mysql --user=bobdb --password=letmein --force --named-commands --local-infile=1 --execute="insert into bobdb.attendees (name) values ('bob');insert into bobdb.attendees (name) values ('rick');" It executes nicely when I run it from a command prompt and it executes when I force it to run and it executes when it is scheduled to run. My issue is when it does run, the task scheduler seems to keep it running until it hits a timeout. Is there a command to tell it when it is finished running in the batch file so it doesn't throw a timeout error? thanks in advance

  • how to populate the tables within xmlDataDocument.DataSet

    Hi all: I am working on a C# application that involves using XML schema file as databases for message definitions and XML file as databases for message data. I was following the example I found:http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.xml.xmldatadocument.dataset%28v=VS.100%29.aspx I wrote my own xsd and XML file. I used the same approach in the example, read the xsd file and then load the xml file. But I don't have any "Rows" created for my DataTable. I used debugger to step through my codes. When I am get my DataTable use xmlDataDocument.DataSet.Tables["name of the table"], the Rows property of that tables is 0. Does anybody know what might cause the DataSet tables not get populated after I loaded the xmlDataDocument with XML file?   • c99 goto past initialization

    While debugging a crash, I came across this issue in some code: int func() { char *p1 = malloc(...); if (p1 == NULL) goto err_exit; char *p2 = malloc(...); if (p2 == NULL) goto err_exit; ... err_exit: free(p2); free(p1); return -1; } The problem occurs when the first malloc fails. Because we jump across the initialization of p2, it contains random data and the call to free(p2) can crash. I would expect/hope that this would be treated the same way as in C++ where the compiler does not allow a goto to jump across an initialization. My question: is jumping across an initialization allowed by the standard or is this a bug in gcc's implementation of c99?

    I just heard about BDD when I watch video of Scott Guthrie in Sweden. One of listener asked question to Scott about How VS2010 and ASP.NET MVC do to support BDD. After that, I search about BDD (Behavior Driven Development) that focus on specification more than unit testing when compares with TDD (Test Driven Development). I found some framework that work with Ruby and Java. But I do not any famous framework for .NET. Please suggest me about BDD framework and summary PROs/CONs of it. PS. Lets say the jar files are OfflineScriptSupport.jar and *MyContext.jar". mycontext.spring.xml is put at the root of the jar. In a Jython script (*myscript.jy"), I try to call the initialize method to create the application context: from com.offlinesupport import OfflineScriptSupport OfflineScriptSupport.initialize(); I execute the Jython script with the following command (from Linux): jython -Dpython.path=spring.jar:OfflineScriptSupport.jar:MyContext.jar myscript.jy The Springframework application context cannot find the mycontext.spring.xml file.   • PyGTK: Doubleclick on CellRenderer

    Hello! In my PyGTK application I currently use 'editable' to make cells editable. But since my cell contents sometimes are really really large I want to ask the user for changes in a new window when he doubleclicks on a cell. But I could not find out how to hook on double-clicks on specific cellrenderers - I don't want to edit the whole row and I also don't want to set this callback for the whole row, only for columns where too long content can occur. How can I do this with CellRendererText() or something similar. My currently cell-generating code is: cols[i] = gtk.TreeViewColumn(coltitle) cells[i] = gtk.CellRendererText() cols[i].pack_start(cells[i]) cols[i].add_attribute(cells[i], 'text', i) cols[i].set_sizing(gtk.TREE_VIEW_COLUMN_FIXED) cols[i].set_fixed_width(100) cells[i].set_property('editable', True) cells[i].connect('edited', self.edited, (i, ls)) cols[i].set_resizable(True) mytreeview.append_column(cols[i]) Thanks!

  • Visio 2010 Reverse Engineer Oracle

    I have used Visio 2007 in the past to reverse engineer Oracle databases to get a flow scheme. I believe all Office 2007 products were x86 as well which is where I suspect my issue currently lies. I have since upgraded to Visio 2010 x64 and when I go to reverse engineer something from Oracle it shows up under Installed Visio Drivers but I can't seem to create a data source using it. My assumption here is it is because Oracle doesn't play nicely with x64 and with Visio being compiled as x64 I don't even get the option to use it. Has anyone done this with Visio 2010 x64 and Oracle yet? Or are there other tools you would recommend to reverse engineer and get a model such as the one generated by Visio?

    I need to be able to PUT files and GET them later using nothing but HTTP, so I went searching for something that might match the terms "REST file server" or "HTTP file server" or "REST drop-box", etc. Unfortunately, these terms bring up the wrong kind of results on Google. What I want is the equivalent of an SMB fileshare over HTTP. Some ideal features: Can PUT a file of any type at http://servername/service/any/path/I/want/document.pdf Anyone with access can GET that file at the URL I PUT it at Supports AV scanning on any new file that has been PUT Supports DELETE of existing resources (files) Our shop runs Windows, but I'd be interested to know about Unix software that can do this kind of thing, too. It's to be used in an IT department for private users only. It won't be on a public-facing IP address. Does anything like this exist?

  • What are problems and pitfalls with a public facing Active Directory

    The situation that i'm faced with is this: We plan on using a number of server applications hosted on Amazon EC2 machines, mainly Microsoft Team Foundation Server. These services rely heavily on Active Directory. Since our servers are in the Amazon cloud it should go without saying (but I will) that all our users are remote. It seems that we can't setup VPN on our EC2 instance -- so the users will have to join the domain, directly over the internet then they'll be able to authenticate and once authenticated, use that token for accessing resources such as TFS. on the DC instance, I can shut down all ports, except those needed for joining/authenicating to the domain. I can also filter the IP on that machine to just those address that we are expecting our users to be at (it's a small group) On the web based application servers, I imagine all we need to open is port 80 (or 8080 in the case of TFS) One of the problems that I'm faced with is what domain name to use for this Active directory. Should I go with "ourDomainName.com" or "OurDomainName.local" If I choose the latter, does that not mean that I'll have to get all our users to change their DNS address to point to our server, so it can resolve the domain name (I guess I could also distribute a host file) Perhaps there is another alternative that I'm completely missing.

  • How can you use jQuery to make sIFR-replaced elements fade in?

    This is what I currently have: // #content is visibility=hidden sIFR.replace(mix_bold, { selector: '#content p', onReplacement: function(fi) { $('#content').fadeIn("slow"); } }); The fade in happens, but for a split second the replaced flash movie appears before being hidden. Has anyone gotten this to work? I am using jQuery 1.2.6 and sIFR 3 r436. Tested in Safari 4 and FF 3. Thanks!

  • Why aren't unsigned OpenMP index variables allowed?

    I have a loop in my C++/OpenMP code that looks like this: #pragma omp parallel for for(unsigned int i=0; i<count; i++) { // do stuff } When I compile it (with Visual Studio 2005) I get the following error: error C3016: 'i' : index variable in OpenMP 'for' statement must have signed integral type I understand that the error occurs because i is unsigned instead of signed, and changing i to be signed removed this error. What I want to know is why is this an error? Why aren't unsigned index variables allowed? Looking at the MSDN page for this error gives me no clues.
