  • Tweet blender takes a long time to show tweets

    On my wordpress site I have tweet blender plugin to show twitter tweets. Everything is ok except for some resason it takes a long time to show the tweets on my site. When tweet it takes anything between 15-70 minutes to show on my site. Any idea why is that? Everything should setted right.

    http://ec2-54-243-161-225.compute-1.amazonaws.com/shop/product-category/dark-horse/ If you click on any of the products on this page you'll notice it either takes a minute or more to load or it doesn't load at all. I have about 11,000 products in the database each with about 3 images attached to them, the database is about 108mbs in size. Any suggestions on fixing this speed issue? Thank you in advance!

  • Are there any Acrobat plugins or standalone programs that allow one to select and extract individual

    We use BCL Jade currently but are running into problems because it isn't supported or sold anymore, doesn't work on Acrobat 8 or 9, and has some other issues. Other than that though it works great! :) Is there anything like it that allows users to select zones to extract? I see a simaler question on here and and an answer that suggests this http://pdftohtml.sourceforge.net/ but ideally we would want something nonprogrammers could use.

The only thing that annoys me: IE8 keeps asking me "this web site wants to install Adobe Flash Player", and I want to get rid of this question. I don't want to install it, not now, not ever.     Hello, I setup a Turnkey Trac virtual machine and am trying to set up the LdapPlugin to use use authentication through a local Active Directory. I tried using easy_install http://trac-hacks.org/svn/ldapplugin/ to install it and it claimed to have completed, however when I go to the Admin page and go to plugins, it is not listed. I have never setup a Turnkey server like this before and was wondering in which directory the Trac plugins are located on the Turnkey-linux machine? Thanks, Tomek

  • openQRM nagios password reset

    Right so, basically the story is that to test a XenServer environment from citrix I deployed a openQRM install from SVN to a ubuntu 10.4 install (on a ESX Environment) All went well installs, I can connect to it, but I can't seem to access the nagios plug in. Every time i wish to go to it i'm asked for a pw, and if I input the pw I wrote down yesterday it just doesn't let me in. I'm trying to reset the password on the nagios plug in now but for the life of me can't find it. Googled high and low for a defenitive working solution but so far no luck.     I have a munin-master and munin-node installed on same server (Ubuntu 9.10 server). Most pre-installed plugins work well but the following plugins are with blank graph: Memcached bytes used Memcached connections Memcached cache hits and misses Memcached cached items Memcached requests Memcached network traffic MySQL Queries Cache Size I run the following 3 script in terminal and results were ok. /etc/munin/plugins/memcached_bytes /etc/munin/plugins/memcached_counters /etc/munin/plugins/memcached_rates But when I tried the command below after "telnet localhost 4949" fetch memcached_bytes # Unknown service etch memcached_bytes_ # timeout pid 28009 - killing...done Does anyone know the reason?

  • What's the best Flash Blocker for the Chrome Browser on a Mac?

    Looking at the extensions gallery for Chromium there seems to be a number fo flash-blocking extensions available: A couple with very similar names even. I've been using ClicktoFlash in Safari and am used to it just flat out working everywhere. Unfortunately after using FlashBlock by Ruzanow for a bit I've noticed it gets a bit "Hinky" at times (blocking the flash by collapsing the div so you can't click to enable it, etc.) I have a feeling there may be some other extensions/scripts out there not listed above that are better. Ultimately I'd like to find a flash blocker that works as well as ClickToFlash does in Safari.

    We all know why Java does/should not have multiple inheritance. So this is not questioning about what has already been debated till-cows-come-home. This discusses what we would do when we wish to create a class that has the characteristics of two or more other classes. Probably, most of us would do this to "inherit" from three classes. For simplicity, I left out the constructor.: class Car extends Vehicle { final public Transport transport; final public Machine machine; } So that, Car class directly inherits methods and objects of Vehicle class, but would have to refer to transport and machine explicitly to refer to objects instantiated in Transport and Machine. Car car = new Car(); car.drive(); // from Vehicle car.transport.isAmphibious(); // from Transport car.machine.getCO2Footprint(); // from Machine I thought this was a good idea until when I encounter frameworks that require setter and getter methods. For example, the XML <Car amphibious='false' footPrint='1000' model='Fordstatic999'/> would look for the methods setAmphibious(..), setFootPrint(..) and setModel(..). Therefore, I have to project the methods from Transport and Machine classes class Car extends Vehicle { final public Transport transport; final public Machine machine; public void setAmphibious(boolean b){ this.transport.setAmphibious(b); } public void setFootPrint(String fp){ this.machine.setFootPrint(fp); } } This is OK, if there were just a few characteristics. Right now, I am trying to adapt all of SmartGWT into GWT UIBinder, especially those classes that are not a GWT widget. There are lots of characteristics to project. Wouldn't it be nice if there exists some form of annotation framework that is like this: class Car extends Vehicle @projects {Transport @projects{Machine @projects Guzzler}} { /* No need to explicitly instantiate Transport, Machine or Guzzler */ .... } Where, in case of common names of characteristics exist, the characteristics of Machine would take precedence Guzzler's, and Transport's would have precedence over Machine's, and Vehicle's would have precedence over Transport's. The annotation framework would then instantiate Transport, Machine and Guzzler as hidden members of Car and expand to break-out the protected/public characteristics, in the precedence dictated by the @project annotation sequence, into actual source code or into byte-code. Preferably into byte-code. So that the setFootPrint method is found in both Machine and Guzzler, only that of Machine's would be projected. Questions: Don't you think this is a good idea to have such a framework? Does such a framework already exist? Tell me where/what. Is there an eclipse plugin that does it? Is there a proposal or plan anywhere that you know about such an annotation framework? It would be wonderful too, if the annotation/plugin framework lets me specify that boolean, int, or whatever else needs to be converted from String and does the conversion/parsing for me too.   • I need advices: small memory footprint linux mail server with spam filtering

    I have a VPS which is originally destined to be a webserver but some minimal mail capabilities are needed to be deployed as well, including sending and receiving as standalone server. The current setup is the following: Postfix reveices the mail, the users are in virtual tables, stored in MySQL on connection all servers are tested with policyd-weight service against some DNSBLs all mail is runs through SpamAssassin spamd with the help of spamc client the mail is then delivered with Dovecot 2' LDA (local delivery agent), virtual users as well As you saw... there's no virus scanner running, and that's for a reason: clamav eats all the memory possible and also, virus mails are all filtered out with this setup (I've tested the same with ClamAV enabled for 1,5 years, no virus mail ever got even to ClamAV) I don't use amavisd and I really don't want to. You only need that monster if you have plenty of memory and lots of simultaneous scanners. It's also a nightmare to fine tune by hand. I run policyd-weight instead of policyd and native DNSBLs in postfix. I don't like to send someone away because a single service listed them. Important statement: everything works fine. I receive very small amount of spam, nearly never get a false positive and most of the bad mail is stopped by policyd-weight. The only "problem" that I feel the services at total uses a bit much memory alltogether. I've already cut the modules of spamassassin (see below), but I'd really like to hear some advices how to cut the memory footprint as low as possible, mostly: what plugins SpamAssassin really needs and what are more or less useless, regarding to my current postfix & policyd-weight setup?   • Emacs/Vim/Vi - do they have a place in modern software development ecosystem? [closed]

    Watching all those screencasts (and listening all those podcasts) with more-or-less famous hackers/programmers I hear that many of those use emacs/vi(m) for their daily work. Now, I myself tried using both emacs and vim, and I honestly cannot understand why would anybody use these for any kind of serious development. The most advertised feature is something along the lines of "you'll be able to work with text (meaning cutting, pasting, duplicating, moving, etc) up to ten times faster than with conventional IDEs", but I don't buy that. When has the success of a software project been defined by how fast a programmer can juggle lines in a text editor or by saving a couple of keystrokes here and there? Plugins and extensions? I bet nothing comes close to R# or IDEA in terms of refactoring support ("Rename" refactoring implemented by means of "Search and Replace" is not a refactoring IMO); others are trivial. Ubiquitous and available everywhere? So what? How often do you find yourself editing files over a 300 baud connection on an esoteric *nix installation without a VCS? So here goes: do said editors have a justified place in a modern software development ecosystem?
