    - by BenYL
We are designing an internal system that will have a .NET PC base station and many Android mobiles, communicating over WiFi. Can't decide between SOAP or XML-RPC protocol. Primary concerns are maturity, compatibility, and the minimizing of coding/integration, in that order. Which is best? Ben

  • Why do ASP.NET applications appear to be running in a terminal server session?

    - by Heinzi
Running the following ASPX page (IIS 6, Server 2003 R2) <%@ Page Language="vb" AutoEventWireup="false" %> <% Response.Write("Am I running in a terminal server session: " & _ System.Windows.Forms.SystemInformation.TerminalServerSession) %> yields the following output: Am I running in a terminal server session: True Why? IIS is running as a service, not as a Terminal Services application... (BTW, according to Reflector, SystemInformation.TerminalServerSession is just a wrapper for GetSystemMetrics(SM_REMOTESESSION).)

  • How to populate object dependencies with routing bapi

    - by Ben V
I'm using BAPI_ROUTING_CREATE to interface routing creation/changes from an external system. There doesn't seem to be a way to pass VC object dependencies for each operation. Does anyone know of a way to programmatically update object dependencies? I'd prefer to avoid BDCs if possible.

  • Easiest PHP Shopping Cart to Skin

    - by ericofsac
After frustration with installing custom designed skins for ZenCart, I was wondering which, if any, of the PHP shopping carts out there have a good templating system that makes it easy (or easier) to install custom designs?

    - by bjorn geez
Hi all, I've got a core data-based app for iPhone and I'm getting the following warning: objc[2472]: Class Property is implemented in both /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Notes.framework/Notes and /var/mobile/Applications/B69194FF-448F-48AD-A78D-DDB8935F/AmcCalc.app/AmcCalc. One of the two will be used. Which one is undefined. When I started working on this app back with SDK 3.0 I didn't get this error, so how do I deal with this? Thanks! Bjorn

  • Python memory leaks

    - by Fragsworth
I have a long-running script which, if let to run long enough, will consume all the memory on my system. Without going into details about the script, I have two questions: Are there any "Best Practices" to follow, which will help prevent leaks from occurring? What techniques are there to debug memory leaks in Python?

  • How to do things within a windows service?

    - by Kovu
Hi, I have an application, written by me in C#.net 2.0 - when the application is opened, a timer will check every 3 seconds for x. If x happens, it shows a warning in a windows form. Is there a possibility to install this timer and the windows form call in a windows-service? So that the timer ticks every time a system is up and shows the message then?

  • Eclipse Plugin that Opens a Command Line in Eclipse

    - by Jonas Laufu
I'm looking for an Eclipse plug-in that shows a system (independent) command line in a view that is ideally synchronized with the current project's local path. So basically a shell within Eclipse. The reason for this is to be able to execute custom build commands and script faster than specifying them as launch configurations or having to open a command prompt every time I start eclipse.

  • What does jailbreak do to the iPhone technically?

    - by Thomas

I know HOW to jailbreak, but I want to know specifically what it does to the system. I've been looking for info about it, but can't find anything solid. If anyone knows or can point me to resources, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks! Thomas

  • Maven:install jar file during build process

    - by Venkata
I have got a requirement as follows. I need to run ant build file during maven build process. I need to invoke the build.xml from my pom.xml file. I have done that using maven-antrun-plugin. Now I need to install the ant build generated jar file automatically into my local repository before maven compiles my project source. I tried using build-helper-maven-plugin but it did not help. Either I am doing something wrong, or i am not doing right. Please help. Update Thank you. ant maven tasks worked for me as well. However I am runing into the following exception at the end of the build process. • ASP.NET access a folder as ASPNET even though impersonation is set

    - by Ron Harlev
I have my ASP.NET web.config set with impersonation <identity impersonate="true" userName="domainName\userName" password="userPassword" /> I'm running some a method like IO.Directory.GetFiles(somePath) And monitoring the file system access with Process Monitor I keep getting all the access requests from the aspnet_wp.exe process to the folder, as the ASPNET user. Why am I not seeing the access as the impersonated user?
