    I was wondering how to avoid using Windows clipboard, when you want to "replicate" multiple sections of a Word document (using VBA in macros) Why to avoid? Because we're using Word on a server, in a multiuser environment (I know that it is officially frowned upon) Otherwise, this would be easily accomplished with Selection.Copy and Selection.Paste methods.     Hi, I need to sync a local disk to a iSCSI mount on Windows (server 2003), and I'm struggling to find software that's capable of doing so in a reasonable timeframe. Notes on the current 1TB disk: - 800GB currently in use - Contains a folder with several hundred thousand subfolders, which in turn have several thousand files, ... So I'm trying to find a piece of software that can handle such large filelists, and give me a good timeframe on when this will be copied. I've tried DeltaCopy (the rSync GUI client for Windows), but it's intolerably slow and doesn't provide me with a good estimate time remaining. Collections.fill() is written as below : public static <T> void fill(List<? super T> list, T obj) { int size = list.size(); if (size < FILL_THRESHOLD || list instanceof RandomAccess) { for (int i=0; i<size; i++) list.set(i, obj); } else { ListIterator<? super T> itr = list.listIterator(); for (int i=0; i<size; i++) { itr.next(); itr.set(obj); } } } Its easy to understand why they didn't use listIterator for if (size < FILL_THRESHOLD || list instanceof RandomAccess) condition as of RandomAccess. But whats the use of size < FILL_THRESHOLD in above? I mean is there any significant performance benefit over using iterator for size>=FILL_THRESHOLD and not for size < FILL_THRESHOLD ? Instead of denying access, I'd like to prompt the user to elevate permissions with a UAC prompt, but only for this save function (not for the entire application). Is there a way to do this?
