I want to show a fade effect as soon as the element appears on screen. There is a lot of content before this element so if I trigger the efect on document.ready, at certain resolutions the vistors wont´t see it.
Is it possible to trigger an event when, after scrolling down, the element becomes visible?
I am almost sure I have seen this effect before, but have no idea how to achieve it.
Thank you!

I am using Enterprise library 3.1 to log application logs in Windows event logs, and I want to read this log by passing the date parameter.
Please note that I will be accessing the remote machine and the performance should be good. Is there any method that can be used to read these logs using Ent Lib, or please suggest some good method.
I have created a style for a listbox item which shows up the button. I can't fire the click event of a button as the style is kept in resources.xaml. Hoe to fire the click evnt of a button?
Hello,
In most of the videos, I see expert JQuery developers writing complete code for the ready event eg:
$(document).ready(function(){
//.....
});
rather than its shortcut:
$(function(){
//.....
});
Is there any particular down side to using shortcut method?
I'm trying to add a button onclick event to a button tag when I load my Fancybox popup using the following code:
var processOrder = function(id) {
$('#processPopupLink').fancybox({
'hideOnContentClick': false,
'frameWidth': 850,
'frameHeight': 695
}).click();
$('#processComplete').click(function() {
alert('debug');
});
}
However, it's not showing the message box when I click the button, I have no idea why it is not working, any help would be appreciated.
On my main form, I subscribed to two events: Application.ThreadException and Application.Idle. In theory, any exception that is not caught should get bubbled up to the main form. However, this does not work if the exception happens in the OnIdle event. The system just crashes. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Thanks so much.
Can I create an event so I can execute some javascript whenever an element with a specific ID becomes visible or appears on the page?
The element comes from a remote resource (so isn't in MY html code but appears on page load) and I'd like some code to run when it appears (and only if it appears, it may not appear every load).
Thanks!

I am trying to make an AJAX request that updates a div's content when that div is shown. My initial thought was to use an Event observer that watched for a div to be shown, but I cannot seem to find an appropriate handler. Is there an easy way to make an AJAX request for an element 'on show?'
