  • Mac Server bizzare routing table

    - by The Unix Janitor
    My mac routing table usually is very simple. I know it's based on bsd , but what's it doing or trying to do. My routing table is usually very simple however, the second one, default was point to link5 ? Is this normal, or is this IPV6 craziness at work? Can somehelp me understand what OSX/BSD is doing? nternet: Destination Gateway Flags Refs Use Netif Expire default 192.168.1.254 UGSc 22 0 en1 127 127.0.0.1 UCS 0 0 lo0 127.0.0.1 127.0.0.1 UH 4 44102 • Lazy Tables app from iphone

    - by Warrior
    I am new to iphone development. I have parsed a youtube file and displaying its contents with the image in the table view. But the scrolling has become slower because of displaying image.So i want to display the image as the lazy tables program from apple docs.Since they have used navigation based application , their rootviewcontroller loads first and then the delegate class call the parsing ,and when they reload the table view, the contents are displayed. The data array count shows 25. I am using a view controller to display the tables on the present modal view, more over when i run my application, first delegate methods call the parsing. So when i click the youtube icon in my landing page it navigates to table view. So by this time data array count shows 0. I have created table view in interface builder and set the outlets to the file owner properly. Please help me out. I want to increasing the scrolling performance. Thanks.

  • Is the first persistance of an Entity Data Model in EF 4.0 slower due to the connection cost ?

    - by Scott Davies
    Hi, I've got a console app written that persists an object graph via Entity Framework 4.0. I loop through this to dump the execution times for each persistance. The first persistance is always the largest. Is this due to EF making the initial connection to the database and/or JIT'ing ? Here's a sample of the output: Persisted graph in **3318** millseconds. Persisted graph in 25 millseconds. Persisted graph in 26 millseconds. Persisted graph in 22 millseconds. Thanks, Scott

  • How do I sum up weighted arrays in PHP?

    - by christian studer
    Hod do I multiply the values of a multi-dimensional array with weigths and sum up the results into a new array in PHP or in general? The boring way looks like this: $weights = array(0.25, 0.4, 0.2, 0.15); $values = array ( array(5,10,15), array(20,25,30), array(35,40,45), array(50,55,60) ); $result = array(); for($i = 0; $i < count($values[0]); ++$i) { $result[$i] = 0; foreach($weights as $index => $thisWeight) $result[$i] += $thisWeight * $values[$index][$i]; } Is there a more elegant solution?

So each time i move the cell a line is drawn Also i am using the graphics module The graphics module is an object oriented library Im importing from graphics import* from maze import* my circle which is my cell center = Point(15, 15) c = Circle(center, 12) c.setFill('blue') c.setOutline('yellow') c.draw(win) p1 = Point(c.getCenter().getX(), c.getCenter().getY()) this is my loop if mazez.blockedCount(cloc)> 2: mazez.addDecoration(cloc, "grey") mazez[cloc].deadend = True c.move(-25, 0) p2 = Point(getX(), getY()) line = graphics.Line(p1, p2) cloc.col = cloc.col - 1 Now it says getX not defined every time i press a key is this because of p2???

  • SQL select statement

    - by kwokwai
    Hi all, I got a Table which has two fields: Point, and Level, with some sample data as follows: ----------------------- Point | Level ----------------------- 10 | Level 1 20 | Level 2 30 | Level 3 40 | Level 4 Suppose that there is a user who has 25 points, to find the Level in which this user is in, the Select statement I used was: Select Level from Table where Point < 30 AND Point > 20; But the Select SQL ststament is a hard-copy one where you can see the ponts 30 and 20 are fixed. I want to alter the Select statement so that the new SQL Select statement can be applied to all users with different points, but I don't know how to do it.

  • Download attachment issue with IE6-8 - non ssl

    - by Arun P Johny
    I'm facing an issue with file download with IE6-8 in non ssl environment. I've seen a lot of articles about the IE attachment download issue with ssl. As per the articles I tried to set the values of Pragma, Cache-Control headers, but still no luck with it. These are my response headers Cache-Control: private, max-age=5 Date: Tue, 25 May 2010 11:06:02 GMT Pragma: private Content-Length: 40492 Content-Type: application/pdf Content-Disposition: Attachment;Filename="file name.pdf" Server: Apache-Coyote/1.1 I've set the header values after going through some of these sites KB 812935 KB 316431 But these items are related to SSL. I've checked the response body and headers using fiddler, the response body is proper. I'm using window.open(url, "_blank") to download the file, if I change it to window.open(url, "_parent") or change the "Content-Disposition" to 'inline;Filename="file name.pdf"' it works fine. Please help me to solve this problem

  • Ruby on Rails: reducing complexity of parameters in a RESTFul HTTP POST request (multi-model)

    - by randombits
    I'm using cURL to test a RESTFul HTTP web service. The problem is I'm normally submitting a bunch of values normally like this: curl -d "firstname=bob&lastname=smith&age=25&from=kansas&someothermodelattr=val" -H "Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded" http://mysite/people.xml -i The problem with this is my controller will then have code like this: unless params[:firstname].nil? end unless params[:lastname].nil? end // FINALLY @person = People.new(params[:firstname], params[:lastname], params[:age], params[:from]) etc.. What's the best way to simplify this? My Person model has all the validations it needs. Is there a way (assuming the request has multi-model parameters) that I can just do: @person = People.new(params[:person]) and then the initializer can take care of the rest?

  • Linux servers going into Halt when pressing Control-D in putty or exit in the shell

    - by Itai Ganot
    Since today at noon, there's a number of Linux CentOS servers which are going to Halt whenever i type exit or use Control-D to close the putty window. Did anyone encounter this weird behavior before? I've checked the aliases list on the servers and there is no alias regarding halt command. After the server came online i've checked the history and saw a "logout" command there but nothing which is related to Halt. At first, i thought it happens only from my computer but later i realized that it happens to everyone which types exit, logout or control+d. 2 of these server are our main iptables firewalls and so it's super critical, your assistance is much appreciated. It looks like that, and it only happens on servers with active IPTables: [root@srv1 bin]# ssh srv2 root@srv2's password: Last login: Sun Nov 11 17:19:41 2012 from 192.168.12.98 [root@srv2 ~]# vim /etc/crontab [root@srv2 ~]# exit logout Broadcast message from root (pts/1) (Tue Nov 13 10:44:04 2012): The system is going down for system halt NOW! Connection to srv2 closed. [root@srv1 bin]# In my troubleshooting steps i came across the command strace, and so i've opened two bash windows to one of the problematic server and i used strace -p PID_of_bash. When i typed in exit in the first shell it did go to halt, attached is the strace output, if you can check it out and tell me if you see anything suspicious i'd be more than thankful. • Django - transactions in the model?

    - by orokusaki
    Models (disregard typos / minor syntax issues. It's just pseudo-code): class SecretModel(models.Model): some_unique_field = models.CharField(max_length=25, unique=True) # Notice this is unique. class MyModel(models.Model): secret_model = models.OneToOneField(SecretModel, editable=False) # Not in the form spam = models.CharField(max_length=15) foo = models.IntegerField() def clean(self): SecretModel.objects.create(some_unique_field=self.spam) Now if I go do this: MyModel.objects.create(spam='john', foo='OOPS') # Obviously foo won't take "OOPS" as it's an IntegerField. #.... ERROR HERE MyModel.objects.create(spam='john', foo=5) # So I try again here. #... IntegrityError because SecretModel with some_unique_field = 'john' already exists. I understand that I could put this into a view with a request transaction around it, but I want this to work in the Admin, and via an API, etc. Not just with forms, or views. How is it possible?

  • Is using decimal ranges in a switch impossible in C#?

    - by phobia
    I'm justing starting out learning C# and I've become stuck at something very basic. For my first "app" I thought I'd go for something simple, so I decided for a BMI calculator. The BMI is calculated into a decimal type which I'm now trying to use in a switch statement, but aparently decimal can't be used in a switch? What would be the C# solution for this: decimal bmi = calculate_bmi(h, w); switch (bmi) { case < 18.5: bmi_description = "underweight."; break; case > 25: bmi_description = "overweight"; case > 30: bmi_description = "very overweight"; case > 40: bmi_description = "extreme overweight"; break; }

  • Virtual Mode List View Click 1 Selects More Than One Items

    - by Samir
    I have a list view with virtual mode set to true and other things. It doing ok. But 1) Say there are 25 items and 15 of them are visible, that is to see the rest of 10 items need to scroll down. 2) Before scrolling swap two items, say myItems[0], it must be visible & myItems[20], it must be not visible scroll required. 3) Now select the first item, it was swapped, you now have two items selected, both 0 indexed and 20 indexed ones. When after swap, those two list view items are of same Position and same Bounds. But before 20-indexed item's Position was (-1, -1) and Bounds was (0,0,0,0). How come 0-indexed item didn't change its position & size? How to solve this ?

  • ANSI SQL question - how to insert or update a record if it already exists?

    - by morpheous
    Although I am using mySQL (for now), I dont want any DB specific SQL. I am trying to insert a record if it doesn't exist, and update a field if it does exist. I want to use ANSI SQL. The table looks something like this: create table test_table (id int, name varchar(16), weight double) ; //test data insert into test_table (id, name, weight) values(1,'homer', 900); insert into test_table (id, name, weight) values(2,'marge', 85); insert into test_table (id, name, weight) values(3,'bart', 25); insert into test_table (id, name, weight) values(4,'lisa', 15); If the record exists, I want to update the weight (increase by say 10)

  • Career path decisions

    - by MindFold
    Hi all, I'm on a verge of quitting my current job as a .NET programmer. i'm 25 years old and have been a .NET programmer in the past 5-6 years, but now i wonder if maybe i should take this opurtunity and try some other things, like RT\Embedded or Driver development. My pro\cons: i love .NET since you can write enterprise systems with it, learn cool development methodologies and practice many patterns i want to learn RT\Embedded\Driver since its at the heart of so many things and i'm feeling this is a black hole for me. My question are: Is making career leaps a good idea? How can i manage to get myself into a job in RT\Embedded as my whole Resume has c# written all over it. What should i bet my cards on this days? android? java? flash? silverlight? etc?
