  • How to read an IIS 6 Website's Directory Structure using WMI?

    I need to read a website's folders using WMI and C# in IIS 6.0. I am able to read the Virtual directories and applications using the "IISWebVirtualDirSetting" class. However the physical folders located inside a website cannot be read using this class. And for my case i need to read sub folders located within a website and later on set permission on them. For my requirement i dont need to work on Virtual Directories/Web Service Applications (which can be easily obtained using the code below..). I have tried to use IISWebDirectory class but it has been useful. Net Application. I need to find out the sub folders of existing websites in a local or remote IIS 6.0 Web Server. So i require a programmatic solution. Precisely if i am pointed at the right class (like IISWebVirtualDirSetting etc ) that i may use for retrieving the list of physical folders within a website then it will be quite helpful. I am not working in Powershell and i don't really need a solution that involves powershell or vbscripts. Any alternative programmatic way of doing the same in C#/ASP.Net will also be highly appreciated.

  • Java OutOfMemory error in filter

    I get a java.lang.outOfMemoryError exception, while writing a big file to the servletOutputStream. Every response is by default wrapped using a ehcache.constructs.web.filter Object for GZIP compression. And as per the logs, the exception is thrown in the Filter object. Is there a way to increase the available memory so, that the outOfMemoryError Exception does not occur ?

  • Mvc4 installer is incompatible with .net 4.5 but .net 4.5 is not installed

    I'm getting the classic 'mvc4 installer is incompatible with .net 4.5' that many others have gotten except I do not have .Net 4.5 installed on this machine. MVC3 projects getting created just fine. I get this error when running the Web Installer for MVC4 Beta. System setup is VS2010 SP1, Windows 7 64-bit, Resharper is installed as well I am at a loss here and now seem to be just wasting time trying to fix this.

    Hi I would like my application to load a webpage and set default the form textfield value a predefine value. Requirements: -The application is a windows form, it is to use the web browser control, to load a web page. -Textfield values are define by within the application. -When textfield on the webpage matches the applications predefined elements, the predefine fixed value is set and can not be changed by the end user. Example If my application defines element "FirstName" equal to value "John", the text field for value for element "FirstName" will always equal "John" and this value can not be changed by the end user.     From all the articles I've read so far about Mochiweb, I've heard this over and over again that Mochiweb provides very good scalability. My question is, how exactly does Mochiweb get its scalability property? Is it from Erlang's inherent scalability properties or does Mochiweb have any additional code that explicitly enables it to scale well? Put another way, if I were to write a simple HTTP server in Erlang myself, with a simple 'loop' (recursive function) to handle requests, would it have the same level scalability as a simple web server built using the Mochiweb framework?

    I'm currently implementing xVal client-side validation. The server-side validation is working correctly at the moment. I have referenced xVall.dll (from xVal1.0.zip) in my project as well as the System.ComponentModel.DataAnnotations and System.web.mvc.DataAnnotations from the Data Annotations Model Binder Sample found at http://aspnet.codeplex.com/releases/view/24471. I have modified the method BindProperty in the DataAnnotationsModelBinder class since it returned a nullpointer exception telling me the modelState object was null. Some blogposts described to modify the method and I did according to this SO post. The strange thing is that it still generates the following script in my View: xVal.AttachValidator(null, {"Fields":[{"FieldName":"ID","FieldRules": [{"RuleName":"DataType","RuleParameters":{"Type":"Integer"}}]}]}, {}) While all the found blogposts on this ( 1, 2 ) but all of those are old posts and all say it should be fixed from xVal 0.8 and up. The last thing I found was this post but I did not really understand. I referenced using Visual Studio - add reference -- browse - selected from my bin dir where I stored the external compiled dlls (copied to the bin dir of my project). Can anyone tell me where the problem originates from?

The entity class has arraylist and on trying to retrieve the data from data base I'm getting the exception: Type 'org.datanucleus.sco.backed.ArrayList' was not included in the set of types which can be serialized by this SerializationPolicy or its Class object could not be loaded. For security purposes, this type will not be serialized. I'm using JPA.     I am designing a simple application using c# and it has a web browser in it. I need to either (preferably) refresh the page that is currently inside the broswer, or navigate to a "new" url. I tried Browser.Url = new Uri("http://www.pandora.com/"); but I get an error when I try to compile it. But the method gives me only 3 properties for each entry. IsFolder Url Last modified date So how can we get 'Modified By' field value.
