  • FileHelpers cannot map converted field into destination array

    - by jaffa
    I have the following record (reduced for brevity): [DelimitedRecord(",")] [IgnoreFirst] [IgnoreEmptyLines()] public class ImportRecord { [FieldQuoted] [FieldTrim(TrimMode.Both)] public string FirstName; [FieldQuoted] [FieldTrim(TrimMode.Both)] public string LastName; [FieldQuoted] [FieldTrim(TrimMode.Both)] [FieldOptional] [FieldConverter(typeof(TestPropertyConverter))] public int[] TestProperty; } Converter code: public class TestPropertyConverter : ConverterBase { public override object StringToField(string from) { var ret = from.Split('|').Select(x => Convert.ToInt32(x)).ToArray(); return ret; } } So an example record could be: John, Smith, 1|2|3|4 It would expect the values 1,2,3,4 to expand and fill the TestProperty array. However, I'm getting the following exception: At least one element in the source array could not be cast down to the destination array type. I've tried to debug into the code and it seems to blow-up in the ExtractFieldValue() function inside FieldBase.cs where it tries to return out of the function. The following line seems to be the culprit: res.ToArray(ArrayType); It seems to expect the 'res' variable to be the destination type array, but it contains 1 element of the array itself. Can anyone suggest if I'm doing this wrong or a possible fix?

  • Android Alert Dialog Extract User Choice Radio Button?

    - by kel196
    Apologies for any coding ignorance, I am a beginner and am still learning! I am creating a quiz app which reads questions off a SQL database and plots them as points on a google map. As the user clicks each point, an alert dialog appears with radio buttons to answer some question. My radiobuttons are in CustomItemizedOverlay file and when I click submit, I want to be able to send the user choice back to the database, save it and return to the user if their answer is correct. My question is this, how do I pass the user choice out once the submit button has been clicked? I tried making a global variable to read what was selected to no avail. Any suggestions would be appreciated! If I need to post any other code, please ask and I will do so ASAP! package uk.ac.ucl.cege.cegeg077.uceskkw; import java.util.ArrayList; import android.app.AlertDialog; import android.content.Context; import android.content.DialogInterface; import android.graphics.drawable.Drawable; import android.widget.Toast; import com.google.android.maps.ItemizedOverlay; import com.google.android.maps.OverlayItem; public class CustomItemizedOverlay2 extends ItemizedOverlay<OverlayItem> { private ArrayList<OverlayItem> mapOverlays = new ArrayList<OverlayItem>(); private Context context; public CustomItemizedOverlay2(Drawable defaultMarker) { super(boundCenterBottom(defaultMarker)); } public CustomItemizedOverlay2(Drawable defaultMarker, Context context) { this(defaultMarker); this.context = context; } @Override protected OverlayItem createItem(int i) { return mapOverlays.get(i); } @Override public int size() { return mapOverlays.size(); } @Override protected boolean onTap(int index) { OverlayItem item = mapOverlays.get(index); // gets the snippet from ParseKMLAndDisplayOnMap and splits it back into // a string. final CharSequence allanswers[] = item.getSnippet().split("::"); AlertDialog.Builder dialog = new AlertDialog.Builder(context); dialog.setIcon(R.drawable.easterbunnyegg); dialog.setTitle(item.getTitle()); dialog.setSingleChoiceItems(allanswers, -1, new DialogInterface.OnClickListener() { public void onClick(DialogInterface dialog, int whichButton) { Toast.makeText(context, "You have selected " + allanswers[whichButton], Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); } }); dialog.setPositiveButton(R.string.button_submit, new DialogInterface.OnClickListener() { public void onClick(DialogInterface dialog, int whichButton) { dialog.dismiss(); // int selectedPosition = ((AlertDialog) // dialog).getListView().getCheckedItemPosition(); Toast.makeText(context, "hi!", Toast.LENGTH_SHORT) .show(); } }); dialog.setNegativeButton(R.string.button_close, new DialogInterface.OnClickListener() { public void onClick(DialogInterface dialog, int whichButton) { dialog.dismiss(); // on cancel button action } }); AlertDialog question = dialog.create(); question.show(); return true; } public void addOverlay(OverlayItem overlay) { mapOverlays.add(overlay); this.populate(); } }

  • Parse lines of integers in C

    - by Jérôme
    This is a classical problem, but I can not find a simple solution. I have an input file like: 1 3 9 13 23 25 34 36 38 40 52 54 59 2 3 9 14 23 26 34 36 39 40 52 55 59 63 67 76 85 86 90 93 99 108 114 2 4 9 15 23 27 34 36 63 67 76 85 86 90 93 99 108 115 1 25 34 36 38 41 52 54 59 63 67 76 85 86 90 93 98 107 113 2 3 9 16 24 28 2 3 10 14 23 26 34 36 39 41 52 55 59 63 67 76 Lines of different number of integers separated by a space. I would like to parse them in an array, and separate each line with a marker, let say -1. The difficulty is that I must handle integers and line returns. Here my existing code, it loops upon the scanf loop (because scanf can not begin at a given position). #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> int main(int argc, char **argv) { if (argc != 4) { fprintf(stderr, "Usage: %s <data file> <nb transactions> <nb items>\n", argv[0]); return 1; } FILE * file; file = fopen (argv[1],"r"); if (file==NULL) { fprintf(stderr, "Error: can not open %s\n", argv[1]); fclose(file); return 1; } int nb_trans = atoi(argv[2]); int nb_items = atoi(argv[3]); int *bdd = malloc(sizeof(int) * (nb_trans + nb_items)); char line[1024]; int i = 0; while ( fgets(line, 1024, file) ) { int item; while ( sscanf (line, "%d ", &item )){ printf("%s %d %d\n", line, i, item); bdd[i++] = item; } bdd[i++] = -1; } for ( i = 0; i < nb_trans + nb_items; i++ ) { printf("%d ", bdd[i]); } printf("\n"); }

  • Is XMLReader a SAX parser, a DOM parser, or neither?

    - by Renesis
    I am testing various methods to read (possibly large, and very often) XML configuration files in PHP. No writing is ever needed. I have two successful implementations, one using SimpleXML (which I know is a DOM parser) and one using XMLReader. I know that a DOM reader must read the whole tree and therefore uses more memory. My tests reflect that. I also know that A SAX parser is an "event-based" parser that uses less memory because it reads each node from the stream without checking what is next. XMLReader also reads from a stream with the cursor providing data about the node it is currently at. So, it definitely sounds like XMLReader (http://us2.php.net/xmlreader) is not a DOM parser, but my question is, is it a SAX parser, or something else? It seems like XMLReader behaves the way a SAX parser does but does not throw the events themselves (in other words, can you construct a SAX parser with XMLReader?) If it is something else, does the classification it's in have a name?

  • Parse string to create a list of element

    - by Nick
    I have a string like this: "\r color=\"red\" name=\"Jon\" \t\n depth=\"8.26\" " And I want to parse this string and create a std::list of this object: class data { std::string name; std::string value; }; Where for example: name = color value = red What is the fastest way? I can use boost. EDIT: This is what i've tried: vector<string> tokens; split(tokens, str, is_any_of(" \t\f\v\n\r")); if(tokens.size() > 1) { list<data> attr; for_each(tokens.begin(), tokens.end(), [&attr](const string& token) { if(token.empty() || !contains(token, "=")) return; vector<string> tokens; split(tokens, token, is_any_of("=")); erase_all(tokens[1], "\""); attr.push_back(data(tokens[0], tokens[1])); } ); } But it does not work if there are spaces inside " ": like color="red 1".

  • PHP or C# script to parse CSV table values to fill in one-to-many table

    - by Yaaqov
    I'm looking for an example of how to split-out comma-delimited data in a field of one table, and fill in a second table with those individual elements, in order to make a one-to-many relational database schema. This is probably really simple, but let me give an example: I'll start with everything in one table, Widgets, which has a "state" field to contain states that have that widget: Table: WIDGET =============================== | id | unit | states | =============================== |1 | abc | AL,AK,CA | ------------------------------- |2 | lmn | VA,NC,SC,GA,FL | ------------------------------- |3 | xyz | KY | =============================== Now, what I'd like to create via code is a second table to be joined to WIDGET called *Widget_ST* that has widget id, widget state id, and widget state name fields, for example Table: WIDGET_ST ============================== | w_id | w_st_id | w_st_name | ------------------------------ |1 | 1 | AL | |1 | 2 | AK | |1 | 3 | CA | |2 | 1 | VA | |2 | 2 | NC | |2 | 1 | SC | |2 | 2 | GA | |2 | 1 | FL | |3 | 1 | KY | ============================== I am learning C# and PHP, so responses in either language would be great. Thanks.

  • Is it valid to have more than one question mark in a URL?

    - by Bungle
    I came across the following URL today: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/inmarin/detail??blogid=122&entry_id=64497 Notice the doubled question mark at the beginning of the query string: ??blogid=122&entry_id=64497 My browser didn't seem to have any trouble with it, and running a quick bookmarklet: javascript:alert(document.location.search); just gave me the query string shown above. Is this a valid URL? The reason I'm being so pedantic (assuming that I am) is because I need to parse URLs like this for query parameters, and supporting doubled question marks would require some changes to my code. Obviously if they're in the wild, I'll need to support them; I'm mainly curious if it's my fault for not adhering to URL standards exactly, or if it's in fact a non-standard URL.

  • Extract information from javascript counter via PHP

    - by Jennifer Weinberg
    Hi, I'm looking for a way to extract some information from this site via PHP: http://www.mycitydeal.co.uk/deals/london There ist a counter where the time left is displayed, but the information is within the JavaScript. Since I'm really a JavaScript rookie, I didn't really know how to get the information. Normally I would extract the information with "preg_match" and some regular expressions. Can someone help me to extract the information (Hrs., Min., Sec.) ? Jennifer

  • jQuery $.getJSON - How do I parse a flickr.photos.search REST API call?

    - by Chad
    Trying to adapt the $.getJSON Flickr example: $.getJSON("http://api.flickr.com/services/feeds/photos_public.gne?tags=cat&tagmode=any&format=json&jsoncallback=?", function(data){ $.each(data.items, function(i,item){ $("<img/>").attr("src", item.media.m).appendTo("#images"); if ( i == 3 ) return false; }); }); to read from the flickr.photos.search REST API method, but the JSON response is different for this call. Click here to see the JSON response. This is what I've done so far: var url = "http://api.flickr.com/services/rest/?method=flickr.photos.search&api_key=9322c53dde3b36bda33f79c16bb99104&tags=yokota+air+base&safe_search=1&per_page=20"; var src; $.getJSON(url + "&format=json&jsoncallback=?", function(data){ $.each(data.photos, function(i,item){ src = "http://farm"+ item.photo.farm +".static.flickr.com/"+ item.photo.server +"/"+ item.photo.id +"_"+ item.photo.secret +"_m.jpg"; $("<img/>").attr("src", src).appendTo("#images"); if ( i == 3 ) return false; }); }); I guess I'm not building the image src correctly. Couldn't find any documentation on how to build the image src, based on what the JSON response is. How do you parse a flickr.photos.search REST API call?

  • Moving ordered elements and adding arbitrary text in Deliverance

    - by Jon Hadley
    Using the following XPath derived rule, I am able to select a list of events from a Plone site (similar to Plone Community events) and display them in my Deliverance themed site: <replace content="//*[@id='parent-fieldname-title' or @class='explain' or @id='parent-fieldname-location' or @id='parent-fieldname-text']" theme="#center-content-to-replace-one" /> However, two separate, but related, problems now rear their heads. I can't work out how to: Re-order elements within the replaced theme, such as moving images originally held within #parent-fieldname-text to before #parent-fieldname-title Put arbitrary text before elements. Such as 'Page Title:' before #parent-fieldname-title I could do both if I was just dealing with one record, as place holders(1) or text before place holders(2) could be specified in the template - but I can't see a away for that template behaviour to repeat across multiple items in one page. (if that is indeed the solution) Is this a job for pyQuery?

  • C# - Parse HTML source as XML

    - by fonix232
    I would like to read in a dynamic URL what contains a HTML file, and read it like an XML file, based on nodes (HTML tags). Is this somehow possible? I mean, there is this HTML code: <table class="bidders" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"> <tr class="bidRow4"> <td>kucik (automata)</td> <td class="right">9 374 Ft</td> <td class="bidders_date">2010-06-10 18:19:52</td> </tr> <tr class="bidRow4"> <td>macszaf (automata)</td> <td class="right">9 373 Ft</td> <td class="bidders_date">2010-06-10 18:19:52</td> </tr> <tr class="bidRow2"> <td>kucik (automata)</td> <td class="right">9 372 Ft</td> <td class="bidders_date">2010-06-10 18:19:42</td> </tr> <tr class="bidRow2"> <td>macszaf (automata)</td> <td class="right">9 371 Ft</td> <td class="bidders_date">2010-06-10 18:19:42</td> </tr> <tr class="bidRow0"> <td>kucik (automata)</td> <td class="right">9 370 Ft</td> <td class="bidders_date">2010-06-10 18:19:32</td> </tr> <tr class="bidRow0"> <td>macszaf (automata)</td> <td class="right">9 369 Ft</td> <td class="bidders_date">2010-06-10 18:19:32</td> </tr> <tr class="bidRow8"> <td>kucik (automata)</td> <td class="right">9 368 Ft</td> <td class="bidders_date">2010-06-10 18:19:22</td> </tr> <tr class="bidRow8"> <td>macszaf (automata)</td> <td class="right">9 367 Ft</td> <td class="bidders_date">2010-06-10 18:19:22</td> </tr> <tr class="bidRow6"> <td>kucik (automata)</td> <td class="right">9 366 Ft</td> <td class="bidders_date">2010-06-10 18:19:12</td> </tr> <tr class="bidRow6"> <td>macszaf (automata)</td> <td class="right">9 365 Ft</td> <td class="bidders_date">2010-06-10 18:19:12</td> </tr> </table> I want to parse this into a ListView (or a Grid) to create rows with the data contained. All tr are different row, and all td in a given td is a column in the given row. And also I want it to be as fast as possible, as it would update itself in 5 seconds. Is there any library for this?

  • Is a switch statement ok for 30 or so conditions?

    - by DeanMc
    I am in the final stages of creating an MP4 tag parser in .Net. For those who have experience with tagging music you would be aware that there are an average of 30 or so tags. If tested out different types of loops and it seems that a switch statement with Const values seems to be the way to go with regard to catching the tags in binary. The switch allows me to search the binary without the need to know which order the tags are stored or if there are some not present but I wonder if anyone would be against using a switch statement for so many conditionals. Any insight is much appreciated.

  • Tools to build a UI markup language parser

    - by Dan
    For a school project, I need to implement a parser for a (probably XML-based) markup language for User Interfaces. Based on the input it generates a HTML document with various UI components (textareas, inputs, panels, dialogs etc.) Do you have any suggestions for tools/libraries I might use for this? (At school we use Flex and Bison, but we're allowed to use modern tools -- maybe a tool that has the capabilities of both lex and yacc)

  • How do I keep a scanner from throwing exceptions when the wrong type is entered? (java)

    - by David
    Here's some sample code: import java.util.Scanner; class In { public static void main (String[]arg) { Scanner in = new Scanner (System.in) ; System.out.println ("how many are invading?") ; int a = in.nextInt() ; System.out.println (a) ; } } if i run the program and give it an int like 4then everything goes fine. if, on the other hand, i answer too many it doesn't laugh at my funny joke. instead i get this: (as expected) Exception in thread "main" java.util.InputMismatchException at java.util.Scanner.throwFor(Scanner.java:819) at java.util.Scanner.next(Scanner.java:1431) at java.util.Scanner.nextInt(Scanner.java:2040) at java.util.Scanner.nextInt(Scanner.java:2000) at In.main(In.java:9) is there a way so that i can make it so that it either ignores entries that aren't ints or re prompts with "how many are invading?"? i'd like to know how to do both of these.
