  • Apache HttpClient making multipart form post

    - by Russ
    I'm pretty green to HttpClient and I'm finding the lack of (and or blatantly incorrect) documentation extremely frustrating. I'm trying to implement the following post (listed below) with Apache Http Client, but have no idea how to actually do it. I'm going to bury myself in documentation for the next week, but perhaps more experienced HttpClient coders could get me an answer sooner. Post: Content-Type: multipart/form-data; boundary=---------------------------1294919323195 Content-Length: 502 -----------------------------1294919323195 Content-Disposition: form-data; name="number" 5555555555 -----------------------------1294919323195 Content-Disposition: form-data; name="clip" rickroll -----------------------------1294919323195 Content-Disposition: form-data; name="upload_file"; filename="" Content-Type: application/octet-stream -----------------------------1294919323195 Content-Disposition: form-data; name="tos" agree -----------------------------1294919323195--

  • How might I escape Unicode characters in a JSON string using JavaScript?

    - by user293006
    JSON String: { "id":31896, "name":"Zickey attitude - McKinley, La Rosi\u00e8re, 21 ao\u00fbt 2006", ... } this causes an unterminated string in JavaScript. My attempt at a solution is: data.replace(/(\S)\1(\1)+/g, ''); or data.replace(/\\u([0-9A-Z])/, ''); any ideas/solution? Example: http://api.jamendo.com/get2/id+name+url+stream+album_name+album_url+album_id+artist_id+artist_name/track/jsonpretty/track_album+album_artist/?n=13&order=ratingmonth_desc&tag_idstr=jazz last node is the problem, fyi. (/\\u([0-9A-Z])/, '\1');

  • Simple syntax error still eluding me.

    - by melee
    Here is the header for a class I started: #ifndef CANVAS_ #define CANVAS_ #include <iostream> #include <iomanip> #include <string> #include <stack> class Canvas { public: Canvas(); void Paint(int R, int C, char Color); const int Nrow; const int Ncol; string Title; int image[][100]; stack<int> path; struct PixelCoordinates { unsigned int r; unsigned int c; } position; Canvas operator<< (const Canvas& One ); Canvas operator>>( Canvas& One ); }; /*----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name: operator<< Purpose: Put a Canvas into an output stream -----------------------------------------------------------------------------*/ ostream& operator<<( ostream& Out, const Canvas& One ) { Out << One.Title << endl; Out << "Rows: " << One.Nrow << " Columns: " << One.Ncol << endl; int i,j; for( i=0; i<One.Nrow; i++) { cout<<"\n\n\n"; cout<< " COLUMN\n"; cout<< " 1 2 3"; for(i=0;i<One.Nrow;i++) { cout<<"\nROW "<<i+1; for(j=0;j<One.Ncol;j++) cout<< One.image[i][j]; } } return Out; } /*----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name: operator>> Purpose: Get a Canvas from an input stream -----------------------------------------------------------------------------*/ istream& operator>>( istream& In, Canvas& One ) { // string Line; // int Place = 0; // { // In >> Line; // if (In.good()) // { // One.image[Place][0] = Line; // Place++; // } // return In; #endif Here is my implementation file for class Canvas: using namespace std; #include <iostream> #include <iomanip> #include <string> #include <stack> #include "proj05.canvas.h" //----------------Constructor----------------// Canvas::Canvas() { Title = ""; Nrow = 0; Ncol = 0; image[][100] = {}; position.r = 0; position.c = 0; } //-------------------Paint------------------// void Canvas::Paint(int R, int C, char Color) { cout << "Paint to be implemented" << endl; } And the errors I'm getting are these: proj05.canvas.cpp: In function 'std::istream& operator>>(std::istream&, Canvas&)': proj05.canvas.cpp:11: error: expected `;' before '{' token proj05.canvas.cpp:24: error: expected `}' at end of input From my limited experience, they look like simple syntax errors but for the life of me, I cannot see what I am missing. I know putting a ; at the end of Canvas::Canvas() is wrong but that seems to be what it expects. Could someone please clarify for me? (Also, I know much of the code for the << and operator definitions look terrible, but unless that is the specific reason for the error please do not address it. This is a draft :) )

  • Inserting into a bitstream

    - by evilertoaster
    I'm looking for a way to efficiently insert bits into a bitstream and have it 'overflow', padding with 0's. So for example if you had a byte array with 2 bytes: 231 and 109 (11100111 01101101), and did BitInsert(byteArray,4,00) it would insert two bits at bit offset 4 making 11100001 11011011 01000000 (225,219,24). It would be ok even the method only allowed 1 bit insertions e.g. BitInsert(byteArray,4,true) or BitInsert(byteArray,4,false). I have one method of doing it, but it has to walk the stream with a bitmask bit by bit, so I'm wondering if there's a simpler approach... Answers in assembly or a C derivative would be appreciated.

  • Calling a void async. - Event based pattern, or another method?

    - by alex
    I have a class that basically stores files in amazon s3. Here is what it looks like (simplified) public class S3FileStore { public void PutFile(string ID, Stream content) { //do stuff } } In my client app, I want to be able to call: var s3 = new() S3FileStore(); s3.PutFile ("myId", File.OpenRead(@"C:\myFile1")); s3.PutFile ("myId", File.OpenRead(@"C:\myFile2")); s3.PutFile ("myId", File.OpenRead(@"C:\myFile3")); I want this to be an asynchronous operation - I want the S3FileStore to handle this (i don't want my caller to have to execute PutFile asynchronously so to speak) but, i want to be able to trap exceptions / tell if the operation completed for each file. I've looked at event based async calls, especially this: http://blogs.windowsclient.net/rendle/archive/2008/11/04/functional-shortcuts-2-event-based-asynchronous-pattern.aspx However, I can't see how to call my PutFile (void) method? Are there any better examples?

  • How do I get Cabal to bypass my Windows proxy settings?

    - by Brent.Longborough
    When retrieving packages with Cabal, I frequently get errors with this message: user error (Codec.Compression.Zlib: premature end of compressed stream) It looks like Cabal is using my Windows Networking proxy settings (for Privoxy). From digging around Google, Cabal or its libraries appear to have (had) a problem in this area. Possible solutions I can see are: Turn off proxying while using Cabal (not very keen on this one); or Get a patch and start hacking. I'm hesitant to go down this path, as I'm a complete Haskell noob and I'm not yet comfortable with Darcs; or Give it the magic "can I haz no proxy" parameter. Hence the question.

  • Bypassing Windows Copy design

    - by Scott S
    I have been trying to figure out a way to streamline copying files from one drive (network or external in my case) to my main system drives. Short of creating a program that I will have to activate each time then choosing all the info in it, I have no really good design to bypass it. I have been wondering if there was a way to intercept a straight-forward windows copy with a program to do it my way. The basic design would be that upon grabbing the copy (actually for this to be efficient, a group of different copies), the program would organize all the separate copies into a single stream of copies. I've been wanting to do this as recently I have been needing to make backups of a lot of data and move it a lot as all my drives seem to be failing the past few months.

  • PHP/Zend: How to force browsers to don't show warnings on webpage for a particular case?

    - by NAVEED
    I trying to get twitter updates like this: try { $doc = new DOMDocument(); $doc->load('http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/1234567890.rss'); $isOK = true; } catch( Zend_Exception $e ) { $isOK = false; } If there is not problem with internet connection then $isOK = true; is set. But if there is a problem in loading twitter page then it shows following warnings and does not set $isOK = false; Warning: DOMDocument::load(http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/1234567890.rss) [domdocument.load]: failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found in /var/www/vcred/application/controllers/IndexController.php on line 120 I don't want to see above warning on my webpage in any case. Any idea? Thanks

  • Does Flash10 + p2p really work?

    - by snitko
    I've been googling around and I still can't get it. Some people say: here you go, just use it. Others claim it has certain restrictions that does not allow you to use p2p the way you want it in Flash. So, here's a simple question: is it possible to implement a Flash10 application, that uses some of the existing torrent files to stream video/audio right into the user's browser? If no - why? Is there any possible workaround for this 'no'? If yes - what are the difficulties of the implementation and why have no one actually done it yet?

  • Tracing\profiling instructions

    - by LeChuck2k
    Hi Y'all. I'd like to statistically profile my C code at the instruction level. I need to know how many additions, multiplications, devides, etc,... I'm performing. This is not your usual run of the mill code profiling requirement. I'm an algorithm developer and I want to estimate the cost of converting my code to hardware implementations. For this, I'm being asked the instruction call breakdown during run-time (parsing the compiled assembly isn't sufficient as it doesn't consider loops in the code). After looking around, It seems VMWare may offer a possible solution, but I still couldn't find the specific feature that will allow me to trace the instruction call stream of my process. Are you aware of any profiling tools which enable this?

I use following code ProcessStartInfo psi = new ProcessStartInfo( "resxGen.exe" ); psi.CreateNoWindow = true; psi.Arguments = sb.ToString(); psi.UseShellExecute = false; psi.RedirectStandardOutput = true; Process p = Process.Start( psi ); p.WaitForExit(); StreamReader sr = p.StandardOutput; string message = p.StandardOutput.ReadToEnd(); It stuck on p.WaitForExit. When I turn off output stream redirection and do not read StandardOutput it works correctly. What do I do wrong ?

  • Live streaming using Flash

    - by James
    Hi, I was working on an application that streams live video using Flash client and Wowza media server. As of now, I use an independent desktop based encoder(Flash Media Live Encoder) to publish my live stream. I wanted to know if it is possible to do the encoding part in the browser? My application would be a used by many to publish their streams so I cannot ask everyone to use FMLE to publish. I was wondering how do the other web based video chat applications do the encoding part over the web. Please help. Thanks

  • .NET SerialPort.Read skipps bytes

    - by Lukas Rieger
    Solution Reading the data byte wise via "port.ReadByte" is too slow, the problem is inside the SerialPort class. i changed it to reading bigger chunks via "port.Read" and there are now no buffer overruns. although i found the solution myself, writing it down helped me and maybe someone else has the same problem and finds this via google... (how can i mark it as answered?) EDIT 2 by setting port.ReadBufferSize = 2000000; i can delay the problem for ~30 seconds. so it seems, .Net really is too slow... since my application is not that critical, i just set the buffer to 20MB, but i am still interested in the cause. EDIT i just tested something i had not thought of before (shame on me): port.ErrorReceived += (object self, SerialErrorReceivedEventArgs se_arg) => { Console.Write("| Error: {0} | ", System.Enum.GetName(se_arg.EventType.GetType(), se_arg.EventType)); }; and it seems that i have an overrun. Is the .Net implementation too slow for 500k or is there an error on my side? Original Question i built a very primitive oszilloscope (avr, which sends adc data over uart to an ftdi chip). On the pc side i have a WPF Programm that displays this data. The Protokoll is: two sync bytes (0xaffe) - 14 data bytes - two sync bytes - 14 data bytes - ... i use 16bit values, so inside the 14 data bytes are 7 channels (lsb first). I verified the uC Firmware with hTerm, and it does send and receive everything correct. But, if i try to read the data with C#, sometimes some bytes are lost. The oszilloscop programm is a mess, but i created a small sample application, which has the same symptoms. I added two extension methods to a) read one byte from the COM Port and ignore -1 (EOF) and b) wait for the sync pattern. The sample programm first syncs onto the data stream by waiting for (0xaffe) and then compares the received bytes with the expected values. the loop runs a few times until an assert failed message pops up. I could not find anything about lost bytes via google, any help would be appreciated. Code using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Diagnostics; using System.IO.Ports; using System.Linq; using System.Text; using System.Threading.Tasks; namespace SerialTest { public static class SerialPortExtensions { public static byte ReadByteSerial(this SerialPort port) { int i = 0; do { i = port.ReadByte(); } while (i < 0 || i > 0xff); return (byte)i; } public static void WaitForPattern_Ushort(this SerialPort port, ushort pattern) { byte hi = 0; byte lo = 0; do { lo = hi; hi = port.ReadByteSerial(); } while (!(hi == (pattern >> 8) && lo == (pattern & 0x00ff))); } } class Program { static void Main(string[] args) { //500000 8n1 SerialPort port = new SerialPort("COM3", 500000, Parity.None, 8, StopBits.One); port.Open(); port.DiscardInBuffer(); port.DiscardOutBuffer(); //Sync port.WaitForPattern_Ushort(0xaffe); byte hi = 0; byte lo = 0; int val; int n = 0; // Start Loop, the stream is already synced while (true) { //Read 7 16-bit values (=14 Bytes) for (int i = 0; i < 7; i++) { lo = port.ReadByteSerial(); hi = port.ReadByteSerial(); val = ((hi << 8) | lo); Debug.Assert(val != 0xaffe); } //Read two sync bytes lo = port.ReadByteSerial(); hi = port.ReadByteSerial(); val = ((hi << 8) | lo); Debug.Assert(val == 0xaffe); n++; } } } }

  • problem with NSInputStream on real iPhone

    - by ThamThang
    Hi guys, I have a problem with NSInputStream. Here is my code: case NSStreamEventHasBytesAvailable: printf("BYTE AVAILABLE\n"); int len = 0; NSMutableData *data = [[NSMutableData alloc] init]; uint8_t buffer[32768]; if(stream == iStream) { printf("Receiving...\n"); len = [iStream read:buffer maxLength:32768]; [data appendBytes:buffer length:len]; } [iStream close]; I try to read small data and it works perfectly on simulator and real iPhone. If I try to read large data (more than 4kB or maybe 5kB), the real iPhone just can read 2736 bytes and stop. Why is it? Help me plz! Merci d'avance!

  • Insert dependencies dynamically in View (Javascript and CSS Files)

    - by Ph.E
    Friends, I am willing to follow the rules of the W3C where it is recommended that javascript and CSS files should be in individual files and not within the page. Good, following this rule, and not wanting to overload the master page, I would like to embed the dependencies dynamically. So how could I insert the libraries dynamically? I think the bigger problem is the Ajax requests. Example: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://sstatic.net/so/js/master.js?v=6523"></script> I tried using the JavascriptResult, but he writes the content on the page, and do not run as "Stream." Any help is welcome. Thanks

  • Why do C++ streams use char instead of unsigned char?

    - by Johannes Schaub - litb
    I've always wondered why the C++ Standard library has instantiated basic_[io]stream and all its variants using the char type instead of the unsigned char type. char means (depending on whether it is signed or not) you can have overflow and underflow for operations like get(), which will lead to implementation-defined value of the variables involved. Another example is when you want to output a byte, unformatted, to an ostream using its put function. Any ideas? Note: I'm still not really convinced. So if you know the definitive answer, you can still post it indeed.

  • Receiving a File via RFCOMM on Android

    Hey guys, does someone know how to receive a file on android via RFCOMM? I'm a newby to bluetooth issues, so please have patience with me. I'm looking for an approach to receive data via RFCOMM as a stream and store it somewhere on my phone. Saving data is not the problem, it works quite fine. The main issue is the implementation of the connection and the reliable retrieval of the data... This whole procedure should be implemented as an android service (so that no activity has to be launched while receiving data). What would you suggest: Local or remote service? greetz, poeschlorn

  • Virtual Printer Driver for Windows

    - by bitsbunny
    Hello, can you please help me with the following questions... If I need a virtual printer that will convert a PostScript stream to a different format, do I have to implement a virtual printer from scratch or implement a rendering plug-in? The rendering plug-in seems to support only certain customizations. Also the data invariably goes to the spooler which is not needed in this case. If I implement a virtual printer driver does it completely replace the Microsoft PostScript Driver or the Microsoft Universal Driver? Since my driver is virtual, does it matter if I write a PostScript compliant or a Universal Driver compliant one? Any other method to convert a printed document to a custom document format apart from implementing a virtual printer driver? Can I hook on as a port monitor or something? From what I could understand I guess not.
