    hello i installed ubuntu using wubit inside the windows and started working on it then i got this error afer updating [0.8879153] kernel panic -not syncing VFS unable to mount fs unknow block (8.3) and i can't user rescue mode and it's give me another error no filesystem could mount root ..... i looked at grub folder and didn' find any file on disks/boot/grub/ so i tryed to user super grub to fix it but it didn' work and it keep giving me. any idea plz .

  • Block an Order Button

    I am looking for a script that will block or remove an order button to prevent customers from double or triple ordering but clicking the button more then once. I don't know what something like this would be called. But the site was developed in Classic .asp. However I'm going to guess and say this would be javascript or jquery on an image button?     Hi all, I am new in the Wpf & Mvvm world , but I have found a couple of examples and just found that there is some different way to instantiate the model. I would like to know the best/correct way to do it. both ways are using Unity What I've foud: var navigatorView = new MainView(); navigatorView.DataContext = m_Container.Resolve<INavigatorViewModel>(); m_RegionManager.Regions["NavigatorRegion"].Add(navigatorView); What I did: var navigatorView = m_Container.Resolve<MainView>; m_RegionManager.Regions["NavigatorRegion"].Add(navigatorView); and I changed the constructor to receive viewmodel so I can point the datacontext to it: public MainView(NavigatorViewModel navigatorViewModel) { this.DataContext = navigatorViewModel; } Other examples I've found another way like: ...vm = new viewmodel ...m = new model v.model = vm; get/set DataContext cheers

  • Automatically restarting Erlang applications

    I recently ran into a bug where an entire Erlang application died, yielding a log message that looked like this: =INFO REPORT==== 11-Jun-2010::11:07:25 === application: myapp exited: shutdown type: temporary I have no idea what triggered this shutdown, but the real problem I have is that it didn't restart itself. Instead, the now-empty Erlang VM just sat there doing nothing. Now, from the research I've done, it looks like there are other "start types" you can give an application: 'transient' and 'permanent'. If I start a Supervisor within an application, I can tell it to make a particular process transient or permanent, and it will automatically restart it for me. However, according to the documentation, if I make an application transient or permanent, it doesn't restart it when it dies, but rather it kills all the other applications as well. What I really want to do is somehow tell the Erlang VM that a particular application should always be running, and if it goes down, restart it. Is this possible to do? (I'm not talking about implementing a supervisor on top of my application, because then it's a catch 22: what if my supervisor process crashes? I'm looking for some sort of API or setting that I can use to have Erlang monitor and restart my application for me.) Thanks!

  • How do I only dp or do just the lines, not the entire block in Vim diff?

    I'm currently using MacVim (Snapshot 64) "Split Diff by..." menu option. The file is Django's my settings.py from version 1.3.1 to a fresh file from version 1.4. (Open the image on a separate window/tab to enlarge.) I know two basic commands do to "obtain" (and replace) a block from the other side. dp to "put" (and replace) a block to the other side. But those two commands writes the entire block, which in MacVim is the purple highlights. If you look at the 2nd block, you can see that from line 2 and 3 only has 2 words that are different: mysite and hobbes3. I just want to replace per line not the entire block. So what is there a command to replace do do and dp per line as oppose to an entire block or do I have to manually type it out? Bonus question: I noticed that once I manually edit a block, I lose the purple highlighting. How do I "refresh" the diff again to include the highlights without reopening the file? Please try to keep the answers Vim-general as oppose to MacVim-specific. Thanks!

    Hi, I have installed a web application which is configured using a network drive But i am keep getting a pop up asking for credentials looking in the event log, the network logon is set to my domain/account which looks fine however caller user name is empty (not sure if this is an issue) the application works fine when i use a local drive the application also runs fine when i set "connect as" user the application also works fine when a share on the local machine is used!! direct asses using the unc path is not a problem Please advise what i can do or should check Thanks and Regards, James

    My application usually crashes and prints stack to log if received segfault signal. But in some environment the 'dmesg' shows segfault messages related to my application, but application uptime is much older. Can segfault be suppressed and application doesn't receive signal? Or what errors from dmesg can mean ?

  • Ubuntu's gui "Open With" command is not memorizing the application

    In Ubuntu, when we right-click a icon and use "open with", there is an option to remember that application for that file's type. For some reason, my system is no more memorizing the application (I think it was aftare some update). And, even when I have already used the "open with" command, the application is not showing in the "open with" list, so I have, everytime, to go to "open with"-"Other Application". Any hint to solve this?
