    I was think of learning Perl cause I hear around town its good for system admin things. Would it be possible to use it to automatically install a php script? I need to install a custom script on a few different server and wanted to know how I could make something in Perl to do it (like move scripts over to directory and stuff)?

    I'm trying to use add_custom_command to generate a file during the build. The command never seemed to be run, so I made this test file. cmake_minimum_required( VERSION 2.6 ) add_custom_command( OUTPUT hello.txt COMMAND touch hello.txt DEPENDS hello.txt ) I tried running: cmake . make And hello.txt was not generated. What have I done wrong?

Following are the things I have in mind: 1) use high level scripting language like python or perl instead of shell script for a more comprehensive functionality and error handling 2) check that the file exists at the destination after FTP 3) check destination file size. This is a little bit difficult because file size will change if the source and destination are running different OS. Any tips on how to go about this?

    I'm running a software called Fishbowl inventory and it is running on a firebird database (Windows server 2003) at this time the fishbowl software is running extremely slow when more then one user accesses the software.     How do I write a batch process on the Mac for pdf2swf, I want to convert all pdfs in a folder into swf. But pdf2swf doesn't have a option to convert a folder of pdfs to swfs, you have to do it one at a time.     Hi, I'm using ASP.Net and whenever I create a script file or try to include a script file like jQuery they aren't working. I am doing just a regular localhost server and none of the scripts are working. Upon further examination using firebug I look at whats being referenced in those scripts and it shows html code for a 404 error. I know the scripts and files are there and I can navigate directly to them in the browser but for some reason I can't reference them in my page. Here is a screenshot:
