Hi, looking at a database dump file, and I see many records in various tables with their version number set in values other than 0 (even 94 in one case). I understand it has to do with hibernate locking strategy, but my concern is that today is Sunday, and the site has almost no visitors so is: is this normal ? Or is there a known hibernate bug or even some programming malpractice producing this ?
Thanks in advance.
I have been trying to change the cursor style to look like a pointer rather than an I beam thing, but it looks like FF does not respect the cursor spec in an input file field. For example, I have made this small fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/jDZtn/4/ where Id like the cursor to look like a pointer rather than an Ibeam when the user hovers over it. My end plan is to introduce opacity==0 and use a clickable button over it.
I am not sure if this behaviour is a bug or not.
I'm trying to run down when a particular bug was created, but wading through the history is pretty time consuming. Is anyone familiar with a command line method to get a list of revisions where a line or range of lines changed?
svn and vault evangelists: I know, right....but you can't always pick the environment....
When i dump a table with uppercase letters using mysqldump it comes out as lower case in my dump.sql file. I found a report here in 2006, almost 4 years old http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=19967
A solution here suggest making linux insensitive. I rather not if possible. Whats the easiest way to copy a win32 db into linux?
Hello!
I'm having an issue with Firefox and anchor links from an external page to a tab div on the landing page; while IE render these correctly (I know, that means little), FF and Chrome both send the user to a place somewhat above or below the actual anchor tag. I didn't write the original code, but I'm not able to find much about a FF bug that would cause this, or a solution?

I've been looking into some bug trackers and Retrospectiva seems like a good tool. However, I am having all sorts of trouble installing it on my machine. I followed the guide on their site (http://retrospectiva.org/tickets/357) but it hasn't helped much and there don't seem to be a lot of users on their site that work with Windows.
I am wondering if any of the SO users have any experience working with Retrospectiva.
I'm about to develop my own browser inconsistency/bug compendium site but I'm wondering if I really need to - can we get a wiki of sites that do this already? I'm aware of a lot of them but I hope I'm not missing out on some major ones.
I am getting random quotes in my html see image below, and i cant for the life of me figure out how to get rid of them i have traced it right back to my model and their are now quotes there, i have also compressed all my code and there is still quotes???
Any one had this bug???

I've just discovered fugitive.vim, which is pretty cool. However, I've run into a problem (this is using windows xp, msys git 1.7, fugitive.vim 1.1, and gvim 7.2). Adding files to the index and checking the status works just fine, but when I do a :GCommit, a command prompt flashes for a second and nothing happens. No way to type a commit message and nothing is committed. Is this a bug? Am I doing something wrong?
I often use tortoisesvn to checkout or update a working copy on a development server. Whenever I do this, it seems to slow down the network and other users complain that browsing websites and accessing files on the dev server is slow.
Is this a common bug in Subversion or has anyone else has come across similar problems?
In java, Does the following line has a possiblity (even 0.01%) to throw a NullPointerException??
if (str1 == null)
Actually I am falling some bug in the code and It says that similar line throws a java.lang.NullPointerException ?!
Should this bar on the HTML designer show the tag name? It sometimes does!
Here's an image of what I referring to.
I thought for sure it must be a bug but considering that I heard that MS was rewriting the editor (designer too?) I am starting to question whether I know how to use it!
I have code which is trivial but only works in IE not Firefox.
$(document).ready(function(){
$('li#first').click();
});
I have also tried:
document.getElementById('first').click();
But that doesn't work either.
Is this an IE bug/feature or is click() not supported in the other browsers?
Thanks in advance.
I noticed an interesting bug with the JQTouch platform and wanted to know if anyone else has run into it our has a workaround for it. If I have a link with an onclick event and lightly tap the link on the iPhone, the link works, but the click event is not fired. If I tap the same link harder, the event fires.
Any thoughts on this?
In VB.NET type this on a new line:
DateAdd(
Shouldn't a dropdown picklist of enum values appear?
It used to! I miss it!
Of course, this is just one example where an enum pick list does not appear where it did before.
Can anyone defend this or is it a bug?
This was a bug I found in a server application using Valgrind.
struct Foo
{
Foo(const std::string& a)
: a_(a_)
{
}
const std::string& a_;
};
with gcc -Wall you don't get a warning.
Why is this legal code?
I was always using the direct Add to Page Tab URL like this:
http://www.facebook.com/dialog/pagetab?app_id=238557109577754&redirect_uri=http://www.facebook.com
And today that URL gives me "Sorry, something went wrong.". Did something changed on Facebook side? Or is it a temporary bug?
Note that I have tried other redirect_uri params, such as the URL of the location where the app is hosted. It does always result in the same error.
Hi everyone,
I have a UITableView with a sectionIndexTitles, and when I do a rotation, some cells are displayed like if I were on the previous orientation. When I don't have sectionIndexTitles, there is no problem. Is it just a bug in a library, or is there a secret tip I don't know to fix it ?
Tank you
I am looking for a "portal" for wrapping our large Subversion repositories similar to GitHub. Does anyone know of any options? Features we are looking for are; home page for projects that include wiki bug tracking etc. This would be for an internal deployment.
I was working on a program today and hit this strange bug. I had a UIButton with an action assigned. The action was something like:
-(void) someaction:(id) e
{
if ([e tag]==SOMETAG)
{
//dostuff
}
}
What confuses me is that when I first wrote it, the if line was
if (e.tag==SOMETAG)
XCode refused to compile it, saying
error: request for member 'tag' in 'e', which is of non-class type 'objc_object*'
but I thought the two were equivalent.
So under what circumstances are they not the same?
If I create a scheduled task by calling ScheduledExecutorService.schedule(), it never quits after execution, is it a JDK bug, or I just miss something?
note: doSomething() is empty method below.
public static void doSomething() {
}
public static void main(String[] args) {
ScheduledFuture scheduleFuture =
Executors.newSingleThreadScheduledExecutor().schedule(new Callable() {
public Void call() {
try {
doSomething();
} catch (Exception e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}
return null;
}
}, 1, TimeUnit.SECONDS);
}
Well, that's pretty much the question: Is Serialization of Objects threaded in Visual C++ 6.0? I've got a nasty bug that would be explained if this is the case, and I haven't found any documentation about it.
Hi,
I have a combo box drop down for fonts in one of the apps. Now when I click on the dropdown to see the available list of fonts, I see a flickering effect. It seems as if the combo box keeps on reloading itself or getting refreshed. Is it because it covers some of the other UI elements like textboxes when I click to expand the list, or is it some kind of known bug with WPF? Is there a workaround for this?
