    - by Aditya Bhatt
How do I draw interactive widgets such as QButtons and Line Edits over a QGraphicsView? For ex, I have selected a region over an image in an image editing app which displays an image with QGraphicsView, and I want to annotate this region with a name. So I want to have a Line edit and two buttons (Cross and Tick) below this rectangular selection. How do I draw these? Sample code would be cool!

  • Wordpress as CMS, Without Using It As Website Platform

    - by swt
What is the best method, if there is one, of using Wordpress as a CMS for users to input data while not actually building the website on the Wordpress platform? One possible solution I've found is using a PHP class called "WPGet" (http://peter.upfold.org.uk/projects/wpget) which fetches directly from the database.

  • [ADO.NET ERRROR]: CREATE DATABASE permission denied in database 'master'. An attempt to attach an au

    - by Mark Cidade
Anyone seen this before? CREATE DATABASE permission denied in database 'master'. An attempt to attach an auto-named database for file C:\Documents and Settings\..\App_Data\HelloWorld.mdf failed. A database with the same name exists, or specified file cannot be opened, or it is located on UNC share. I'm asking on a friend's behalf. I've sent him these links: http://blog.benhall.me.uk/2008/03/sql-server-and-vista-create-database.html http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=702726&SiteID=1

  • MPMediaPickerController, MPMediaItems, and NSData

    - by ckrames1234
I was wondering if Apple allowed you to access the MPMediaItem's raw data as an NSData object. If you can, thats great and I would like to know how. If you cannot, then Apple is way too over-protective, and my app that i started is utterly useless. Also if you cannot, Is there any hacky workarounds? I don't care if Apple doesn't accept my app as it would still be cool if me and my friends all had it. Thanks, Conrad

  • My portfolio site crashes IE 7 and IE 6

    - by Jonathan Branthwaite
Hi My portfolio site www.jonathanbranthwaite.co.uk uses heavy JQuery - sliding carousel and lightbox navigation. It works fine in Firefox and Safari, and from what I gather in IE 8. Does anyone know if the code is incorrect or if there is something making it crash, or is this just because of alot of JQuery. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Jonathan

Hi, I'm looking for a way to extract some information from this site via PHP: http://www.mycitydeal.co.uk/deals/london There ist a counter where the time left is displayed, but the information is within the JavaScript. Since I'm really a JavaScript rookie, I didn't really know how to get the information. Normally I would extract the information with "preg_match" and some regular expressions. Can someone help me to extract the information (Hrs., Min., Sec.) ? Jennifer

  • Is it possible to make a subclass of NSObject which support subnodes in IB for iPhone project?

    - by Eonil
I'm making a custom UI element class for iPhone. It'll cool to edit my class on Interface Builder with hierarchy. Some of my class is management class like UINavigationController, but they're not one of them, subclasses from NSObject. Of course, I can place a NSObject instance on IB, but it cannot have a child node. Is there a way to enable adding child node to subclass of NSObject?

  • Does Google punish content duplication across multiple country domains?

    - by Logan Koester
I like the way Google handles internationalization, with domains such as google.co.uk, google.nl, google.de etc. I'd like to do this for my own site, but I'm concerned that Google will interpret this as content duplication, particularly across countries that speak the same human language, as there won't be any translation to hint that the content is different. My site is a web application, not a content farm, so is this a legitimate concern? Would I be better off with subdomains of my .com? Directories?

  • Arrays become null after passing to function in PHP

    - by William
    So when I pass my filled arrays to the function createform the form is created with $max_avatars options, but they have no name or value. Why are my arrays becoming null? <?php $avatar_image_name = array('hacker','samurai','cool','happy','thatsnice','angry','tv','bang'); $avatar_name = array('Hacker','Samurai','Cool','Happy','That\'s nice','Angry','TV','Bang'); $max_avatars = 6; createform($max_avatars, $avatar_image_name, $avatar_name); ?> The function createform: function createform($max_avatars, $avatar_image_name, $avatar_name) { $string ='<table id="formtable"> <tr><td class="formtext">Name:</td><td><input type="text" name=name size=25 /></td></tr> <tr><td class="formtext">Trip:</td><td><input type="text" name=trip size=25 /> (<font style="color: #ff0000">Don\'t use your password</font>)</td></tr> <tr><td class="formtext">Comment</td><td><textarea name=post rows="4" cols="50"></textarea></td></tr> <tr><td class="formtext">Avatar:</td> <td> <select name=avatar>'; for($i = 0; $i < $max_avatars; $i++){ $string = ($string .   • Rails :dependent => :destroy VS :dependent => :delete_all

    - by Sergey
In rails guides it's described like this: "Objects will be in addition destroyed if they’re associated with :dependent = :destroy, and deleted if they’re associated with :dependent = :delete_all." Right, cool. But what's the difference between being destroyed and being deleted? I tried both and it seems to do the same thing.
