how can i communicate gmail pop server from flex
i used pop.gmail.com and port =995 using Socket() class but it returns
220 mx.google.com ESMTP but i dont understand nothing.
Given a method..
public ActionResult Method()
{
// program logic
if(condition)
{
// external library
// external library returns an ActionResult
}
return View(viewname);
}
I cannot control the return type or method of the external library. I want to catch its results and handle that in a dialog on the page - but I cannot figure out how to get back to the page to execute the jQuery that would be responsible for it. Any ideas?
Any good CCK API docs out there? I have seen http://api.audean.com/, but can't find what I want there.
Basically, I need a function that takes a field name and returns what node type has that field. I wrote my own, but would rather make an API call.
I have PL/SQL function, which is programmed to sort a set of data. This function work fine without any error, when called directly as a PL/SQL Function.
However, when I call this Function Via a Unix Shell Script, even though the script returns a success code and throws an Out Process Memory Error and function is actually not executed.
I have verified the DB Index spaces and temp spaces, which are more than 50% free spaces
Hi,
Just a quick question.
I've written some code that returns a custom class Command, and the code I've written seems to work fine. I was wondering if there are any reasons that I shouldn't be doing it this way. It's something like this:
Command Behavior::getCommand ()
{
char input = 'x';
return Command (input, -1, -1);
}
Anyway, I read that constructors aren't meant to have a return value, but this works in g++.
Thanks for any advice,
Rhys
I only want a method to activate if the pixel that is clicked is white. How would I implement this? Trying to look for a method that returns the colour at a coord, but I can't find one.
i have the variable $a = 5; i want to show it in binary form, with length, equal 8, with writing * at white spaces, just like this, like this * * * * *101
here the script
$number = 5;
printf("%*8b", $number);
it doesn't work with *, but if "0"-s it works
printf("%08b", $number);
//returns 00000101
why it doesn't work with *?
When using the Spring 3.0 capability to annotate the a scheduled task, I would like to set the fixedDelay as parameter from my configuration file, instead of hard-wiring it into my task class, like currently...
@Scheduled(fixedDelay=5000)
public void readLog() {
...
}
Unfortunately it seems that with the means of the Spring Expression Language (EL) @Value returns a String object which in turn is not able to be auto-boxed to a long value as required by the fixedDelay parameter.
Thanks in advance for your help on this.
Has somebody an idea, why the getName method of the requests getUserPrincipal Method sometimes provides an empty String? Most of the time it returns the correct user name but not every time.
This behaviour does occur randonmly. I can start the application, run the command and it works. The next time I start the application and run the command (exactly the same way as before!) it does not work...
Any ideas?
I have a very simple joomla component that returns database results. It is not structured int the MVC format. How do I code the component so I can designate a page title? I wouldn't want to disable the existing functionality of joomla content articles.
I have a string 12012009 input by the user in ASP.NET MVC application. I wanted to convert this to a DateTime.
But if I do DateTime.TryParse("12012009", out outDateTime); it returns a false.
So I tried to convert 12012009 to 12/01/2009 and then do
DateTime.TryParse("12/01/2009", out outDateTime); which will work
But I don't find any straight forward method to convert string 12012009 to string "12/01/2009". Any ideas?
I'm trying to ping Google when my web site's sitemap is updated but I need to know which status code does Google or any other service returns. My code is below:
HttpWebRequest rqst = (HttpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create("http://search.yahooapis.com/ping?sitemap=http%3a%2f%2fhasangursoy.com.tr%2fsitemap.xml");
rqst.Method = "POST";
rqst.ContentType = "text/xml";
rqst.ContentLength = 0;
rqst.Timeout = 3000;
rqst.GetResponse();
Which is better?
function test($val = 'a') {
if($val == 'a') {
return true;
}
return false;
}
or
function test($val = 'a') {
if($val == 'a') {
return true;
} else {
return false;
}
}
Effectively, they do the same thing. If $val isn't 'a', the function returns false. Just personal preference?
Spreadsheetgear provides ability to create PrintPreview window - using WorkbookView.PrintPreview().
But it seems impossible to modify that window. That function returns void and there are no properties to control the visual content of that window.
Please, say me I'm wrong.... Have I missed something?
I'm trying to call a function, test(), of an iframe from the parent document using the code
subframe.test();
subframe refers correctly to the iframe, alert(subframe) returns [object HTMLIFrameElement], and the function runs in both IE7 and opera (9.23), but not firefox (3.0), chrome (3.0) or safari (3.03 beta windows). I assume these browsers support the functionality, so wondering if perhaps I'm using an incorrect call which IE and Opera support anyway, which wouldn't surprise me.
I'm using the winmm.dll API method waveOutGetPosition to get the current position of the playback of a WAV file. Sometimes this works as expected for me, but eventually one of the calls never returns and my application locks up.
I found this thread with a few users who have experienced the same problem:
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/windowsgeneraldevelopmentissues/thread/c6a1e80e-4a18-47e7-af11-56a89f638ad7
but no solution. Has anyone run into this problem before?
I have a table that I'm querying for value 43 in the second field and I return the value of the third field
SELECT t1_field3 FROM table1 WHERE t1_field2=43
this returns 19, 39,73
t1_id t1_field2 t1_field3
----- --------- ---------
1 43 19////
2 43 39////
3 43 73////
4 73 43
5 13 40
Then I separately query a second table for additional information
SELECT * FROM table2 WHERE t2_id=t1_field3
t2_id t2_field2 t2_field3
----- --------- ---------
19 value19.2 value19.3
39 value39.2 value39.3
73 value73.2 value73.3
Is there a way I could combine both table1 and table2 in the same query?
Hi,
I am not so good with regex. I am struggling to find a solution for a small functionality.
I have a ajax response which returns a string like "Your ticket has been successfully logged. Please follow the link to view details 123432."
All I have to do is replace that number 123432 with <a href="blablabla.com?ticket=123432"> using javascript.
Is there a way to format a UTC time into any arbitrary string format I want in java? Basically I was thinking of having some class take the timestamp and I pass it is string telling it how I want it formated, and it returns the formatted string for me. Is there a way to do this?
Is it possible to turn result sets obtained in LINQ through a stored procedure or function call into a "live" set of objects of which I can retrieve Foreign Key related objects?
If, for example, my stored procedure returns a set of rows (= LINQ objects) of type "Contact", then I can't seem to obtain Contact.BillingAddress (which is related by Foreign Key).
Any idea how to make this work?
Is there any URL from google maps, that returns me the latitude and longitude of an address.
i want to use these lat and long details in iPhone Map kit to plot some information.
Hi,
I'm trying to do an Insert operation using iBatis.
INSERT INTO SCHEMA.TABLE
(FIELD1,
FIELD2,
FIELD3)
VALUES
(#field1#,
(SELECT
ANOTHER_FIELD
FROM
SCHEMA.TABLE
WHERE
FIELD4= #field2#),
#field2#)
The inner select query always fails and returns NULL. But if I substitute #field2# with the actual value only in the inner query, it works fine.
Why is iBatis not substituting fieldvalues in the innerqueries?
Any ideas?
I'm invoking a rest service that returns JSON like this:
{
"some.key" : "some value",
"another.key" : "another value"
}
I would like to think that I can invoke this service with a java.util.Map as the response type but that's not working for me. I get this exception:
org.springframework.web.client.RestClientException: Could not extract response: no suitable HttpMessageConverter found for response type [interface java.util.Map]
Should I just specify String as the response type and convert the JSON to a Map?
Hello,
if you have a function "test a b" which returns true if a and b are connected directly and if you have a given unordered list of things, what would be an elegant and fast solution to filter all connected things from given list?
Example:
let test a b = let diff = a - b in diff == 0 ;;
let lst = [4;1;7;3;8;9;2;0] ;;
filter_connected 2 lst ;;
- [4;1;3;2;0]
Any hints?
