  • Is there a jQuery widget equal to DOJO's TitlePane?

    - by Bill Caswell
I like the visual behavior of the DOJO TitlePane widget, but it has too much other bunk for my purpose. http://dojotoolkit.org/reference-guide/dijit/TitlePane.html#dijit-titlepane Is anyone aware of a jQuery widget that provides the same ability to expose and hide content in a stacked manner with the little flippy-arrow, pane highlighting on mouse over, etc? An accordion does not accomplish my goal being able to have multiple panes open at the same time. Thanks in advance.

  • Is there a built-in class to handle encryption in C#?

    - by badpanda
I need to encrypt bytecode to send over a connection to a webservice, preferably using a GUID as a key. I have done a bit of research and found several classes developed for a similar purpose, but haven't been able to turn up much that is built into the Windows libraries. My question is: Is there something built in to C# that performs this task? If there is not, I would very much appreciate any suggestions as to implementation. Thanks!! badPanda

  • Find a regular expression that matches a string?

    - by Mirai
I need a model for finding all of the regular expressions that would match a particular string. Basically, I need an algorithm for doing what I do to generate a regex search string from some pattern. My purpose for this to create a list of potential regular expressions from a selection of text and order that list from least specific (i.e. string of characters with abitrary length) to most specific (i.e. the string itself) to be used in text editor.

  • Best method to peek into a Scala Actor's Mailbox

    - by scaling_out
Using Scala 2.8 RC1 or newer, what is the best (easiest and/or most direct) method to "peek" at the waiting messages in an actor's mailbox (from within the same actor's act() method) in order to examine what is in the queue, without having to react/receive the messages and/or disturb the current contents of the mailbox in any way. The purpose of this is so that an actor may determine if it is safe to process a request to exit by first determining if any of the remaining mailbox messages are ones that must be processed, instead of just dropped by stopping the actor immediately.

  • Storing a NTFS Security Descriptor in C

    - by Doori Bar
    My goal is to store a NTFS Security Descriptor in its identical native state. The purpose is to restore it on-demand. I managed to write the code for that purpose, I was wondering if anybody mind to validate a sample of it? (The for loop represents the way I store the native descriptor) This sample only contains the flag for "OWNER", but my intention is to apply the same method for all of the security descriptor flags. I'm just a beginner, would appreciate the heads up. Thanks, Doori Bar #define _WIN32_WINNT 0x0501 #define WINVER 0x0501 #include <stdio.h> #include <windows.h> #include "accctrl.h" #include "aclapi.h" #include "sddl.h" int main (void) { DWORD lasterror; PSECURITY_DESCRIPTOR PSecurityD1, PSecurityD2; HANDLE hFile; PSID owner; LPTSTR ownerstr; BOOL ownerdefault; int ret = 0; unsigned int i; hFile = CreateFile("c:\\boot.ini", GENERIC_READ | ACCESS_SYSTEM_SECURITY, FILE_SHARE_READ, NULL, OPEN_EXISTING, FILE_FLAG_BACKUP_SEMANTICS, NULL); if (hFile == INVALID_HANDLE_VALUE) { fprintf(stderr,"CreateFile() failed. Error: INVALID_HANDLE_VALUE\n"); return 1; } lasterror = GetSecurityInfo(hFile, SE_FILE_OBJECT, OWNER_SECURITY_INFORMATION , &owner, NULL, NULL, NULL, &PSecurityD1); if (lasterror != ERROR_SUCCESS) { fprintf(stderr,"GetSecurityInfo() failed. Error: %lu;\n", lasterror); ret = 1; goto ret1; } ConvertSidToStringSid(owner,&ownerstr); printf("ownerstr of PSecurityD1: %s\n", ownerstr); /* The for loop represents the way I store the native descriptor */ PSecurityD2 = malloc( GetSecurityDescriptorLength(PSecurityD1) * sizeof(unsigned char) ); for (i=0; i < GetSecurityDescriptorLength(PSecurityD1); i++) ((unsigned char *) PSecurityD2)[i] = ((unsigned char *) PSecurityD1)[i]; if (IsValidSecurityDescriptor(PSecurityD2) == 0) { fprintf(stderr,"IsValidSecurityDescriptor(PSecurityD2) failed.\n"); ret = 2; goto ret2; } if (GetSecurityDescriptorOwner(PSecurityD2,&owner,&ownerdefault) == 0) { fprintf(stderr,"GetSecurityDescriptorOwner() failed."); ret = 2; goto ret2; } ConvertSidToStringSid(owner,&ownerstr); printf("ownerstr of PSecurityD2: %s\n", ownerstr); ret2: free(owner); free(ownerstr); free(PSecurityD1); free(PSecurityD2); ret1: CloseHandle(hFile); return ret; }

  • How do I embed a binary within a Delphi executable and extract at runtime?

    - by Mick
I'd like to embed an executable inside of my Delphi binary and extract it at runtime. The purpose of this is to ensure that a helper utility is always available on the system, without having to distribute multiple files. With Delphi 2007 I have used JvDataEmbedded, but I am building a console application and I want to know if anyone knows of another way to do it without having to add a hidden form for JvDataEmbedded. I am using Delphi 2010.

  • Is it possible to do a #define in Adobe Flex?

    - by Without me Its just Aweso
I'm looking for a way to do something similar to a c/c++ #define in adobe flex. I'd like to have lots of different paths a project build can take depending on wither or not something was defined. Does such a thing exist in flex? I know there is ways to set global variables but that wont really suit my purpose. being able to have structures with numerous #ifndefined and such is really what i'm in need of. thanks!

  • Strategy to rename the require_once function?

    - by openfrog
Rather than just writing a new function called import() i'd like to know if there's a better solution. Otherwise require_once would be included in the scope of import() only, which is bad for any "global" variable there. My import() function would work differently than require_once, but serves the same purpose (enhanced usability).

  • Why is NULL/0 an illegal memory location for an object?

    - by aioobe
I understand the purpose of the NULL constant in C/C++, and I understand that it needs to be represented some way internally. My question is: Is there some fundamental reason why the 0-address would be an invalid memory-location for an object in C/C++? Or are we in theory "wasting" one byte of memory due to this reservation?

  • Django updating a single model

    - by Hellnar
Hello How can I use the update() method on a single model which I retrieved via Queryset.get() ? It seems like model. Model doesn't have an update() method yet I cannot invoke .save() as I have a pre-save signals which messes things up. EDIT: An idea would be passing some parameter to the save method and catching it at the pre_save signal, so that I can understand the purpose, how can this be done ? Thanks

  • String literals in python

    - by kjakeb
Hello, Is there a way to declare a string variable in python such that everything inside of it is automatically escaped, or has its literal character value? I'm NOT asking how to escape the quotes with slashes, that's obvious. What I'm asking for is a general purpose way for making EVERYTHING in a string literal so that I don't have to manually go through and escape everything for very large strings. Anyone know of a solution? Thanks!

  • "this" in function parameter

    - by chris
Looking at some code examples for HtmlHelpers, and I see declarations that look like: public static string HelperName(this HtmlHelper htmlHelper, ...more regular params ) I can't remember seeing this type of construct any where else - can someone explain the purpose of the "this"? I thought that by declaring something public static meant that the class did not need to be instantiated - so what is "this" in this case?

  • What's the deal with reftype { } ?

    - by friedo
I recently saw some code that reminded me to ask this question. Lately, I've been seeing a lot of this: use Scalar::Util 'reftype'; if ( reftype $some_ref eq reftype { } ) { ... } What is the purpose of calling reftype on an anonymous hashref? Why not just say eq 'HASH' ?
