  • Accessing ajax POST response in javascript

    - by mike44
I'm making ajax POST request from javascript function: function UpdateMetrics() { $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "MyHandler.ashx?Param1=value1", data: "{}", contentType: "text/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "text", success: function (msg) { var jsonUpdatedData = msg; ... } }); } From my handler, I'm sending json string with: context.Response.write(json); I think I'll get it in msg. I also want to send other string (count). So I'm trying to use header info along with json data. So I added this line: context.Response.Headers.Add("MaxCount",Convert.ToString(tempList.Count)); If this is right way to do it, how can I access it in my success function?

  • Using ftp in C# to send a file

    - by pm_2
I'm trying to send a file using ftp. I have the following code: string server = "x.x.x.x"; // Just the IP Address FileStream stream = File.OpenRead(filename); byte[] buffer = new byte[stream.Length]; WebRequest request = WebRequest.Create("ftp://" + server); request.Method = WebRequestMethods.Ftp.UploadFile; request.Credentials = new NetworkCredential(username, password); Stream reqStream = request.GetRequestStream(); // This line fails reqStream.Write(buffer, 0, buffer.Length); reqStream.Close(); But when I run it, I get the following error: The requested URI is invalid for this FTP command. Please can anyone tell me why? Am I using this incorrectly?

    - by j-t-s
Hi All How can I go about closing a Child form if it's already open? And if it isn't already open, then open it? Thank you I already have this code, which doesn't work, obviously: Form ibx = new inbox(); if(ibx.Visible) ibx.Dispose(); else ibx.Show(); All that the above does is creates a new form whether or not it's already open.

  • How to set value from other class

    - by Ram
Its said that property should not be "Set" only and it should be "Get" as well. What should i do if I need to set value to a variable from some other class? The will keep changing so I cannot pass it through constructor. Shall I create a function for this as shown below? class A { public void SetValue() { b = new B(); b.SetTest(10); } } class B { int test; public void SetTest(int value) { test = value; } } What are the other alternatives?
