  I'm building a CMS for a scientific journal and that uses a lot of Greek characters. I need to validate a field to include a specific character set and Greek characters. Here's what I have now: [^a-zA-Z0-9-()/\s] How do I get this to include Greek characters in addition to alphanumeric, '(', ')', '-', and '_'? I'm using C#, by the way.

Seems like it would take a lot of heavy lifting to analyze the JavaScript code and do a direct translation into Objective-C without having a subset language like 280 North's Objective-J and Cappuccino.

As Moose does automatic object building, i do not get to understand if this something possible, and how to create a Moose class with Moose syntax and having this behaviour Eg: The user asks: $file = Repository-new(uri='sftp://blabla') .... and is returned an Repository::_Sftp instance User would use $file as if it is a Repository instance, without the need to know the real subclass (polymorphism)

• UITableView Question. How do I preselect a tableView cell?

  I assumed that the correct way to preselect a cell in a table view was: - (void)selectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath animated:(BOOL)animated scrollPosition:(UITableViewScrollPosition)scrollPosition However it does absolutely nothing. Nadda. For context I am building an iPad app and the tableview is deployed from a Popover ViewController. So the tableView is only visible when deployed.   I'm thinking of building a game along the lines of Farmville - items, events, time management system etc. Options I am thinking of: 1) Flash UI frontend that uses AMFPHP to get all data for the view from a PHP powered backend. 2) Actionscript to power the whole game Any input is appreciated. My concern with Actionscript is scaling, my concern with PHP is having to build an update system that would need a lot of back and forth xmlhttprequests which might get complicated. If there's a better way to build something like this, I'm all ears :)

• java ee server similar to cassini

  I primarily use Tomcat and Glassfish for Java EE development at work, but was wondering if anyone knew of any small application servers like Cassini for ASP.NET that would make building and testing faster? I would still eventually deploy to one of our production tomcat/glassfish servers, but would prefer something that is simpler and quicker. I am probably going to take jetty and geronimo for a spin, any others I should check out?
