Hi,
I am getting the following error: Invalid authorization specification
I've narrowed down the error to my connection string. I have verified the server name, database, user & password are correct. Here is the string:
"Provider=SQLOLEDB;Server=xxxxx.db.12345.hostedresource.com;Database=foo;UID=fooUser;PWD=fooPW"
The SQL server is hosted on Godaddy so I don't have access to its settings.
Please help, I've scoured the internet for a solution!

I am trying to design the standards and patterns for implementing portlets/web gadgets with the main goal of maximizing interoperability if those components were hosted in a Java app server framework or within an existing ASP.NET technology (SharePoint webparts), or a client side-only framework.
Is there any guidance anywhere of the parts of different portlet standards that are shared between most portal frameworks?
Is the best I can hope for is to adhere to the JSR 168 and 286 standards and hitch my wagon to Java?
Hi,
I want to host a WCF Data Service (formerly known as ADO.NET data Service) in windows form.Is it possible? If yes, then is there any blog, which talks about it?
I know WCF can be hosted in Windows Form, but I am not sure about WCF data service, as all the examples I see, is asking to create ASP.NET web project.

Is there any way to use OpenOffice's PyUNO without using the version of Python that comes with OpenOffice?
I mean, can I install a package (on Windows and CentOS) that uses the version of Python that's already on the server?
I'm trying to use OpenOffice in headless mode so that I can do document conversion with a script (ultimately on a hosted server running CentOS) but my development work is being done on Windows and occassionally the Mac). I'm having nothing but trouble getting this to work.
If I have an object that holds the parameters for my method. I need to change the Object to have an additional property. I have full control over the server, but not over all of the clients. Will this change make those clients break?
I am using a self-hosted service with a binary endpoint.
I am new to WCF so my apologies if this is a silly question.

I have recently started working on a very large C++ project that, after completing 90% of the implementation, has determined that they need to demonstrate 100% branch coverage during testing. The project is hosted on an embedded platform (Green Hills Integrity). I'm looking for suggestions and experiences from others on StackOverflow that have used code coverage products in similar environments. I'm interested in both positive and negative comments regarding these types of tools.
I am developing an application which may be hosted on a microsoft sql server, or on Azure SQL, depending upon the end user's wishes.
My whole system works fine with the exception of some WCF functions which determine the last modification time of tables using the following technique:
SELECT OBJECT_NAME(OBJECT_ID) as tableName,
last_user_update as lastUpdate
FROM mydb.sys.dm_db_index_usage_stats
This query fails in Azure. Is there any analogous way to get table last modification dates from Azure's sql?
Here's the question, I need to connect to a remote MySQL database from my C# Application, problem is the MySQL instance will block all access to all IP's apart from localhost, this can not be changed as its too much of a security issue.
The question is, is it possible to connect via a tunnel instead to a php script hosted on the server, this would then act as the mysql connection.
Any ideas and suggestions?
I'd like to use the Drupal solr search module with the Apache Solr Search hosted on an external machine. I know that Acquia offer this as a service. But it's not an affordable option for me. I'd like to install Solr on an inexpensive VPS and have all my various Drupal sites which are on different hosts accessing the search functions. Am I barking up the wrong tree?
I am conducting stress tests on my database, which is hosted on SQL Server 2008 64-bit running on a 64-bit machine with 10 GB of RAM.
I have 400 threads. Each thread queries the database every second, but the query time does not take time, as the SQL profiler says that, but after 18 hours SQL Server uses up 7.2 GB of RAM and 7.2 GB of virtual memory.
Is this normal behavior? How can I adjust SQL Server to clean up unused memory?
We have a Silverlight application client and a WCF Service hosted as Managed Window Service and exposing Service Contracts on BasicHttpBinding.
We are sending FaultContract on the wire in case of exception is caught with the WCF Service Code. We are facing following problem as:
A. If we have Synconized proxy call (in case of Window or Web Client), we are able to catch the Fault Contract.
B. If we are using Silverlight Client which uses Asyncronized calls, we are unable to catch the Fault Contract.
We need help on later problem (B.), Thanks in advance
I have a project hosted at code.google.com. I would like to get the history of commits to the svn repository. I have tortoise svn installed. How can I do that?
Thanks.
Validation of viewstate MAC failed. If this application is hosted by a Web Farm or cluster, ensure that configuration specifies the same validationKey and validation algorithm. AutoGenerate cannot be used in a cluster.
Windows Phone 7 uses Silverlight as one of its "native" development APIs. But does the Windows Phone 7 version of Internet Explorer support Silverlight as a plugin so you can view web-hosted Silverlight content?
I have two different .Net projects, hosted on github.
I would like to create a shared "commons" library for the two projects.
How should I structure my repository to facilitate this sharing?
Ideally, a change in this common library in one project could easily be pushed into the other project. I prefer to keep the code itself editable from the two projects (within Visual Studio), and not include it as a library. Are there best practices for this?
I have created a number of forms using various Joomla components which have more or less worked successfully.
Recently I have attempted to create mult-page forms - the forms work...but they are slow as molasses. Having spent a couple of weeks trying to resolve this and not seeing any signs of improvement ......
I wonder if anyone has experience of using hosted forms services in Joomla either using a wrapper or as a static page within a Joomla site.
Any pointers or recommendations would be appreciated.
I'm looking into what's involved in distributing an Enterprise App and found this line in Apple's Enterprise App Distribution doc in the section on installing the apps wirelessly:
A network configuration that allows the devices to access an iTunes server at Apple
What does this mean and why is it necessary? I thought the apps to be installed would be hosted on a company web site, but does this imply otherwise?
TIA
It seems that the popularity of jQuery and MS AJAX, as well as tools like YSlow & Google Page Speed have given rise to common components being hosted on Content Delivery Networks (CDN).
So which CDN's exist and what files do they serve?
