I am using the following functions for writing and reading 4098 floating point numbers in MATLAB:
Writing:
fid = fopen(completepath, 'w');
fprintf(fid, '%1.30f\r\n', y)
Reading:
data = textread(completepath, '%f', 4098);
where y contains 4098 numbers. I now want to write and read 3 strings at the end of this data. How do I read two different datatypes? Please help me. Thanks in advance.
I have been looking for a way of modifying static strings stored in Windows .exe files in the .rdata section, however I haven't found a real way to do so yet.
The whole thing is too complicated to do by hand (in this case by a HEX editor) and so I wanted to know if you have a solution to do so.
I want to store lines of strings dynamically using C language.
for e.g
sadasdasda5245sdf
fadfa6456
fasdf90-70=790
the number of such lines and the length of each line can be anything.Is there any way to store the whole thing dynamically.
By default, printf() seems to align strings to the right.
printf("%10s %20s %20s\n", "col1", "col2", "col3");
/* col1 col2 col3 */
I can also align text to the left like this:
printf("%-10s %-20s %-20s", "col1", "col2", "col3");
Is there a quick way to center text? Or do I have to write a function that turns a string like test into (space)(space)test(space)(space) if the text width for that column is 8?
Hi!
There's the (almost religious) discussion, if you should use LIKE or '=' to compare strings in SQL statements.
Are there reasons to use LIKE?
Are there reasons to use '='?
Performance? Readability?
Thanks in advance!
I have some testcases/strings in this format:
o201_01_01a_Testing_to_see_If_this_testcases_passes:without_data
o201_01_01b_Testing_to_see_If_this_testcases_passes:data
rx01_01_03d_Testing_the_reconfiguration/Retest:
Actually this testcase name consists of the actual name and the description.
So, I want to split them like this :
o201_01_01a Testing_to_see_If_this_testcases_passes:without_data
o201_01_01b Testing_to_see_If_this_testcases_passes:data
rx01_01_03d Testing_the_reconfiguration/Retest:
I am unable to figure out the exact way to do this in explode in php
Can anyone help please?
Thanks.
arr = ["red","green","yellow"]
arr2 = arr.clone
arr2[0].replace("blue")
puts arr.inspect
puts arr2.inspect
produces:
["blue", "green", "yellow"]
["blue", "green", "yellow"]
Is there anyway to do a deep copy of an array of strings, other than using Marshal as i understand that is a hack.
I could do:
arr2 = []
arr.each do |e|
arr2 << e.clone
end
but it doesn't seem very elegant, or efficient.
Thanks
string a="I am comparing 2 string";
string b="I am comparing 2 string";
if(a==b)
return true;
else
return false;
How does a .NET compiler compare two strings? Does a string work like a struct(int)?
string is class so a=b means we are comparing 2 object, but i want to compare 2 values.
I have some strings in my theme/template and I was hoping to translate them with t(), but they don't appear in /admin/build/translate/search. I could do it in PHP code and make my own function, but is this "the right way"?
Hi. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to mix views arguments with static strings?
For example in the path section of a view feed display I need:
/mypath/%.xml
with the ".xml" part being the static string.
Thanks in advance.
Given a url, and a query string, how can I get the url resulting from the combination of the query string with the url?
I'm looking for functionality similar to .htaccess's qsa. I realize this would be fairly trivial to implement completely by hand, however are there built-in functions that deal with query strings which could either simplify or completely solve this?
Example input/result sets:
Url="http://www.example.com/index.php/page?a=1"
QS ="?b=2"
Result="http://www.example.com/index.php/page?a=1&b=2"
-
Url="page.php"
QS ="?b=2"
Result="page.php?b=2"
What methods are there to get JPQL to match similar strings?
By similar I mean:
Contains: search string is found within the string of the matches entity
Case-insensitive
Small mispellings: e.g. "arow" matches "arrow"
I suspect the first two will be easy, however, I would appreciate help with the last one
Thank you
Hi,
is there any way to remove what found between two lines that contain two concrete strings?
I mean: I want to remove anything found between 'heaven' and 'hell' in a text file with this text:
I'm in heaven
foobar
I'm in hell
After executing the script/function i'm asking the text file will be empty.
Regards
Javi
I have something like
public class Controller {
[Observer("fetchEmployeesEvent")]
public function fetchEmployees() : void {
//doSomething
}
}
and I want something like
public class Controller {
public static const FETCH_EMPLOYEES_EVENT : String = "fetchEmployeesEvent";
[Observer(FETCH_EMPLOYEES_EVENT)]
public function fetchEmployees() : void {
//doSomething
}
}
My problem is that only the first code snippet works. Flex seems to ignore the constant FETCH_EMPLOYEES_EVENT in the metadata-tag.
My question is: Is it somehow possible to use constant strings in metadata?
I know that the following regex will match "red", "green", or "blue".
red|green|blue
Is there a straightforward way of making it match everything except several specified strings?
Quick question:
While debugging Java code, Strings show up only till a certain length, after which Eclipse shows "..."
Is there any way to inspect the entire string? (This eases the pain of adding logging statements for debugging everywhere)
Does anyone know of a good way to encrypt and decrypt strings using VB6 to ensure sensitive data is secure?
Also, is there an encryption method that can be shared between VB6 and .NET?
Example:
The encrypted string will be written to a database using a VB6 application, but the value also need to be read an decrypted in a c# .net application using the .net framework if possible.
Thanks!
I have to test a web app and its API for UTF-8 strings.
Webapp has a text field and its API has corresponding getter method, I have to make sure UTF-8 will work, how do I do that?
I have a strings like \uXXXX (representation) and I need to convert it into unicode.
I recieve it from 3rd party service so python interpreter don't convert it and I need convertion in my code.
How do I do it in Python?
>>> s
u'\\u0e4f\\u032f\\u0361\\u0e4f'
The == is used to compare two string in shell script, however I want to compare two strings by ignoring case, how it can be done.Do we any standard command for this.
I created an Entity Framework file. My database is called MyDB. My Entity Framework file is MyDB.edmx and I used an existing connection string (MyDBConnectionString) to generate the edmx model.
It created two more connection strings:
MyDBEntities
MyDBContainer
What are these for? They look exactly the same and both have the information from my old connection string.
Do I still need my old connection string?
Reporting services use format strings to auto format cell data. For example "c2" formats a cell to be displayed as currency with a decimal precision of 2.
Does anyone know where I'd find a comprehensive list off all the different formats available?
I've created a simple Chrome extension that seeks for certain strings using regex and replaces matches with predefined text. It works well on most websites, but somehow the script doesn't take effect on, for example, Lifehacker (like this page http://lifehacker.com/5939740/five-best-audio-editing-applications?popular=true ).
The code is:
$('p, h1, h2, h3, span, .content, .post-body').each(function(){
//do something with $(this)
});
Any ideas why is Lifehacker's site resistant to my script?
given a list of python strings, how can I automatically convert them to their correct type? Meaning, if I have:
["hello", "3", "3.64", "-1"]
I'd like this to be converted to the list
["hello", 3, 3.64, -1]
where the first element is a stirng, the second an int, the third a float and the fourth an int.
how can I do this? thanks.
