    I am close to starting a new website for a small business which imports products from USA to Australia. The wholesaler says he will allow my client to be the sole distributor for Australia & New Zealand. I'm not sure what CMS or shopping cart software to use yet, but it will need to include an affiliate system to allow advertisers to push customers our way. I'm searching for a tiny application to register my working hours so when I come to work and power on my pc it register my entrance and as a power off my pc it register me left. I know it's as simple as adding a note in gedit but I want it automated, phproject has a timer application as you start a task you push start and as you finish calculate time to register fot task , I'm searching for such small timer. thanks

    I've been using GoDaddy to manage about 50 domain names for a few years, but recently decided to move (probably to namecheap) because of the elephant killing incident. One GoDaddy's feature I like a lot is Consolidate, which allows you to change the expiration date of domain names for a small fee. I've searched for a while but didn't find any other registrar that provides this feature. Does anyone know if there's a registrar that allows you to change the expiration date of domains? Thanks!

    What are the prebaked or precomputed explosions or fractures from a programmer viewpoint ?   • How often do you use data structures (ie Binary Trees, Linked Lists) in your jobs/side projects?

    It seems to me that, for everyday use, more primitive data structures like arrays get the job done just as well as a binary tree would. My question is how common is to use these structures when writing code for projects at work or projects that you pursue in your free time? I understand the better insertion time/deletion time/sorting time for certain structures but would that really matter that much if you were working with a relatively small amount of data?

  • Is there a way to hide text from descriptions in Google search results

    The first line of text on all of our client's product pages is "Download hi-res images", which of course isn't what we'd want in the description when people search for their products. Is there any way to hide this text/link so that Google and the others just ignore it and go on into the text description below? I suppose we could use a meta-description, but the client isn't very good at computers and it's such a small site it seems silly.

  • Looking for WYSIWYG tool to create and edit HTML5 based presentations (slides)

    There are a lot of different implementations for HTML5 based slide presentations out there, like Google Slides or S5. But all that I have seen so far, seem to need a person being able to (and willing to) read and write HTML-Code. My company still uses Powerpoint, but some people are quite unhappy about its limitedness, e.g. the lack of possibilites to embed animation (other than just appear/disappear) without using flash. I'd love to suggest a state-of-the-art solution based on HTML5, but I don't even need to think about suggesting a solution where the project people need a techie to add or edit the content of a slide. I am not looking for an editor for non-technies to create complex HTML5/javascript based animations, of course, those should be done by a developer... basically non-technies should be capable of doing the stuff they are doing in powerpoint now.
