  • UISearchBarBackground Class

    - by Jim Bonner
I am using the following piece of code to hide the background on a UISearchBar: [[searchView.subviews objectAtIndex:0] setHidden:YES]; Pretty simple, but I worry about hard coding a position in a subview list. So I went looking for the UISearchBarBackground.h file and cannot find it. Does any know where the definition is hiding?

  • Building DLL via Maven with mojo-native

    - by graham.reeds
I can build a simple dll consisting of a source file, a header file and a definition but now I am progressing beyond a simple toy dll and working towards something more complex. The DLL I am trying to compile has 2 source files, 2 headers and the dreaded stdafx pair. To compile normally you would use /Yc to compile the pch and /Yu to use it. How do you specify that with in the constraints of mojo-native's compiler options?

  • File Folder copy

    - by Dario Dias
Below is the VBScript code. If the file/s or folder exist I get scripting error, "File already exists". How to fix that? How to create folder only if it does not exist and copy files only that are new or do not exist in source path? How to insert the username (Point 1) after "Welcome" and at (Poin 3) instead of user cancelled? Can the buttons be changed to Copy,Update,Cancel instead of Yes,No,Cancel? (Point 2) The code: Set objFSO = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject") Set wshShell = WScript.CreateObject( "WScript.Shell" ) strUserName = wshShell.ExpandEnvironmentStrings( "%USERNAME%" ) Message = " Welcome to the AVG Update Module" & vbCR '1* Message = Message & " *****************************" & vbCR & vbCR Message = Message & " Click Yes to Copy Definition Files" & vbCR & vbCR Message = Message & " OR " & vbCR & vbCR Message = Message & " Click No to Update Definition Files." & vbCR & vbCR Message = Message & " Click Cancel (ESC) to Exit." & vbCR & vbCR X = MsgBox(Message, vbYesNoCancel, "AVG Update Module") '2* 'Yes Selected Script If X = 6 then objFSO.FolderExists("E:\Updates") if TRUE then objFSO.CreateFolder ("E:\Updates") objFSO.CopyFile "c:\Docume~1\alluse~1\applic~1\avg8\update\download\*.*", "E:\Updates\" , OverwriteFiles MsgBox "Files Copied Succesfully.", vbInformation, "Copy Success" End If 'No Selected Script If X = 7 then objFSO.FolderExists("Updates") if TRUE then objFSO.CreateFolder("Updates") objFSO.CopyFile "E:\Updates\*.*", "Updates", OverwriteFiles Message = "Files Updated Successfully." & vbCR & vbCR Message = Message & "Click OK to Launch AVG GUI." & vbCR & vbCR Message = Message & "Click Cancel (ESC) to Exit." & vbCR & vbCR Y = MsgBox(Message, vbOKCancel, "Update Success") If Y = 1 then Set WshShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell") WshShell.Run chr(34) & "C:\Progra~1\avg\avg8\avgui.exe" & Chr(34), 0 Set WshShell = Nothing End if If Y = 3 then WScript.Quit End IF 'Cancel Selection Script If X = 2 then MsgBox "No Files have been Copied/Updated.", vbExclamation, "User Cancelled" '3* End if

  • What does it mean to "preconcat" a matrix?

    - by Brad Hein
In reviewing: http://developer.android.com/reference/android/graphics/Canvas.html I'm wondering translate(): "preconcat the current matrix with the specified translation" -- what does this mean? I can't find a good definition of "preconcat" anywhere on the internet! The only place I can find it is in the Android Source - I'm starting to wonder if they made it up? :) I'm familiar with "concat" or concatenate, which is to append to, so what is a pre-concat?

  • forward declare typedef'd struct

    - by Steve
I can't figure out how to forward declare a windows struct. The definition is typedef struct _CONTEXT { .... } CONTEXT, *PCONTEXT I really don't want to pull into this header, as it gets included everywhere. I've tried struct CONTEXT and struct _CONTEXT with no luck (redefinition of basic types with the actuall struct in winnt.h.

  • Objective C: Initalizing static variable with static method call

    - by adranale
The Compiler claims an error saying: "initializer element is not constant", when I try to initialize a static variable inside a method with a call to a static method (with + in its definition). Anyway I can tell him that this method always returns the same value. I know this is not the same as static method, but there seems to be no constant methods in Objective-C (other than macros which won't work here because I am calling UI_USER_INTERFACE_IDIOM() from inside the method).

  • JavaCC: Please help me understand token ambiguity.

    - by java.is.for.desktop
Hello, everyone! I had already many problems with understanding, how ambiguous tokens can be handled elegantly (or somehow at all) in JavaCC. Let's take this example: I want to parse XML processing instruction. The format is: "<?" <target> <data> "?>": target is an XML name, data can be anything except ?>, because it's the closing tag. So, lets define this in JavaCC: (I use lexical states, in this case DEFAULT and PROC_INST) TOKEN : <#NAME : (very-long-definition-from-xml-1.1-goes-here) > TOKEN : <WSS : (" " | "\t")+ > // WSS = whitespaces <DEFAULT> TOKEN : {<PI_START : "<?" > : PROC_INST} <PROC_INST> TOKEN : {<PI_TARGET : <NAME> >} <PROC_INST> TOKEN : {<PI_DATA : ~[] >} // accept everything <PROC_INST> TOKEN : {<PI_END : "?>" > : DEFAULT} Now the part which recognizes processing instructions: void PROC_INSTR() : {} { ( <PI_START> (t=<PI_TARGET>){System.out.println("target: " + t.image);} <WSS> (t=<PI_DATA>){System.out.println("data: " + t.image);} <PI_END> ) {} } The problem is (i guess): hence <PI_DATA> recognizes "everything", my definition is wrong. Let's test it with <?mytarget here-goes-some-data?>: The target is recognized: "target: mytarget". But now I get my favorite JavaCC parsing error: !! procinstparser.ParseException: Encountered "" at line 1, column 15. !! Was expecting one of: !! Encountered nothing? Was expecting nothing? Or what? Thank you, JavaCC! I know, that I could use the MORE keyword of JavaCC, but this would give me the whole processing instruction as one token, so I'd had to parse/tokenize it further by myself. Why should I do that? Am I writing a parser that does not parse? What I would need is telling JavaCC to recognize "everything until ?>" as processing instruction data. How can it be done? Thank you.

  • How to create a \newenvironment in latex for a scaled table

    - by markus
Hi, I try to define a table as a new environment. \newenvironment{scaledtable}[1]{% \begin{table}[h] \caption{xxx} \label{tab:xxx} \begin{center} \begin{tabular}{rcrrrrrrrrrrrrcc} }{ \hline \end{tabular} \end{center} \end{table}} The problem I have is that I can't use scalebox{}. If I put the closing bracket into the end definition of the environment, latex can't assign the brackets anymore. I also can not use PStricks because of pdflatex. /Markus

  • Visual Studio - Attach Source Code to Reference

    - by Joe
My C# project references a third-party DLL for which I have the source code. Can I somehow tell Visual Studio the location of that source code, so that, for example, when I press F12 to open the definition of a method in the DLL, it will open up the source code, instead of opening up the "Class [from metadata]" stub code?

  • XML Schema (XSD) to Rails ActiveRecord Mapping?

    - by Incomethax
I'm looking for a way to convert an XML Schema definition file into an ActiveRecord modeled database. Does anyone know of a tool that happens to do this? So far the best way I've found is to first load the XSD into an RDBMS like postgres or mysql and then have rails connect to do a rake db:schema:dump. This however, only leaves me with a database without rails Models. What would be the best way to import/load this xsd based database into rails?

  • Recursive breadth first tree traversal

    - by dugogota
I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to implement breadth first tree traversal in scheme. I've done it in Java and C++. If I had code, I'd post it but I'm not sure how exactly to begin. Given the tree definition below, how to implement breadth first search using recursion? (define tree1 '( A ( B (C () ()) (D () ()) ) (E (F () ()) (G () ())) )) Any help, any, is greatly appreciated.

  • Armchair Linguists: 'code' vs. 'codes'--or why I write 'code' and my manager asks for 'codes'

    - by Ukko
I wanted to tap into the collective wisdom here to see if I can get some insight into one of my pet peeves, people who thread "code" as a countable noun. Let me also preface this by saying that I am not talking about anyone who speaks english as a second language, this is a native phenomenon. For those of us who slept through grammar class there are two classes of nouns which basically refer to things that are countable and non-countable (sometimes referred to as count and noncount). For instance 'sand' is a non-count noun and 'apple' is count. You can talk about "two apples" but "two sands" does not parse. The bright students then would point out a word like "beer" where is looks like this is violated. Beer as a substance is certainly a non-count noun, but I can ask for "two beers" without offending the grammar police. The reason is that there are actually two words tied up in that one utterance, Definition #1 is a yummy golden substance and Definition #2 is a colloquial term for a container of said substance. #1 is non-count and #2 is countable. This gets to my problem with "codes" as a countable noun. In my mind the code that we programmers write is non-count, "I wrote some code today." When used in the plural like "Have you got the codes" I can only assume that you are asking if I have the cryptographically significant numbers for launching a missile or the like. Every time my peer in marketing asks about when we will have the new codes ready I have a vision of rooms of code breakers going over the latest Enigma coded message. I corrected the usage in all the documents I am asked to review, but then I noticed that our customer was also using the work "codes" when they meant "code". At this point I have realized that there is a significant sub-population that uses "codes" and they seem to be impervious to what I see as the dominant "correct" usage. This is the part I want some help on, has anyone else noticed this phenomenon? Do you know what group it is associated with, old Fortran programmer perhaps? Is it a regionalism? I have become quick to change my terms when I notice a customer's usage, but it would be nice to know if I am sending a proposal somewhere what style they expect. I would hate to get canned with a review of "Ha, these guy's must be morons they don't even know 'code' is plural!"

  • Amazing families of algorithms over implicit graphs

    - by Diego de Estrada
Dynamic programming is, almost by definition, to find a shortest/longest path on an implicit dag. Every DP algorithm just does this. An Holographic algorithm can be loosely described as something that counts perfect matchings in implicit planar graphs. So, my question is: are there any other families of algorithms that use well-known algorithms over implicit graphs to achieve a considerable speedup?

Thanks
