  • Need to know how to properly create a new object in another cpp file

    - by karikari
    I have a class. The problem now is, after a few attempt, I'm still in huge error. My problem is I don't know how to properly declare a new object for this class, inside another cpp file. I wanted to call/trigger the functions from this RebarHandler class from my other cpp file. I keep on getting problems like, 'used without being initialized', 'debug assertion failed' and so on. In the other cpp file, I include the RebarHandler.h and did like this: CRebarHandler *test=NULL; test->setButtonMenu2(); When compile, I does not give any error. But, when run time, it gives error and my IE crash. I need help. Below is the class I meant: #pragma once class CIEWindow; class CRebarHandler : public CWindowImpl<CRebarHandler>{ public: CRebarHandler(HWND hWndToolbar, CIEWindow *ieWindow); CRebarHandler(){}; ~CRebarHandler(); BEGIN_MSG_MAP(CRebarHandler) NOTIFY_CODE_HANDLER(TBN_DROPDOWN, onNotifyDropDown) NOTIFY_CODE_HANDLER(TBN_TOOLBARCHANGE, onNotifyToolbarChange) NOTIFY_CODE_HANDLER(NM_CUSTOMDRAW, onNotifyCustomDraw) NOTIFY_CODE_HANDLER(TBN_ENDADJUST, onNotifyEndAdjust) MESSAGE_HANDLER(WM_SETREDRAW, onSetRedraw) END_MSG_MAP() // message handlers LRESULT onNotifyDropDown(WPARAM wParam, LPNMHDR pNMHDR, BOOL& bHandled); LRESULT onNotifyToolbarChange(WPARAM wParam, LPNMHDR pNMHDR, BOOL& bHandled); LRESULT onNotifyCustomDraw(WPARAM wParam, LPNMHDR pNMHDR, BOOL& bHandled); LRESULT onNotifyEndAdjust(WPARAM wParam, LPNMHDR pNMHDR, BOOL& bHandled); LRESULT onSetRedraw(UINT uMsg, WPARAM wParam, LPARAM lParam, BOOL& bHandled); // manage the subclassing of the IE rebar void subclass(); void unsubclass(); void handleSettings(); void setButtonMenu2(); bool findButton(HWND hWndToolbar); private: // handles to the various things HWND m_hWnd; HWND m_hWndToolbar, m_hWndRebar, m_hWndTooltip; HMENU m_hMenu; int m_buttonID; int m_ieVer; CIEWindow *m_ieWindow; // toolbar finding functions void scanForToolbarSlow(); void getRebarHWND(); void setButtonMenu(); };

  • CSS Hidden DIV Form Submit

    - by Michael
    Using CSS, when a link is clicked it brings up a hidden DIV that contains a form. The user will then enter information and then submit the form. I'd like the hidden DIV to remain visisble, and a 'success message' to be displayed after submission. Then the user will have the option of closing the DIV. I can't get it to work without reloading the page, which causes the DIV to become hidden again. Any ideas? <body> <a href="javascript:showDiv()" style="color: #fff;">Click Me</a> <!--POPUP--> <div id="hideshow" style="visibility:hidden;"> <div id="fade"></div> <div class="popup_block"> <div class="popup"> <a href="javascript:hideDiv()"> <img src="images/icon_close.png" class="cntrl" title="Close" /> </a> <h3>Remove Camper</h3> <form method="post" onsubmit="email.php"> <p><input name="Name" type="text" /></p> <p><input name="Submit" type="submit" value="submit" /></p> </form> <div id="status" style="display:none;">success</div> </div> </div> </div> <!--END POPUP--> <script language=javascript type='text/javascript'> function hideDiv() { if (document.getElementById) { // DOM3 = IE5, NS6 document.getElementById('hideshow').style.visibility = 'hidden'; } else { if (document.layers) { // Netscape 4 document.hideshow.visibility = 'hidden'; } else { // IE 4 document.all.hideshow.style.visibility = 'hidden'; } } } function showDiv() { if (document.getElementById) { // DOM3 = IE5, NS6 document.getElementById('hideshow').style.visibility = 'visible'; } else { if (document.layers) { // Netscape 4 document.hideshow.visibility = 'visible'; } else { // IE 4 document.all.hideshow.style.visibility = 'visible'; } } } </script> </body>

  • How to make Dropdown menu using :hover on <a> in place of hover on <ul>?

    - by metal-gear-solid
    IE 6 only support :Hover on <a> then can we make css drop down using :hover on <a> http://htmldog.com/articles/suckerfish/dropdowns/ This example use JavaScript to add hover on LI 'sfhover' class to li elements in the 'nav' id'd ul element when they are 'moused over' and removes it, using a regular expression, when 'moused out'. So now we've got the Suckerfish pumping out new classes, the next step is to simply duplicate the :hover selector with 'sfhover' class selectors:

  • Implementing the server side of Webhooks

    - by Howiecamp
    If I want to Webhooks-enable a web application (I'm referring to the server-side of things, ie the server where the event happens and the callback is initiated from), are there libraries for this, or is this functionality typically part of the web server stack? Or, am I looking at this incorrectly, and to implement Webhooks I simply code my application to do an HTTP POST callback based on whatever events I care about?

Is there any easy way to do this with out exploding the string and doing if statements for mins/hours.. etc? Also this is on a php page would it be easier to do this in php then echo it to the javascript? Thanks for the help!

  • Convert integer to formatted LPCWSTR. C++

    - by Mr Bell
    I have a direct3d project that uses D3DXCreateTextureFromFile() to load some images. This function takes a LPCWSTR for the path to file. I want to load a series of textures that are numbered consecutively (ie. MyImage0001.jpg, MyImage0002.jpg, etc) But c++'s crazy strings confuse me. How do i: for(int i=0; i < 3;i++) { //How do I convert i into a string path i can use with D3DXCreateTextureFromFile? }

  • Is it safe to draw three separate QImages in three separate QThreads?

    - by yan bellavance
    I have a QMainWindow with three widgets inside that are promoted to a class containing a subclassed QThread. They each draw on a local QImage in their rexpective qthread which is sent with a signal once its drawn and then rendered by calling update (mandlebrot example) from the slot. Is this safe or dangerous? They do not share any data, at least none that I am generating and am wondering what data they could be sharing that is outside of my coding range ie that is generated by Qt automatically.

  • Can I use Linq-to-xml to persist my object state without having to use/know Xpath & XSD Syntax?

    - by Greg
    Hi, Can I use Linq-to-xml to persist my object state without having to use/know Xpath & XSD Syntax? ie. really looking for simple but flexible way to persist a graph of object data (e.g. have say 2 or 3 classes with associations) - if Linq-to-xml were as simple as saying "persist this graph to XML", and then you could also query it via Linq, or load it into memory again/change/then re-save to the xml file.

  • Need to tab out of ActiveX control in browser

    - by John Donoghue
    When tabbing through controls in an ActiveX control hosted in IE, once I get to the last control the tab key no longer does anything. I would like it to move the focus outside the ActiveX control to the next html control. This works fine when the ActiveX control is hosted in a WinForms app, does anybody know how to make this work in the browser? It may also be relevant that the ActiveX control is a simple wrapper around a WPF control.

  • Paginating data, has to be a better way

    - by John Tyler
    I've read like 10 or so "tutorials", and they all involve the same thing: Pull a count of the data set Pull the relevant data set (LIMIT, OFFSET) IE: SELECT COUNT(*) FROM table WHERE something = ? SELECT * FROM table WHERE something =? LIMIT ? offset ?` Two very similar queries, no? There has to be a better way to do this, my dataset is 600,000+ rows and already sluggish (results are determined by over 30 where clauses, and vary from user to user, but are properly indexed of course).
