  • How to extract 4th line from 300 text files?

    - by Twoopah
    I have about 300 emails (gmail) that go like this: Dear [name] Order ID:123456789 Purchased by: [name I need] (blah blah another 26 lines of crap (total of 30 lines)) What I need help is how to save gmail's mails locally into .txt and how to export 4th line from each text file. I can easily run Replace 'Purchased by: ' to remove that and keep only the names from that line in a list, but other than that I have no clue Any ideas?

  • Which connector do I need for a "line level" subwoofer?

    - by Ben Brocka
    I've got a separate pair of speakers and I'm looking at adding a subwoofer (this, specifically). I noticed on the detail page it's inputs are listed as such: Inputs: Speaker level, line level If I'm not mistaken "line level" are the standard 3.5 audio jacks on your motherboard/sound card, right? My motherboard has the standard 6 ports for sound, if I get a subwoofer like this can I simply plug the input into the orange 3.5 jack? My audio software supports up to 7.1 so software-wise, 2.1 wouldn't be a problem.

  • Why isn't uploadify and asp.net mvc 2 playing nice for me?

    - by Paperino
    First of all, I've checked out all the SO threads, and googled my brains out. I must be missing something obvious. I'd really appreciate some help! This is what I've got. UploadController.cs using System.Web; using System.Web.Mvc; namespace NIMDocs.Controllers { public class UploadController : Controller { public ActionResult Index() { return View(); } public string Procssed(HttpPostedFileBase FileData) { // DO STUFF return "DUHR I AM SMART"; } } } Index for Upload <%@ Page Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage" %> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" > <head> <title>ITS A TITLE </title> <script src="../../Content/jqueryPlugins/uploadify/jquery-1.3.2.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="../../Content/jqueryPlugins/uploadify/swfobject.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="../../Content/jqueryPlugins/uploadify/jquery.uploadify.v2.1.0.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { $('#uploadify').fileUpload({ 'uploader': '../../Content/jqueryPlugins/uploadify/uploadify.swf', 'script': '/Upload/Processed', 'folder': '/uploads', 'multi': 'true', 'buttonText': 'Browse', 'displayData': 'speed', 'simUploadLimit': 2, 'cancelImg': '/Content/Images/cancel.png' }); }); </script> </head> <body> <input type="file" name="uploadify" id="uploadify" /> <p><a href="javascript:jQuery('#uploadify').uploadifyClearQueue()">Cancel All Uploads</a></p> </body> </html> What am I missing here? I've tried just about every path permutation for uploadify's "uploader" option. Absolute path, '/' prefixed, etc.

  • UIView drawRect: when you draw a line, the rect area will be clear so the previous drawing is gone

    - by snakewa
    It is quite hard to tell so I upload an image to show my problem: http://i42.tinypic.com/2eezamo.jpg Basically in drawRect, I will draw the line from touchesMoved as finger touches and I will call "needsDisplayInRect" for redraw. But I found that the first line is done, the second line will clear the rect part, so some previouse drawing is gone. Here is my implementation: enter code here -(void) drawRect:(CGRect)rect{ //[super drawRect: rect]; CGContextRef context = UIGraphicsGetCurrentContext(); [self drawSquiggle:squiggle at:rect inContext:context]; } - (void)drawSquiggle:(Squiggle *)squiggle at:(CGRect) rect inContext:(CGContextRef)context { CGContextSetBlendMode(context, kCGBlendModeMultiply); UIColor *squiggleColor = squiggle.strokeColor; // get squiggle's color CGColorRef colorRef = [squiggleColor CGColor]; // get the CGColor CGContextSetStrokeColorWithColor(context, colorRef); NSMutableArray *points = [squiggle points]; // get points from squiggle // retrieve the NSValue object and store the value in firstPoint CGPoint firstPoint; // declare a CGPoint [[points objectAtIndex:0] getValue:&firstPoint]; // move to the point CGContextMoveToPoint(context, firstPoint.x, firstPoint.y); // draw a line from each point to the next in order for (int i = 1; i < [points count]; i++) { NSValue *value = [points objectAtIndex:i]; // get the next value CGPoint point; // declare a new point [value getValue:&point]; // store the value in point // draw a line to the new point CGContextAddLineToPoint(context, point.x, point.y); } // end for CGContextStrokePath(context); }

  • Migration for creating and deleting model in South

    - by Almad
    I've created a model and created initial migration for it: db.create_table('tvguide_tvguide', ( ('id', models.AutoField(primary_key=True)), ('date', models.DateField(_('Date'), auto_now=True, db_index=True)), )) db.send_create_signal('tvguide', ['TVGuide']) models = { 'tvguide.tvguide': { 'channels': ('models.ManyToManyField', ["orm['tvguide.Channel']"], {'through': "'ChannelInTVGuide'"}), 'date': ('models.DateField', ["_('Date')"], {'auto_now': 'True', 'db_index': 'True'}), 'id': ('models.AutoField', [], {'primary_key': 'True'}) } } complete_apps = ['tvguide'] Now, I'd like to drop it: db.drop_table('tvguide_tvguide') However, I have also deleted corresponding model.   • Installing PyGraphViz on Windows, Python 2.7

    - by user574043
    I can't install pygraphviz on Windows XP. I'm using Python27. Before to launch the setup I've changet these two variables of the setup.py file library_path="C:\\Archivos de programa\\Graphviz 2.28\\bin" include_path="C:\\Archivos de programa\\Graphviz 2.28\\include\\graphviz" Then I've launched the setup. I'm using mingw32 as a compiler. I don't know what can I do now. I'm using the following command: C:\Python27\pygraphviz-1.1>c:\python27\python setup.py build -c mingw32 And I've got the folling result library_path=C:\Archivos de programa\Graphviz 2.28\bin include_path=C:\Archivos de programa\Graphviz 2.28\include\graphviz running build running build_py running build_ext building 'pygraphviz._graphviz' extension C:\MinGW\bin\gcc.exe -mno-cygwin -mdll -O -Wall "-IC:\Archivos de programa\Graphviz 2.28\include\graphviz" -Ic:\python27\include -Ic:\python 27\PC -c pygraphviz/graphviz_wrap.c -o build\temp.win32-2.7\Release\pygraphviz\graphviz_wrap.o pygraphviz/graphviz_wrap.c: In function 'agattr_label': pygraphviz/graphviz_wrap.c:2855:5: warning: return makes integer from pointer without a cast writing build\temp.win32-2.7\Release\pygraphviz\_graphviz.def Traceback (most recent call last): File "setup.py", line 146, in <module> package_data = package_data File "c:\python27\lib\distutils\core.py", line 152, in setup dist.run_commands() File "c:\python27\lib\distutils\dist.py", line 953, in run_commands self.run_command(cmd) File "c:\python27\lib\distutils\dist.py", line 972, in run_command cmd_obj.run() File "c:\python27\lib\distutils\command\build.py", line 127, in run self.run_command(cmd_name) File "c:\python27\lib\distutils\cmd.py", line 326, in run_command self.distribution.run_command(command) File "c:\python27\lib\distutils\dist.py", line 972, in run_command cmd_obj.run() File "c:\python27\lib\distutils\command\build_ext.py", line 340, in run self.build_extensions() File "c:\python27\lib\distutils\command\build_ext.py", line 449, in build_extensions self.build_extension(ext) File "c:\python27\lib\distutils\command\build_ext.py", line 531, in build_extension target_lang=language) File "c:\python27\lib\distutils\ccompiler.py", line 741, in link_shared_object extra_preargs, extra_postargs, build_temp, target_lang) File "c:\python27\lib\distutils\cygwinccompiler.py", line 260, in link target_lang) File "c:\python27\lib\distutils\unixccompiler.py", line 218, in link libraries) File "c:\python27\lib\distutils\ccompiler.py", line 1121, in gen_lib_options opt = compiler.runtime_library_dir_option(dir) File "c:\python27\lib\distutils\unixccompiler.py", line 285, in runtime_library_dir_option compiler = os.path.basename(sysconfig.get_config_var("CC")) File "c:\python27\lib\ntpath.py", line 198, in basename return split(p)[1] File "c:\python27\lib\ntpath.py", line 170, in split d, p = splitdrive(p) File "c:\python27\lib\ntpath.py", line 125, in splitdrive if p[1:2] == ':': TypeError: 'NoneType' object is not subscriptable Any idea on how to solve it over windows?   • Why isn't pyinstaller making me an .exe file?

    - by Matt Miller
    I am attempting to follow this guide to make a simple Hello World script into an .exe file. I have Windows Vista with an AMD 64-bit processor I have installed Python 2.6.5 (Windows AMD64 version) I have set the PATH (if that's the right word) so that the command line recognizes Python I have installed UPX (there only seems to be a 32-bit version for Windows) and pasted a copy of upx.exe into the Python26 folder as instructed. I have installed Pywin (Windows AMD 64 Python 2.6 version) I have run Pyinstaller's Configure.py. It gives some error messages but seems to complete. I don't know if this is what's causing the problem, so the following is what it says when I run it: C:\Python26\Pyinstaller\branches\py26winConfigure.py I: read old config from C:\Python26\Pyinstaller\branches\py26win\config.dat I: computing EXE_dependencies I: Finding TCL/TK... • Where can I find a nice .NET Tab Control for free?

    - by Nazgulled
    I'm doing this application in C# using the free Krypton Toolkit but the Krypton Navigator is a paid product which is rather expensive for me and this application is being developed on my free time and it will be available to the public for free. So, I'm looking for a free control to integrate better into my Krypton application because the default one doesn't quite fit and it will be different depending on the OS version... Any suggestions? P.S: I know I could owner-draw it but I'm trying not to have that kind of work... I prefer something already done if it exists for free. EDIT: I just found exactly what I wanted: http://www.angelonline.net/CodeSamples/Lib_3.5.0.zip

  • Is SQLDataReader slower than using the command line utility sqlcmd?

    - by Andrew
    I was recently advocating to a colleague that we replace some C# code that uses the sqlcmd command line utility with a SqlDataReader. The old code uses: System.Diagnostics.ProcessStartInfo procStartInfo = new System.Diagnostics.ProcessStartInfo("cmd", "/c " + sqlCmd); wher sqlCmd is something like "sqlcmd -S " + serverName + " -y 0 -h-1 -Q " + "\"" + "USE [" + database + "]" + ";+ txtQuery.Text +"\"";\ The results are then parsed using regular expressions. I argued that using a SQLDataReader woud be more in line with industry practices, easier to debug and maintain and probably faster. However, the SQLDataReader approach is at least the same speed and quite possibly slower. I believe I'm doing everything correctly with SQLDataReader. The code is: using (SqlConnection connection = new SqlConnection()) { try { SqlConnectionStringBuilder builder = new SqlConnectionStringBuilder(connectionString); connection.ConnectionString = builder.ToString(); ; SqlCommand command = new SqlCommand(queryString, connection); connection.Open(); SqlDataReader reader = command.ExecuteReader(); // do stuff w/ reader reader.Close(); } catch (Exception ex) { outputMessage += (ex.Message); } } I've used System.Diagnostics.Stopwatch to time both approaches and the command line utility (called from C# code) does seem faster (20-40%?). The SqlDataReader has the neat feature that when the same code is called again, it's lightening fast, but for this application we don't anticipate that. I have already done some research on this problem. I note that the command line utility sqlcmd uses OLE DB technology to hit the database. Is that faster than ADO.NET? I'm really suprised, especially since the command line utility approach involves starting up a process. I really thought it would be slower. Any thoughts? Thanks, Dave

  • How to limit JTextArea max Rows and Coloums?

    - by Billbo bug
    I am using JTextArea in JScrollPane I want to limit the maximum number of lines possible and the maximum chars in each line. I need that the string will be exactly like on the screen, each line will end with '\n' (if there another line after it) and the user will be able to insert only X lines and Y chars in each line. I tried to limit the lines but i don't know exactly how many lines do i have because of the line wrapping, The line wrapping is starting new line visualy on the screen(because of the width of the JTextArea) but in the string of the component it is really the same line with no '\n' to indicate new line. I do not have an idea how to limit the max chars in each line while typing. There are 2 stages: The typing of the string- keep that the user will not be able to type more then X lines and Y chars in each line. (even if the line wrap only visualy or the user typed '/n') Insert the string to the DB- after cliking 'OK' convert the string that every line will end with "/n" even if the user did not typed it and the line was wrapped only visualy. There are few problems if i will count the chars in the line and insert '/n' in the end of the line, thats why i decided to do it in two stages. In the first stage ehile the user is typing i would rather only limit it visualy and force line wrpping or something similar. Only in the second stage when i save string i will add the '/n' even if the user did not typed it in the end of the lines! Does anyone have an idea? I know that i will have to use DocumentFilter OR StyledDocument. Here is sample code that limit only the lines to 3:(but not the chars in row to 19) private JTextArea textArea ; textArea = new JTextArea(3,19); textArea .setLineWrap(true); textArea .setDocument(new LimitedStyledDocument(3)); JScrollPane scrollPane = new JScrollPane(textArea public class LimitedStyledDocument extends DefaultStyledDocument /** Field maxCharacters */ int maxLines; public LimitedStyledDocument(int maxLines) { maxCharacters = maxLines; } public void insertString(int offs, String str, AttributeSet attribute) throws BadLocationException { Element root = this.getDefaultRootElement(); int lineCount = getLineCount(str); if (lineCount + root.getElementCount() <= maxLines){ super.insertString(offs, str, attribute); } else { Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().beep(); } } /** * get Line Count * * @param str * @return the count of '\n' in the String */ private int getLineCount(String str){ String tempStr = new String(str); int index; int lineCount = 0; while (tempStr.length() > 0){ index = tempStr.indexOf("\n"); if(index != -1){ lineCount++; tempStr = tempStr.substring(index+1); } else{ break; } } return lineCount; } }

  • What is the new line marker in an uploaded Word doc?

    - by Donde
    I am attempting to uplaod a Word doc and then write it line by line in HTML. I made a referecne to the Microsoft Word Object Library. Then I use the following code to grab the and put it in a string variable. However, I have tried multiple regex statements to replace the new line character with "" but nothing I have tried has worked... Dim wordApp As New Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.Application Dim wordDoc As New Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.Document Dim file As Object = "C:\test.doc" Dim nullobj As Object = System.Reflection.Missing.Value wordDoc = wordApp.Documents.Open(file, nullobj, nullobj, nullobj, nullobj, nullobj, nullobj, nullobj, nullobj, nullobj, nullobj, nullobj) Dim strArticle As String = wordDoc.Content.Text 'It's not finding the new line marker here strArticle = Regex.Replace(strArticle, ControlChars.NewLine, "<BR>")

  • Change color on single-series line chart using rCharts and Highcharts?

    - by Sharon
    Is it possible to change the color of a line using rCharts and Highcharts so that the line color changes depending on a factor? I've done this with ggplot2 but would like to make an interactive version if possible. I've tried h1 <- Highcharts$new() h1$chart(type="line") h1$series(data=mydf$myvalue, name="", groups = c("myfactor")) h1$xAxis(tickInterval = 4, categories = mydf$myXaxis) but that's not working, line stays the same color. Sample data myvalue <- c(16, 18, 5, 14, 10) myXaxis <- c(1,2,3,4,5) myfactor <- c("old", "old", "old", "new", "new") mydf <- data.frame(myvalue, myXaxis, myfactor) Thanks for any suggestions.

  • Python read multiline JSON

    - by Paul W
    I have been trying to use JSON to store settings for a program. I can't seem to get Python 2.6 's JSON Decoder to decode multi-line JSON strings... Here is example input: .settings file: """ {\ 'user':'username',\ 'password':'passwd',\ }\ """ I have tried a couple other syntaxes for this file, which I will specify below (with the traceback they cause). My python code for reading the file in is import json settings_text = open(".settings", "r").read() settings = json.loads(settings_text) The Traceback for this is: Traceback (most recent call last): File "json_test.py", line 4, in <module> print json.loads(text) File "/System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/lib/python2.6/json/__init__.py", line 307, in loads return _default_decoder.decode(s) File "/System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/lib/python2.6/json/decoder.py", line 322, in decode raise ValueError(errmsg("Extra data", s, end, len(s))) ValueError: Extra data: line 1 column 2 - line 7 column 1 (char 2 - 41) I assume the "Extra data" is the triple-quote. • python: how to jump to a particular line in a huge text file?

    - by photographer
    Are there any alternatives to the code below: startFromLine = 141978 # or whatever line I need to jump to urlsfile = open(filename, "rb", 0) linesCounter = 1 for line in urlsfile: if linesCounter > startFromLine: DoSomethingWithThisLine(line) linesCounter += 1 if I'm processing a huge text file (~15MB) with lines of unknown but different length, and need to jump to a particular line which number I know in advance? I feel bad by processing them one by one when I know I could ignore at least first half of the file. Looking for more elegant solution if there is any.

  • Moral fits the story or suggest me a nice moral?

    - by Gobi
    A 25 year old son was sitting beside his old father in a train one day. When the train was about to leave, all the passengers started settling down in their seats. The son was filled with joy and anxiety. He was seated by the window. He put his hand out and felt the breeze and screamed, “ Papa look at all the trees, they are moving behind”. The old father smiled and admired his son’s feelings. Beside the old man, a couple was also travelling and observed this strange behavior. They found something awkward and childish in the behavior of this 25 year old man. All of a sudden, the son shouted again “Papa see! The clouds are moving about; there is a pond down and many cows are drinking it’s water”. It soon started drizzling. Once again, the young man felt exited and said “papa, I can see and feel the rain drops touching my hand”. The couple seeing this and feeling concerned, asked the old man “why don’t you consult a good doctor and treat your son; don’t you find something abnormally different in him ?” The old man replied, “Yes, I have provided the best treatment for my only boy. We are just returning from the hospital. I am happy for today is the day he has received his sense of sight. It’s for the first time my son is seeing and relishing these little wonders which we have been watching and ignoring in our routine life!” The couple had no words to reply and felt sorry for their remarks. Moral of the story: “ “don’t judge a book by its cover”. is this the moral fits the story or provide me some moral for this story :)

  • Why does Python's math.factorial not play nice with threads?

    - by W1N9Zr0
    Why does math.factorial act so weird in a thread? Here is an example, it creates three threads: thread that just sleeps for a while thread that increments an int for a while thread that does math.factorial on a large number. It calls start on the threads, then join with a timeout The sleep and spin threads work as expected and return from start right away, and then sit in the join for the timeout. The factorial thread on the other hand does not return from start until it runs to the end! import sys from threading import Thread from time import sleep, time from math import factorial # Helper class that stores a start time to compare to class timed_thread(Thread): def __init__(self, time_start): Thread.__init__(self) self.time_start = time_start # Thread that just executes sleep() class sleep_thread(timed_thread): def run(self): sleep(15) print "st DONE:\t%f" % (time() - time_start) # Thread that increments a number for a while class spin_thread(timed_thread): def run(self): x = 1 while x < 120000000: x += 1 print "sp DONE:\t%f" % (time() - time_start) # Thread that calls math.factorial with a large number class factorial_thread(timed_thread): def run(self): factorial(50000) print "ft DONE:\t%f" % (time() - time_start) # the tests print print "sleep_thread test" time_start = time() st = sleep_thread(time_start) st.start() print "st.start:\t%f" % (time() - time_start) st.join(2) print "st.join:\t%f" % (time() - time_start) print "sleep alive:\t%r" % st.isAlive() print print "spin_thread test" time_start = time() sp = spin_thread(time_start) sp.start() print "sp.start:\t%f" % (time() - time_start) sp.join(2) print "sp.join:\t%f" % (time() - time_start) print "sp alive:\t%r" % sp.isAlive() print print "factorial_thread test" time_start = time() ft = factorial_thread(time_start) ft.start() print "ft.start:\t%f" % (time() - time_start) ft.join(2) print "ft.join:\t%f" % (time() - time_start) print "ft alive:\t%r" % ft.isAlive() And here is the output on Python 2.6.5 on CentOS x64: sleep_thread test st.start: 0.000675 st.join: 2.006963 sleep alive: True spin_thread test sp.start: 0.000595 sp.join: 2.010066 sp alive: True factorial_thread test ft DONE: 4.475453 ft.start: 4.475589 ft.join: 4.475615 ft alive: False st DONE: 10.994519 sp DONE: 12.054668 I've tried this on python 2.6.5 on CentOS x64, 2.7.2 on Windows x86 and the factorial thread does not return from start on either of them until the thread is done executing. I've also tried this with PyPy 1.8.0 on Windows x86, and there result is slightly different. The start does return immediately, but then the join doesn't time out! sleep_thread test st.start: 0.001000 st.join: 2.001000 sleep alive: True spin_thread test sp.start: 0.000000 sp DONE: 0.197000 sp.join: 0.236000 sp alive: False factorial_thread test ft.start: 0.032000 ft DONE: 9.011000 ft.join: 9.012000 ft alive: False st DONE: 12.763000

  • Double Buffering for Game objects, what's a nice clean generic C++ way?

    - by Gary
    This is in C++. So, I'm starting from scratch writing a game engine for fun and learning from the ground up. One of the ideas I want to implement is to have game object state (a struct) be double-buffered. For instance, I can have subsystems updating the new game object data while a render thread is rendering from the old data by guaranteeing there is a consistent state stored within the game object (the data from last time). After rendering of old and updating of new is finished, I can swap buffers and do it again. Question is, what's a good forward-looking and generic OOP way to expose this to my classes while trying to hide implementation details as much as possible? Would like to know your thoughts and considerations. I was thinking operator overloading could be used, but how do I overload assign for a templated class's member within my buffer class? for instance, I think this is an example of what I want: doublebuffer<Vector3> data; data.x=5; //would write to the member x within the new buffer int a=data.x; //would read from the old buffer's x member data.x+=1; //I guess this shouldn't be allowed If this is possible, I could choose to enable or disable double-buffering structs without changing much code. This is what I was considering: template <class T> class doublebuffer{ T T1; T T2; T * current=T1; T * old=T2; public: doublebuffer(); ~doublebuffer(); void swap(); operator=()?... }; and a game object would be like this: struct MyObjectData{ int x; float afloat; } class MyObject: public Node { doublebuffer<MyObjectData> data; functions... } What I have right now is functions that return pointers to the old and new buffer, and I guess any classes that use them have to be aware of this. Is there a better way?

  • working on lists in python

    - by owca
    I'm trying to make a small modification to django lfs project, that will allow me to deactivate products with no stocks. Unfortunatelly I'm just beginning to learn python, so I have big trouble with its syntax. That's what I'm trying to do. I'm using method 'has_variants' which returns true if product has any. Then I'm building a list from variants for this product. Next for every product in this list (I've called it 'set') I check it's stock and set bool variable 'inactive' to true if product has no stocks and to false if there are any. Finally if 'inactive' is false I'm setting self.active to 0. Code fails in line with: set[] = s How to correct it ? def deactivate(self): """If there are no stocks, deactivate the product. Used in last step of checkout. """ if self.has_variants(): for s in self.variants.filter(active=True): set[] = s for var in set: if var.get_stock_amount() == 0: inactive = True else: inactive = False else: if self.get_stock_amount() == 0: inactive = True if inactive: self.active = False return 0 error log : Traceback (most recent call last): File "manage.py", line 11, in <module> execute_manager(settings) File "/home/purplecow/rails/purpledev/site-packages/django/core/management/__i nit__.py", line 362, in execute_manager utility.execute() File "/home/purplecow/rails/purpledev/site-packages/django/core/management/__i nit__.py", line 303, in execute self.fetch_command(subcommand).run_from_argv(self.argv) File "/home/purplecow/rails/purpledev/site-packages/django/core/management/bas e.py", line 195, in run_from_argv self.execute(*args, **options.__dict__) File "/home/purplecow/rails/purpledev/site-packages/django/core/management/bas e.py", line 213, in execute translation.activate('en-us') File "/home/purplecow/rails/purpledev/site-packages/django/utils/translation/_ _init__.py", line 73, in activate return real_activate(language) File "/home/purplecow/rails/purpledev/site-packages/django/utils/translation/_ _init__.py", line 43, in delayed_loader return g['real_%s' % caller](*args, **kwargs) File "/home/purplecow/rails/purpledev/site-packages/django/utils/translation/t rans_real.py", line 205, in activate _active[currentThread()] = translation(language) File "/home/purplecow/rails/purpledev/site-packages/django/utils/translation/t rans_real.py", line 194, in translation default_translation = _fetch(settings.LANGUAGE_CODE) File "/home/purplecow/rails/purpledev/site-packages/django/utils/translation/t rans_real.py", line 180, in _fetch app = import_module(appname) File "/home/purplecow/rails/purpledev/site-packages/django/utils/importlib.py" , line 35, in import_module __import__(name) File "/home/purplecow/rails/purpledev/lfs/caching/__init__.py", line 1, in <mo dule> from listeners import * File "/home/purplecow/rails/purpledev/lfs/caching/listeners.py", line 10, in < module> from lfs.cart.models import Cart File "/home/purplecow/rails/purpledev/lfs/cart/models.py", line 8, in <module> from lfs.catalog.models import Product File "/home/purplecow/rails/purpledev/lfs/catalog/__init__.py", line 1, in <mo dule> from listeners import * File "/home/purplecow/rails/purpledev/lfs/catalog/listeners.py", line 5, in <m odule> from lfs.catalog.models import PropertyGroup File "/home/purplecow/rails/purpledev/lfs/catalog/models.py", line 589 set[] = s ^ SyntaxError: invalid syntax

  • How to get Cocoa Emacs to jump to line number from external application?

    - by Fernando
    When using Carbon Emacs (v22) from an external application (ex. Unity 3D) files sent to Carbon Emacs would jump to the line number requested by the external application (ie. double click on an error message editor selected in preferences is started with file at error line number). For some reason the new Cocoa Emacs (v23) no longer does this. Instead it simply opens the file, but does not jump to the line number requested by the external application.
