Looking to expand a current J2EE project using JSTL and Apache Torque with some sort of template engine so we can easily modify the views.
Any suggestions?
whats the use of calling a cakephp function
http://localhost/project/controller/method.hello
so whats hello?
but it requires views/method/hello/method.ctp...
Eclipse has pretty cool JPA Structure and JPA Detail views along with a persistence.xml editor and a JPA perspective. However, I cannot seem to get them to "turn on". I had them all working several months ago, but something must have changed.
Any tips as to what secret sauce is needed to get them working again?
I have a dev project setup in a subfolder on my testing machine and it must stay there.
However all the Zend frameworks views are linked to server root.
CSS are linked like:
<link type="text/css" href="<?php echo $this->baseUrl('/css/frontend.css') ?>" rel="Stylesheet" />
Which must be stayed this way, but it should link to
localhost/a/b/c/prj1/css/frontend.css
How can I setup a global subdirectory for this?
Im currently working on the GUI for an ASP.NET MVC application using Visual Studio 2005. The visual webpage designer (for the views) is awful.
Any input on what other people use would be most appreciated!
hello all,
I m making an app which requires remote databse connection. I want the values in picker from database but when I click on button to invoke picker it takes some time to fetch the values and displaying. Is there any way to do it fast?
and also is there any way to reduce the time of transition between 2 views?
Thanx
I'm new to Django and have some code in my views.py like this:
try:
myfunction()
except:
assert False, sys.exc_info()[0]
This is very helpful because I get an email with lots of useful info if there's an error.
The problem is that it also redirects the user to a Webfaction system error page. What I'd like to know is how do I still get the useful error email, but redirect the user to my own error page?
Also, is this the best way to be handling errors in Django?
I have a navigation Controller Class in which i am supposed to use a Tab bar which shows three diffrent Views. I want to show 3 diffrent UIVIew of 3 diffrent classes . How to do this ? Thanks in advance.
When using Zend Studio to write views for a MVC framework, is there any way of having those variables autocomplete, perhaps using PHPdoc?
For example, I set a variable in a view called $cart which is an instance of my ShoppingCart class. When I type "$cart-", I'd like the IDE to pop up with all of the objects properties.
I currently have a SQL Server 2008 database in which I am planning to separate out some tables to other databases. I want to be able to replace all references to the separated tables from the original database using views. Is there a better way (other than manually changing all FK and SProc references) to switch all the dependencies to reference the view instead of the table?
I am having difficulty for using array model binding.
Actually I can see that the values sent from the views are not binded to the model and the arrays still have the values already instantiated. How can I solve this problem?
so, let's say i have the long/lat or address of many buildings
can get satellite images, "street view", and perhaps 3d/perspective views of buildings.
want to find:
height,
number of floors,
floor area (max building footprint)
of the building. about 200k buildings.
Is there a library for recognizing buildings from satellite shots or pictures? Kind of like face detection I suppose.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks!
Hi,
I really like the idea of putting forms into a seperate class that manages validation etc, but I don't like everything ending up in a DL and also not being able to use square bracket notation in post elements like <input type='checkbox' name='data[]'>.
Is there another way of generating forms - like in views so I can style them the way I want, but also keeping the validation aspect? Also how would I load this view into my current view (using partial view somehow?)
I'd like to store emails in a separate table and allow users to save multiple emails and log in with any of them. I'd also like to store passwords in a different table.
How can I configure Devise to store authentication info elsewhere?
Worst case scenario, if I just have to hack into it, is there a generator to just port everything over to the app? I noticed there was a generator for the views.
Thanks.
I'm upgrading a rails app 2.1 to 2.3.5.
After upgrading i got the error in the views
undefined method `relative_url_root' for #<ActionController>
any suggestions??
I have a collection of links which are being displayed on the index page. Whenever a user clicks a link I want to keep a track of the number of unique views. I know it can be done by tracking the ips whenever a click happens by request.remote_ip and then the link of the page that was clicked. Is there any better approach ? Any plugins etc.
The Twitter app is a tab bar app on the iPhone. Nothing in any of the tabs will rotate, yet, when you click on a link from a tweet, the view controller that is pushed on top of it IS allowed to rotate. The only rotations I have ever doe is from tilting the device, landscape or portrait, but I don't understand how to use 2d transformations and animations to rotate views.
How do you rotate any view with that's a subclass of UIView?
Hi all,
I would like to have both master and detail views visible in landscape and portrait modes.
Like how the Settings app is implemented.
I do not find any samples for this. Appreciate your help..
How would I figure out what type of sql code such as procs, functions, views etc. are interacting with my table called TABLE1 through out a given database. Sample code would be very helpful for me.
thanks
Hi there,
Is there any site that show both OpenID and normal login on the same view? Most of the sites either have OpenID implementation or Normal Login implementation on different views.
I tried to do that, but it seems my code is very dirty, passing a blank username and password if using OpenID, otherwise OpenID will be blank but passed the username and password.
But then I lose the capability of verifying whether the user has entered the correct values, is there any best practice for me to do that?
Thanks a lot
Hi, i have one problem with the Jquery callback functions, here is the link:
http://saveenergy.metropolia.fi/views/pihkapuisto/
as you can see, the first page works fine. but all the others are not fine. they always right side and the size is too small. anyone knows how to change the position and size, make it looks like the first one? thanks
Yes, I know, most of you are thinking I'm an idiot, butt (kidding) I'm not. I've been searching everywhere for something on how to fully make a navigation-based iphone app, but all I've found is how to set up table views or navigation controllers. I haven't found anything on how to create a data model (something simple from arrays and dictionaries, SQLite and CoreData are a bit out of my scope) or navigate it. Does anyone know of any tutorials or anything like that? Thanks.
I have multiple master pages in my asp.net mvc web application... Each of the pages add, edit, view and delete functionalities.... What it does is i have to create multiple views for handling add, edit, view and delete functionalities (ie) the user has to navigate to another view to edit/view the details of a record... How to Handle Multiple Form Actions (ie) add, edit, view and delete functionalities on One View?
To clearly separate the Controller and View layers, I do not longer want to pass full objects to my views. Instead I want to pass only arrays and objects that contain the data but do not have any methods. Otherwise a view script would be able to delete Doctrine records or traverse in the object tree to data that was not intended for the view.
I'm using google analytics and recently i've noticed some weird trends going on. I have a lot of visits that last mere seconds but mark several page views... more than a normal human can see in that range of time. A specific case is that the only visitor from Ireland i've had until now recorded 11 pageviews in a 3 second visit. Are these crawlers? Shouldn't google analytics filter those out?
