  • How can you save Cocos2D window output as Video?

    - by crunchyt
I am considering using the excellent looking Cocos2d for a motion graphics project. However, Cocos2d is intended for games, rather than producing an MPEG stream. Is it possible to save the output from a Cocos2d script to a MOV or MPG file? Ideally this needs to be done in a direct manner, not using a screen capture as this would not meet the requirements of the project. Hopefully there are some cocos2d gurus out there :D Thanks!

  • How to convert a video via ffmpeg to an mp4 format that will stream and/or download to iPhone and Bl

    - by Yegor
I have a site where people upload videos, which are converted to .flv format. Simple. I wanted to also convert to an mp4 format that will "stream" to an iphone and blackberry, or allowed to be downloaded to either, for later viewing. Can someone post a working ffmpeg line to accomplish this task? Closest I got was this (which doesn't work) ffmpeg -i in.avi -f mp4 -vcodec libx264 -maxrate 1000 -qmin 3 -qmax 5 -bufsize 4096 -g 300 -acodec libfaac -s 480x320 -ab 128k -qscale 7 out.mp4

  • RIM blackberry Record 3GP video

    - by pankaj_shukla
Hi All, I am writing an application that can record a 3GP video. I have tried both MMAPI and Invoke API. But have following issues. Using MMAPI: 1. When I record to stream, It records video in RIMM streaming format. when I try to play this video player gives error "Unsupported media format.". 2. When I record to a file. It will create a file of size 0. Using Invoke API: 1. In MMS mode it does not allow to record a video more than 30 seconds. 2. In Normal mode size of the file is very large. 3. Once I invoke camera application I do not have any control on application. Here is my source code: _player = javax.microedition.media.Manager .createPlayer("capture://video?encoding=video/3gpp&mode=mms"); // I have tried every encoding returns from System.getProperty("video.encodings") method _player.realize(); _videoControl = (VideoControl) _player.getControl("VideoControl"); _recordControl = (RecordControl) _player.getControl("RecordControl"); _volumeControl = (VolumeControl) _player.getControl("VolumeControl"); String videoPath = System.getProperty("fileconn.dir.videos"); if (videoPath == null) { videoPath = "file:///store/home/user/videos/"; } _recordControl.setRecordLocation(videoPath + "RecordedVideo.3gp"); _player.addPlayerListener(this); Field videoField = (Field) _videoControl.initDisplayMode( VideoControl.USE_GUI_PRIMITIVE, "net.rim.device.api.ui.Field"); _videoControl.setVisible(true); add(videoField); _player.start(); ON start menu item Selection: try { _recordControl.startRecord(); } catch (Exception e) { _player.close(); showAlert(e.getClass() + " " + e.getMessage()); } On stop menuItem selection: try { _recordControl.commit(); } catch (Exception e) { _player.close(); showAlert(e.getClass() + " " + e.getMessage()); } Please let me if I am doing something wrong. Thanks, Pankaj

  • Embedding Videos onto your website

    - by Bridget
I have a website where I am embedding a video onto. I am just wondering if having an embedded video on the page would make the video load and buffer, and run less smoothly, than if the video where actually placed on the page? Thanks

  • Watch YouTube in Windows 7 Media Center

    - by Mysticgeek
Have you been looking for a way to watch your favorite viral videos from YouTube and Dailymotion from the couch? Today we take a look at an easy to use plugin which allows you to watch streaming video in Windows 7 Media Center. Install Macrotube The first thing we need to do is download and install the plugin called Macrotube (link below) following the defaults through the install wizard. After it’s installed, open Windows 7 Media Center and you’ll find Macrotube in the main menu. Currently there are three services available…YouTube, Dailymotion, and MSN Soapbox. Just select the service where you want to check out some videos. You can browse through different subjects or categories… Or you can search the the service by typing in what you’re looking for…with your remote or keyboard. There is the ability to drill down you search content by date, rating, views, and relevance. There are a few settings available such as the language beta, auto updates, and appearance. Now just kick back and browse through the different services and watch what you want from the comfort of your couch or on your computer. Conclusion This neat project is still in development and the developer is continuing to add changes through updates. It only works with Windows 7 Media Player, but there is a 32 & 64-bit version. Sometimes we experiences certain videos that wouldn’t play and it did crash a few times, but that is to be expected with a work in progress. But overall, this is a cool plugin that will allow you to watch your favorite online content from WMC. • C++ AMP Video Overview

    - by Daniel Moth
I hope to be recording some C++ AMP screencasts for channel9 soon (you'll find them through my regular screencasts link on the left), and in all of them I will assume you have watched this short interview overview of C++ AMP.   Note: I think there were some technical problems with streaming so best to download the "High Quality WMV" or switch to progressive format. Comments about this post by Daniel Moth welcome at the original blog.
