• Problem with monitoring Glassfish with JConsole..

  I have enabled JMX connection on remote Glassfish server and then I've restarted it. During starting server notified: Standard JMX Clients (like JConsole) can connect to JMXServiceURL: [service:jmx:rmi:///jndi/rmi://myserver:8686/jmxrmi] for domain management purposes. Port 8686 is opened for connections. But I can't connect to server with JConsole.. It says: Connection failed. How can I solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

  When I'm trying to use pecl to install apd it compiles the extension for a 64 bit system. Since MAMP needs extensions in i386 mode, apache won't load this apd.so file. So how can I force pecl to compile the extension in i386 mode? Thanks for any help!

The link to the configuration steps, http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28294/create_ps.htm#i63561 When I perform "Step 4 Verfiy that received redo has been applied." my query result is not as expected, following is the result, SQL SELECT SEQUENCE#,APPLIED FROM V$ARCHIVED_LOG ORDER BY SEQUENCE#; SEQUENCE# APP 5 NO 6 NO 7 NO 8 NO 4 rows selected. Appreciate any advice on how to proceed, thanks.

  I have a Macbook Pro with Snow Leopard and Windows 7 Pro (Bootcamp). I have encyrpted all the company computers with truecrypt and now its the Macbooks turn. Will Truecrypt only encrypt the Win 7 partition and will it disable Bootcamp, or would it install after Bootcamp, whereby after I select either the OS X or Windows partition under Bootcamp, the Truecrypt encryption for Win 7 would be activated? • Linux RedHat EL Server 5.2 install on a RAID 5 disk set using GPT not supported?

  Has anyone had experience with setting up Linux RedHat EL Server 5.2 on a hardware platform were the boot partition is larger than 2Tb? Every time I have tried this I get the message that RedHat does not support the boot partition on a GPT volume. Is there a work around for this as I have read that you can use parted but I am not sure how to invoke this on install? Thanks in advance.
