  • Why are changes to classes ignored after dom changes?

    - by Lg102
    I have a price grid that uses relative positioning to move a field around, beneath a box with: overflow: hidden;. In this is field, there are absolute-positioned boxes containing prices. When this box is hovered, the matching values above and left of the will change color. In order to achieve this, a class is toggled using jQuery. This initially works. However, after the grid is moved, the class change doesn't affect the block above the grid anymore. In the Chrome console, i can see the class being added, but it's css-styling isn't applied. No other styles for the element have changed. I am 100% sure there is no other style-rule influencing the element, it just stops responding to the change in class after the DOM has been altered. Can i 'refresh' the DOM somehow? Edit: I've tried to get the relevant code only: Adding the cell in the first place: $("#price_dates_cells").append("<div id='"+weekday[theBeginDate.getDay()]+"-"+theBeginDate.getDate()+"-"+(theBeginDate.getMonth()-1)+"' class='datecell' style='left: "+( Math.floor( difference / ( 3600 * 24 * 1000) ) * ( cellwidth ) )+"px'>"+weekday[theBeginDate.getDay()]+"<br>"+theBeginDate.getDate()+" "+yearmonth[theBeginDate.getMonth()]+"</div>"); Toggle the class: var str_element = "#"+weekday[Bdate.getDay()]+"-"+Bdate.getDate()+"-"+(Bdate.getMonth()-1); $(str_element).toggleClass("red"); and the movement that seems to cause the problem: $('#price_grid').animate({"top": (( ( horizontalMovement ) * cellheight)) }, 'fast', 'linear');

  • java.net.BindException How can I clear the sockets or what ever is causing it?

    - by user2266067
    I need some help with, I guess a simple networking related problem I'm having. It will also help me better understand how all this works by knowing what isn't being .close()'ed. I'm sure this is pretty simple, but for me its all very new. This is the client program. I can most likely append the server then, if I can figure this out. Thanks public class Server { public static void main(String[] args) { start(); } static int start = 0; public static void start() { try { ServerSocket serverSocket = new ServerSocket(4567); Socket socket = serverSocket.accept(); //1) Take and echo input (In this case a message) BufferedReader bf = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(socket.getInputStream())); String message = bf.readLine(); System.out.println("Message recieved from Client:" + message); //2) Response of client message PrintWriter printWriter = new PrintWriter(socket.getOutputStream(), true); printWriter.println("Server echoing back the message ' " + message + " ' from Client"); } catch (IOException e) { System.out.println("e " + e); System.exit(-1); } start++; clearUp(); if (start < 5) { System.out.println("Closing binds and Restarting" + start); start(); } } public void clearUp(){ //How would I clear the stuff that is left bound so I can restart via start() and avoid the java.net.BindException: Address already in use: JVM_Bind ? } } How would I clear the stuff that is left bound so I can restart via start() and avoid java.net.BindException: Address already in use: JVM_Bind ?

  • What do you call the highlight as you hover over an OPTION in a SELECT, and how can I "un"highlight

    - by devils-avacado
    I'm working on dropdowns in IE6 (SELECT with OPTIONs as children). I'm experiencing the problem where, in IE6, dropdown menus are truncated to the width of the SELECT element. I used this jquery to fix it: var css_expanded = { 'width' : 'auto', 'position' : 'absolute', 'left' : '564px', 'top' : '393px' } var css_off = { 'width' : '190px', 'position' : 'relative', 'left' : '0', 'top' : '0' } if($.browser.msie) { $('#dropdown') .bind('mouseover', function() { $(this).css(css_expanded); }) .bind('click', function() { $(this).toggleClass('clicked'); }) .bind('mouseout', function() { if (!$(this).hasClass('clicked')) { $(this).css(css_off); } }) .bind('change blur focusout', function() { $(this).removeClass('clicked') .css(css_off) }); }; It works fine in IE7+8, but in IE6, if the user clicks on a SELECT and does not click any OPTION but instead clicks somewhere else on the page, outside the SELECT (blur), the SELECT still has a "highlight", the same as if they were hovering over an OPTION with my mouse (in my case, a blue color), and the width is not restored until the user clicks outside the SELECT a second time. In other browsers, blur causes every OPTION to not be highlighted. Using JS, how can I de-highlight an option after the dropdown has lost focus.

  • Z-Index: Divs still overlap in the wrong order (browserwide)

    - by BeatMe
    Hi, I can't select one of those dropdrown-links, although the #header div has a higher z-index than the rest. All relevant divs are in the same level but do not align properly: http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/4245/zindex.png <div id="header"> <div id="navigation"> </div> </div> <div id="sidebar"></div> <div id="content"> ... </div> #header { width: 915px; height: 76px; z-index: 5; } #content { width: 677px; height: 412px; margin-left: 202px; z-index:1; } #sidebar { float: left; width: 200px; height: 448px; z-index: 2; } #navigation { height: 28px; width: 915px; float: right; }

  • many to many relationship mysql select

    - by zeina
    Let's consider 2 tables "schools" and "students". Now a student may belong to different schools in his life, and a school have many students. So this is a many to many example. A third table "links" specify the relation between student and school. Now to query this I do the following: Select sc.sid , -- stands for school id st.uid, -- stands for student id sc.sname, -- stands for school name st.uname, -- stands for student name -- select more data about the student joining other tables for that from students s left join links l on l.uid=st.uid -- l.uid stands for the student id on the links table left join schools sc on sc.sid=l.sid -- l.sid is the id of the school in the links table where st.uid=3 -- 3 is an example this query will return duplicate data for the user id if he has more than one school, so to fix this I added group by st.uid, yet I also need the list of school name related to the same user. Is there a way to do it with fixing the query I wrote instead of having 2 queries? So as example I want to have Luci of schools ( X, Y, Z, R, ...) etc

  • Simple Physics Simulation in java not working.

    - by Static Void Main
    Dear experts, I wanted to implement ball physics and as i m newbie, i adapt the code in tutorial http://adam21.web.officelive.com/Documents/JavaPhysicsTutorial.pdf . i try to follow that as i much as i can, but i m not able to apply all physical phenomenon in code, can somebody please tell me, where i m mistaken or i m still doing some silly programming mistake. The balls are moving when i m not calling bounce method and i m unable to avail the bounce method and ball are moving towards left side instead of falling/ending on floor**, Can some body recommend me some better way or similar easy compact way to accomplish this task of applying physics on two ball or more balls with interactivity. here is code ; import java.awt.*; public class AdobeBall { protected int radius = 20; protected Color color; // ... • Why won't my WPF XAML Grid TranslateTransform.X ?

    - by George
    I'm able to change the width/height of the grid using this, so why won't it work when I use (Grid.RenderTransform).TranslateTransform.X as such: <Window.Triggers> <EventTrigger RoutedEvent="Button.Click" SourceName="button"> <BeginStoryboard> <Storyboard> <DoubleAnimation Storyboard.TargetProperty="(Grid.RenderTransform).(TranslateTransform.X)" From="0" To="200" Storyboard.TargetName="grid" Duration="0:0:2" /> </Storyboard> </BeginStoryboard> </EventTrigger> </Window.Triggers> The application loads etc, but nothing happens when the button is clicked. Here is the XAML for my grid: <Grid x:Name="grid" Height="714" Canvas.Left="240" Canvas.Top="8" Width="360" RenderTransformOrigin="0.5,0.5"> <Grid.Background> <LinearGradientBrush EndPoint="0.5,1" StartPoint="0.5,0"> <GradientStop Color="Black" Offset="0"/> <GradientStop Color="White" Offset="1"/> </LinearGradientBrush> </Grid.Background> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="0*"/> <ColumnDefinition/> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> </Grid> Note that I've tried many different Canvas.Left values, to no avail.

  • print friendly version of floated list

    - by Brad
    I have a list of phone extensions that I want to print a friendly version of it. I have a print css for it to print appropriately onto paper, the extensions are located within an unordered list, which are floated to the left. <ul> <li>Larry Hughes <span class="ext">8291</span></li> <li>Chuck Davis <span class="ext">3141</span></li> <li>Kevin Skillis <span class="ext">5115</span></li> </ul> I float it left, and when it prints the second page, it leaves off the name part of the list (in Firefox, works fine in Google Chrome and IE), see here: http://cl.ly/de965aea63f66c13ba32 I am referring to this: http://www.alistapart.com/articles/goingtoprint/ - they mentioned something about applying a float:none; to the content part of the page. If I do that, how should I go about making the list show up in 4 columns? It is a dynamic list, pulled from a database. Any help is appreciated.

  • Identical files from different servers. Why might IE 8 display them differently?

    - by jasongetsdown
    I'm working on a site that will go on my company's intranet. I developed it locally on my computer, checking it in different browsers and on colleague's computers, and when it was done I handed it off to IT. They put identical copies on a staging server, and on the production server. This is a site built only with html, javascript, and css. No server side scripting. It also uses a DWF viewer plugin from Autodesk. It is a single standalone page (not part of a CMS) that allows users to load drawings into the viewer and then click to see info from a database of space info saved in a series of js arrays (the space DB software spits out a js file with all the info listed in array literals, creating a crap ton of global variables - ugh, but I digress). When I followed their links (using IE 8) the version on the staging server looked as expected, but the layout is hosed on the version from the production server. Specifically, it seems like a div that is supposed to flow to the right of a div that is float: left is displaying below the floated div at full width, as though it was clear: left (which it is not). It also has the wrong height. I downloaded the files from each and they are identical to my local version. Frustrated, I cleared my browser's cache, restarted my computer, checked it on a colleague's computer who also has IE 8. All the same issue. Staging server good. Production server bad. Finally I uninstalled IE 8 and looked at it in IE 6. Both versions looked fine. So, to recap. Two different servers. No server side scripting. Identical files. One browser agrees they are identical, the other does not. What could cause this?

  • Get the first and last posts in a thread

    - by Grampa
    I am trying to code a forum website and I want to display a list of threads. Each thread should be accompanied by info about the first post (the "head" of the thread) as well as the last. My current database structure is the following: threads table: id - int, PK, not NULL, auto-increment name - varchar(255) posts table: id - int, PK, not NULL, auto-increment thread_id - FK for threads The tables have other fields as well, but they are not relevant for the query. I am interested in querying threads and somehow JOINing with posts so that I obtain both the first and last post for each thread in a single query (with no subqueries). So far I am able to do it using multiple queries, and I have defined the first post as being: SELECT * FROM threads t LEFT JOIN posts p ON t.id = p.thread_id ORDER BY p.id LIMIT 0, 1 The last post is pretty much the same except for ORDER BY id DESC. Now, I could select multiple threads with their first or last posts, by doing: SELECT * FROM threads t LEFT JOIN posts p ON t.id = p.thread_id ORDER BY p.id GROUP BY t.id But of course I can't get both at once, since I would need to sort both ASC and DESC at the same time. What is the solution here? Is it even possible to use a single query? Is there any way I could change the structure of my tables to facilitate this? If this is not doable, then what tips could you give me to improve the query performance in this particular situation?

  • jQuery Ajax call for buttons on a list

    - by lloydphillips
    I have a list of data that i have in a view from an asp.net mvc application. It's a list of stock and I have two images (a plus and a minus) on the end of each row which will allow me to increase or decrease stock quantity. It works fine at present with a call to the mvc action but since the list is long I want to use jQuery and AJAX to have the call go without a refresh. I want to do this with unobtrusive javascript so don't want onclick handlers on my images. Since I'm just starting out with jQuery I have no idea how I can iterate all the images and add the function. Here are the images with the form tags as they stand: <td> <% using (Html.BeginForm("Increase", "Stock", new { Id = item.StockId })) {%> <input type="image" src="/Content/Images/bullet_add.png" style="margin-left:20px;" /> <% } %> </td> <td><% using (Html.BeginForm("Decrease", "Stock", new { Id = item.StockId })) {%> <input type="image" src="/Content/Images/bullet_delete.png" style="margin-left:10px;" /><% } %> </td> Can anyone help me out a little? Many thanks. Lloyd

  • codeigniter active record and mysql

    - by sea_1987
    I am running a query with Active Record in a modal of my codeigniter application, the query looks like this, public function selectAllJobs() { $this->db->select('*') ->from('job_listing') ->join('job_listing_has_employer_details', 'job_listing_has_employer_details.employer_details_id = job_listing.id', 'left'); //->join('employer_details', 'employer_details.users_id = job_listing_has_employer_details.employer_details_id'); $query = $this->db->get(); return $query->result_array(); } This returns an array that looks like this, [0]=> array(13) { ["id"]=> string(1) "1" ["job_titles_id"]=> string(1) "1" ["location"]=> string(12) "Huddersfield" ["location_postcode"]=> string(7) "HD3 4AG" ["basic_salary"]=> string(19) "£20,000 - £25,000" ["bonus"]=> string(12) "php, html, j" ["benefits"]=> string(11) "Compnay Car" ["key_skills"]=> string(1) "1" ["retrain_position"]=> string(3) "YES" ["summary"]=> string(73) "Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry" ["description"]=> string(73) "Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry" ["job_listing_id"]=> NULL ["employer_details_id"]=> NULL } } The job_listing_id and employer_details_id return as NULL however if I run the SQL in phpmyadmin I get full set of results, the query i running in phpmyadmin is, SELECT * FROM ( `job_listing` ) LEFT JOIN `job_listing_has_employer_details` ON `job_listing_has_employer_details`.`employer_details_id` LIMIT 0 , 30 Is there a reason why I am getting differing results?

  • Why does my DIV clip its child DIV when jQuery moves it in IE?

    - by Ben Saufley
    I have two divs, both with position:absolute;, one inside the other. The parent isn't in a place where it can be set as position:relative without an extra layer of complexity (there are a lot of other elements around it that I'd have to account for to put it where it needs to be, which is at the very top of the page, over everything). The child element is made to stick off the bottom of the parent. In Chrome, Safari, Firefox, it all works splendidly. In IE, it works until jQuery moves the parent element - at which point the parent element clips the child, so you can barely see the top of the child. I feel like I've read about this, about IE clipping child elements, but I can't seem to find an answer that applies to my case. It's pretty simple, basically: <div id="parent" style="position:absolute;top:0;left:0;"> [content] <div id="tab" style="position:absolute;bottom:-30px;left:0;width:64px;height:32px;background-image:(...);"></div> </div> <script> $(document).ready( function() { $("#tab").click(function() { $("#parent").animate({"top":"-50px"},300); }); }); </script>

  • Applying MVVM to ASP.NET

    - by Moussa
    Hi everyone, I am learning MVVM and i want to use it with ASP.NET. Some of the examples that i found on the internet uses XAML for the view. Is there a way to use a regular ASP.NET page instead of XAML for the view? - by Vilx-
    I'm a C++ amateur. I'm writing some Win32 API code and there are handles and weirdly compositely allocated objects aplenty. So I was wondering - is there some wrapper class that would make resource management easier? For example, when I want to load some data I open a file with CreateFile() and get a HANDLE. When I'm done with it, I should call CloseHandle() on it. But for any reasonably complex loading function there will be dozens of possible exit points, not to mention exceptions. So it would be great if I could wrap the handle in some kind of wrapper class which would automatically call CloseHandle() once execution left the scope. Even better - it could do some reference counting so I can pass it around in and out of other functions, and it would release the resource only when the last reference left scope. The concept is simple - but is there something like that in the standard library? I'm using Visual Studio 2008, by the way, and I don't want to attach a 3rd party framework like Boost or something.

  • Mobile detection - Meta tag and max-device-width vs. php user agent?

    - by nimmbl
    Which form of mobile detection should I use and why? <meta name="viewport" content="width=320,initial-scale=1,maximum-scale=1.0,user-scalable=no" /> <link media="only screen and (max-device-width: 480px) and (min-device-width: 320px)" href="css/mobile.css" type= "text/css" rel="stylesheet"> <link media="handheld, only screen and (max-device-width: 319px)" href="css/mobile_simple.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" /> Or include('mobile_device_detect.php'); $mobile = mobile_device_detect(); And why on earth would this: <?php if(strpos($_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT'], 'iPhone') !== false) { ?> <meta name="viewport" content="width=320,initial-scale=1,maximum-scale=1.0,user-scalable=no" /> <link media="screen" href="css/mobile.css" type= "text/css" rel="stylesheet"> <?php } else { ?> <link media="screen" href="css/mobile_simple.css" type= "text/css" rel="stylesheet"> <?php } ?> ignore this css? body { background: -webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, from(#555), to(#000)); }

  • HTML email image inverts on link click Outlook 07/10/13

    - by Matt Maclennan
    I'm having an issue on a HTML email in Word rendered Outlooks (2007, 2010, 2013) where I click an image link, and when the mouse is clicked, the image inverts... Here is the code below... <td align="left" width="360" valign="top" style="mso-table-lspace: 0pt; mso-table-rspace: 0pt; border-collapse: collapse;" class="hide"> <a href="#" target="_blank"> <img src="test.jpg" width="360" height="528" alt="alt tag" style="display:block;" class="img_mob centertable" border="0" align="left"> </a> </td> Here is a comparison on the image clicked/not clicked... I have tried putting a text-decoration: none on the link. All the links are styled inline as well. This is the only image that it is having this issue on the email, so tried re-saving the image with no luck. The image is saved as a JPEG and SRGB from a Photoshop PSD. Any ideas? Thanks.

  • T-SQL: how to sort table rows based on 2 columns

    - by Criss Nautilus
    I'm quite stuck with this problem for sometime now.. How do I sort column A depending on the contents of Column B? I have this sample: ID count columnA ColumnB 12 1 A B 13 2 C D 14 3 B C I want to sort it like this: ID count ColumnA ColumnB 12 1 A B 14 3 B C 13 2 C D so I need to sort the rows if the previous row of ColumnB = the next row of ColumnA I'm thinking a loop? but can't quite imagine how it will work... I was thinking it will go like this (maybe) SELECT a.ID, a.ColumnA, a.ColumnB FROM TableA WITH a (NOLOCK) LEFT JOIN TableA b WITH (NOLOCK) ON a.ID = b.ID and a.counts = b.counts Where a.columnB = b.ColumnA the above code isn't working though and I was thinking more on the lines of... DECLARE @counts int = 1 DECLARE @done int = 0 --WHILE @done = 0 BEGIN SELECT a.ID, a.ColumnA, a.ColumnB FROM TableA WITH a (NOLOCK) LEFT JOIN TableA b WITH (NOLOCK) ON a.ID = b.ID and a.counts = @counts Where a.columnB = b.ColumnA set @count = @count +1 END If this was a C code, would be easier for me but t-sql's syntax is making it a bit harder for a noobie like me.

  • How to detect if a certain range resides (partly) within an other range?

    - by Tom
    Lets say I've got two squares and I know their positions, a red and blue square: redTopX; redTopY; redBotX; redBotY; blueTopX; blueTopY; blueBotX; blueBotY; Now, I want to check if square blue resides (partly) within (or around) square red. This can happen in a lot of situations, as you can see in this image I created to illustrate my situation better: Note that there's always only one blue and one red square, I just added multiple so I didn't have to redraw 18 times. My original logic was simple, I'd check all corners of square blue and see if any of them are inside square red: if ( ((redTopX >= blueTopX) && (redTopY >= blueTopY) && (redTopX <= blueBotX) && (redTopY <= blueBotY)) || //top left ((redBotX >= blueTopX) && (redTopY >= blueTopY) && (redBotX <= blueBotX) && (redTopY <= blueBotY)) || //top right ((redTopX >= blueTopX) && (redBotY >= blueTopY) && (redTopX <= blueBotX) && (redBotY <= blueBotY)) || //bottom left ((redBotX >= blueTopX) && (redBotY >= blueTopY) && (redBotX <= blueBotX) && (redBotY <= blueBotY)) //bottom right ) { //blue resides in red } Unfortunately, there are a couple of flaws in this logic. For example, what if red surrounds blue (like in situation 1)? I thought this would be pretty easy but am having trouble coming up with a good way of covering all these situations.. can anyone help me out here? Regards, Tom

  • How do you convert bytes of bitmap into x, y location of pixels?

    - by Jon
    I have a win32 program that creates a bitmap screenshot. I am trying to figure out the x and y coordinates of the bmBits. Below is the code I have so far: UINT32 nScreenX = GetSystemMetrics(SM_CXSCREEN); UINT32 nScreenY = GetSystemMetrics(SM_CYSCREEN); HDC hdc = GetDC(NULL); HDC hdcScreen = CreateCompatibleDC(hdc); HBITMAP hbmpScreen = CreateDIBSection( hdcDesk, ( BITMAPINFO* )&bitmapInfo.bmiHeader,DIB_RGB_COLORS, &bitmapDataPtr, NULL, 0 ); SelectObject(hdcScreen, hbmpScreen); BitBlt(hdcScreen, 0, 0, nScreenX , nScreenY , hdc, 0, 0, SRCCOPY); ReleaseDC(NULL, hdc); BITMAP bmpScreen; GetObject(hbmpScreen, sizeof(bmpScreen), &bmpScreen); DWORD *pScreenPixels = (DWORD*)bmpScreen.bmBits, UINT32 x = 0; UINT32 y = 0; UINT32 nCntPixels = nScreenX * nScreenY; for(int n = 0; n < nCntPixels; n++) { x = n % nScreenX; y = n / nScreenX; //do stuff with the x and y vals } The code seem correct to me but, when I use this code the x and y values appear to be off. Where does the first pixel of bmBits start? When x and y are both 0. Is that the top left, bottom left, bottom right or top right? Thanks.

  • Jquery find first visible element after horizontal scroll

    - by lolo flores
    I’m new (only two weeks old) in Jquery, so please bear with me. I know that a very similar question was asked some time ago but I do not know how to adapt the answer to my problem. I have a very wide multicolumn layout something like this: | aaaa | bbbb | cccc | … | | aaaa | b | cc | … | | aaa | cccc | ddd | … | The code looks like: <div id="container"> <p>aaaaaaaaaaa</p> <p>bbbbb</p> <p>ccccccccccc</p> <p>dddddddddd</p> ... <p>xxxxxx</p> </div> There is no vertical scrolling and the container width is set in such a way that only two columns are shown. The user scrolls left or right to see the relevant text. What I want is to get the position currently on display, store it (maybe in a cookie) and retrieve it the next time the user opens the page. I think that I need a way of finding out what paragraph is currently the left-top most, but other suggestions are very welcome. Any ideas? btw: this is an internal project, so Mozilla only :-) Thanks Lolo

  • How can I use a parent content control from a sub binding?

    - by MGSoto
    I have the following code currently: <DataTemplate DataType="{x:Type vm:SectionViewModel}"> <ScrollViewer> <ItemsControl ItemsSource="{Binding ViewModels}"> <Grid/> </ItemsControl> </ScrollViewer> </DataTemplate> <DataTemplate DataType="{x:Type vm:StringViewModel}"> <Label Name="Left" Grid.Row="0" Grid.Column="0" Content="{Binding Label}"/> <TextBox Name="Right" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" Grid.Row="0" Grid.Column="1" Text="{Binding Value}"/> </DataTemplate> The ViewModels property bound to SectionViewModel ItemsControl is a list of StringViewModel. I want to insert each StringViewModel into some sort of content control in the ItemsControl. Originally I just had each StringViewModel to make its own Grid, but that left things unaligned. I'd like to insert these items into some sort of content control in ItemsControl, it doesn't necessarily have to be a grid, but it should be within the ItemsControl. How can I do this? I'm also following MVVM, using MVVM Light.

  • Random Movement in a Fixed Container

    - by James Barracca
    I'm looking to create something that can move randomly inside of a fixed div container. I love the way the object moves in this example that I found searching this website... http://jsfiddle.net/Xw29r/15/ The code on the jsfiddle contains the following: $(document).ready(function(){ animateDiv(); }); function makeNewPosition(){ // Get viewport dimensions (remove the dimension of the div) var h = $(window).height() - 50; var w = $(window).width() - 50; var nh = Math.floor(Math.random() * h); var nw = Math.floor(Math.random() * w); return [nh,nw]; } function animateDiv(){ var newq = makeNewPosition(); var oldq = $('.a').offset(); var speed = calcSpeed([oldq.top, oldq.left], newq); $('.a').animate({ top: newq[0], left: newq[1] }, speed, function(){ animateDiv(); }); }; function calcSpeed(prev, next) { var x = Math.abs(prev[1] - next[1]); var y = Math.abs(prev[0] - next[0]); var greatest = x > y ? x : y; var speedModifier = 0.1; var speed = Math.ceil(greatest/speedModifier); return speed; }? CSS: div.a { width: 50px; height:50px; background-color:red; position:fixed; }? However, I don't believe the code above constricts that object at all. I need my object to move randomly inside of a container that is let's say for now... 1200px in width and 500px in height. Can someone steer me in the right direction? I'm super new to coding so I'm having a hard time finding an answer on my own. Thanks so much! James
