  • How do you disable the Windows Phone 7 splash screen?

    Hi, Is there any way to disable the WP7 splash screen and just show a blank screen? My splash screen only stays on for less than half a second, leaving the user with a rather jarring sensation. I'd rather they not see any splash screen at all. I would have simply used a plain black image as my splash screen, but then that would result in an ugly experience for people using a light theme (since my app's background is white on light themes and black on dark themes) Thanks!

    I have multiple document.ready functions on a page and I want a function to be called when all my document.ready functions have been executed. I simply want the function to be called at the very end, after all other document.ready functions have executed. An example of this could be that each document.ready function increments a global variable when it has been executed, and the last function needs to check the value of that variable at the very end. Any ideas ?

What I need is a T-SQL script that I could simply execute that would have the same effect as calling the ExecuteNonQuery method on the command object. Is there an easy way to do such "script dump" or do I have to manually construct such script from the command object ?

    Alright so i have two identical string methods... string CreateCust() { string nameArray[] ={"Tom","Timo","Sally","Kelly","Bob","Thomas","Samantha","Maria"}; int d = rand() % (8 - 1 + 1) + 1; string e = nameArray[d]; return e; } string CreateFood() { string nameArray[] = {"spagetti", "ChickenSoup", "Menudo"}; int d = rand() % (3 - 1 + 1) + 1; string f = nameArray[d]; return f; } however no matter what i do it the guts of CreateFood it will always crash. i created a test chassis for it and it always fails at the cMeal = CreateFood(); Customer Cnow; cout << "test1" << endl; cMeal = Cnow.CreateFood(); cout << "test1" << endl; cCustomer = Cnow.CreateCust(); cout << "test1" << endl; i even switched CreateCust with CreateFood and it still fails at the CreateFood Function... NOTE: if i make createFood a int method it does work...

Simply put how can I pass this object between activities to maintain my session variables? Bundle.put... doesn't seem to support this object. If it does how does it work with DefaultHttpClient?     I'm trying to convince a page that it is the window.top even though it is in an iframe. In FF you can do window.defineGetter('top', function() { return window}); in Webkit (Safari/Chrome) you can simply do window.top = window but in IE none of those methods work. Anyone done this before?

    Is it right that the procedure of using log4j looks like this: 1) put a .properties file somewhere in a project folder 2) in an initialization method, that runs only once, invoke PropertyConfigurator.configure("path_to_file"); 3) in every method we need to use logger we define a static logger variable and simply invoke getLogger(class) I'm asking you this: what if the initialization module is not defined? Where to put "log4j.properties" file so that we wouldn't need to invoke propertyconfigurator.configure at all, or if it's not possible, is it ok to invoke PropertyConfigurator.configure("path_to_file") in every method that uses a logger?
