  I created a bunch of nodes using node_save(). Unfortunately, I forgot to turn on the Automatic alias setting on them. Anyone know how I can do that now? I can't figure out where in the db that setting is stored. (Other non-db approaches are fine, too.)

  I have a bunch of models for Oauth services, things like: TwitterToken GoogleToken There are OAuth versions and OpenID versions for some, so I decided to logically organize my gem like so: lib lib/my-auth-gem lib/my-auth-gem/oauth lib/my-auth-gem/oauth/tokens/google_token ... lib/my-auth-gem/openid/tokens/google_token ... I would like to be able to name my models GoogleToken, rather than MyAuthGem::Oauth::Tokens::GoogleToken. How do I do that? This will be for Rails 2.3+ and Rails 3.

  Hi, Due to the lack of Deployment functionality of Visual Studio Express edition, I'm here asking if anyone can recommend a very nice free Deployment template for the express edition. I'm mainly working with C# desktop project. I know that there is still ClickOnce deployment in the Express edition, but it seems to me that it is not so difficult to control, which means, you do "click once", then the tool will give you a bunch of files out of my control, not so easy to maintain. • Perl: How do I remove the first line of a file without reading and copying whole file.

  I do have a whole bunch of files in a directory and from every file I want to remove the first line (including carriage return). I can read the whole file into an array of strings and write all but the first element to a new file, but that looks a bit cumbersome to me are there better ways? Oh the prefered language is Perl.

• When you need pass by reference in Java to assign values to multiple parameters, how do you do it?

  In order to refactor some methods into smaller ones, I need pass by reference, since I can only have one return type. I could create a different return or parameter type whenever I need to do this, but then I'd end up with a bunch of bloated, seemingly unnecessary classes. What is the best alternative here, besides redesigning the program, which can't be done?

  I usually run Fiddler for net traffic monitoring and now am using a Mac machine. I thought Firebug's net tab can show the traffic that is fetched through AJAX (the net tab is enabled). But if I try google.com, and type in something, its "google suggest" will show a bunch of suggestions, but the Firebug's "net" tab is not showing anything?

• Why is it that I can include a header file in multiple cpp files that contains const int and not have a compiler error?

  Let's assume that I have files a.cpp b.cpp and file c.h. Both of the cpp files include the c.h file. The header file contains a bunch of const int definitions and when I compile them I get no errors and yet I can access those const as if they were global variables. So the question, why don't I get any compilation errors if I have multiple const definitions as well as these const int's having global-like scope?

  I created a TabNavigator with a bunch of NavigatorContent inside it, and want to skin just the buttons of the tabs themselves. So I added a skinClass, but looks like in the documentation, there's no skin part to target the button specifically. Do I have to style the mx:TabNavigator itself to accomplish this? I was hoping not since I don't know how to style mx components and am more comfortable with styling spark. Any other alternatives that I didn't think about?

  This problem occurs over and over. I have some complicated object, such as a Cat, which has many properties, such as age, favorite cat food, and so forth. A bunch of Cats are stored in a Java Collection, and I need to find all the Cats that are aged 3, or those whose favorite cat food is Whiskas. Surely, I can write a custom method that finds those Cats with a specific property, but this gets cumbersome with many properties; is there some generic way of doing this?
